He showed me some options while another gentleman gave me a book to take home and told me to go online and try the flooring in my room online. I called on a Friday to inform them I would be off the following Saturday I was told to call Saturday morning and Bob would be able to help me. I called & Bob came over and took the measurements with no pre-appointment I was able to go back to the store and get some large sample boards and take them home and see how they looked in the lighting in my house awesome customer service by all the staff. Starting in August 24, 2023 Mike called me back with a price for the work I needed done. Him & his staff Sabrina & Bob were absolutely awesome. Fortunately & unfortunately for me when Sabrina & crew came by to lay the floor down my subflooring was rotted & when I asked about the kitchen I was told my dishwasher was placed under the subfloor & if the floor was put in & the dishwasher failed or needed to be replaced (which I was planning on) the floor, countertops & cabinets would have to be ripped out. Wait! What?! Dayum! Wasn't expecting that. Because of their honesty & integrity I later found out that The back room was improperly installed on a wooden deck that is rotting and sinking into the ground so now my back room has to be demolished and rebuilt! UGHH!! And to think all because I wanted a new floor. Soooooo! Now all these months later I'm still figuring out what needs to be remodeled & what actually can be remodeled. Not having fun yet. But I'm grateful for A-1 Carpets help with giving me a contractor's number & working with my crazy work schedule. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. 3-27-2022

The whole staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Vivian helped me pick the right rug for our house. She gave great advice and I'm happy I listened to her. The owner Adam did a very outstanding job and made my stairs look very elegant and beautiful. Most important he made my stairs safe and now it's not slippery like before and the rugs didn't take away the beauty of the stairs. Adam also made me a front door mat which matched beautifully with the stair runner rug. Best quality rugs and professionally installed the right way. Every that comes over is very impressed by the rugs and it looks beautiful. Thank you custom stair runners.

I found this business here and knew nothing about them but the reviews and pictures were very…read moreconvincing so I gave them a call. I explained it was a small job in a 10x10 room with a closet and the oak floor had been covered for at least 30 years and in rough shape. We discussed some options and I answered all of his questions about the floor and the room and he said, sight unseen, it just needed a sanding and new coat of finish and would cost X and he could come do the job in 3 days and would only take 1 day. With some mild doubt I agreed but bored for the best, we've been screwed by contractors before. The day and time he said he'd arrive he did. He came in, looked at the existing floor, the bad floor and immediately said it would take 2 days not 1 because the existing floor was oil based, not water which I thought it was. I was pissed because now I'm assuming the job would cost twice as much and this already felt like bait and switch. Luis explained the job would overall take less time to do in total, but has to be spread out to allow drying time between 2 oil based coats rather than 2 water based coats and the price would be impacted. I got ready to ask him to leave and he said the price would GO DOWN $75!!! I asked him to repeat himself, he laughed and said rather than spending the whole day doing the floor it was only going to take him a few hours now, and come back tomorrow for another 30 minutes and that's it. Let me tell you how shocked I was at his honesty and professionalism. I'm today's market with inflation and all the nonsense that goes on with shady people Luis and his team were exactly what you'd hope them to be. They did an immaculate job on a really rough floor in the time they said and under budget. If I could give them more stars I would.

It was my tenant with every landlord's nightmare scenario. The unit above mine had a water line break causing ceilings to collapse and carpeting to be trashed. The bill from Servpro alone was over $4000.00, and that was only the beginning. Faced with having to fix everything fast and right I called on some friends who connected me with Model Carpet. My first shot was Home Depot but they were, at best, a 72 hour wait for less than satisfactory carpet. Keep in mind that I've also got a tenant with no place to live! I called Model on Monday at about 2:00 PM. The owner was EXTREMELY helpful and very sympathetic to my emergency. He had a worker there to measure my unit about three hours later, made great suggestion about my needs, and by Thursday at about noon my unit had a brand new beautiful berber carpet installed allowing the ceiling work to proceed. With this kind of service I can see why this operation has stayed alive and competes more than well with the "big box" guys. Additionally, the price was right. In a nutshell, fantastic service from first call to completion. Speak to Joe.
