We needed a re-call for carpet not laying down in a doorway, and glue on carpet from a seam. Supervisor came out and cut out the glue, so can only hope now it doesn't run. He told me to use the vacuum on the highest setting. Most un-professional job I've ever had here. I wanted to go local to support our town, but I obviously chose the wrong store.

After 6 reputable, well experienced and HONEST licensed and insured flooring specialist UNANIMOUSLY agreed that the floor was not installed professionally or correctly, you have to wonder how on earth Mr. Menzi could make his determination. With so many flooring companies to choose from, save yourself from dealing with either an extremely unethical or extremely unprofessional business.

From the start, Tile Center made this piece of our process easy and pleasant, and we love the outcome. As project manager, Joe was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. He came to our house very quickly after our initial outreach, returned later with grout samples, and walked us through options at the showroom. He always responded quickly to emails and texts. He helped us navigate tile shortages and advised us when we needed to order from a third party. Thomas, the installer, was also fantastic. His work is beautiful, and on top of that, he was just incredibly lovely to be around. He not only tolerated, but was awesomely kind to, our very loud and unhelpful dog! He also went above and beyond dealing with various issues that arose. James, who came on one of the days, was also great. On top of everything else, we really appreciated how both Joe and Thomas worked things out so that we could live in the house throughout the installation. That was really helpful as far as both hassle and the potential extra cost of lodging. We got porcelain wood-look tiles, and we really like the outcome (see picture). 100% recommend.

We cannot speak highly enough about the team of craftsmen that work for Hauptman. They are professional, personable and highly skilled individuals that gave our home many small but important custom finishes that we enjoy daily. Custom finishing and materials takes time to put into place and cannot be rushed. Hauptman has been in the business of building for decades and has solid relationships with all of the subcontractors required to build a home. This also attests to the type of builder that Hauptman is. When we had an issue post build with our fireplace, the contractor immediately came out and resolved it for us, replacing the defective part. First class service all the way. When we realized after our roof had been fully shingled that we needed a patio cover/roof for shade, Bill drew up 4 different options for us to choose from and seamlessly attached the sloped patio roof to our existing home structure. It looks like it was part of the original design and not the after thought that it was. Hauptman is a builder that values integrity in everything that they say and do. Their prices are very fair for this locale's market. Bill and team demonstrated a patience working with my needs for handicap features throughout our home and exceeded all of our expectations. IF you are looking for a builder that has the respect and appreciation of not only his clients but also his colleagues, give them a call. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

I will preface by stating that we have solicited bids from local contractors only, with (supposedly) stellar reputations for quality work and customer service. Unfortunately, I was given the name of this company by someone who thought Dertzbaugh qualified. Not the case. I called and left a message that we needed an estimate to replace the existing Masonite siding on our home, and we are cash customers who are ready to have it done NOW. I was told that "no one was in who could help, and to leave a message". Over a week passes, and no contact from them. So I call back, and ask when I might expect a call. Frank himself then calls, says he'll "get back to me". Nothing. No one met with us, no one asked specific questions on the phone, or via email, to ascertain our concerns or needs. No one even told us when or if they were coming to our home to measure. Then, without any other contact, I receive an estimate via email. Wow, talk about impersonal and apparently not taking us as serious customers, which we ARE. I might add that all potential customers should be treated as serious customers in any business, but I digress. So we get this short, impersonal, "bid" via email instructing us to "sign and return one copy along with the deposit. Please respond back to this estimate in a week or less.." this is funny, no one responded to me in a week or less! No one ever told me they were even coming to our house...if they ever did! To make matters more insulting, their bid (which was thousands higher than any other) included an option of leaving the existing Masonite siding on the home and siding over it! Yes, this is fine for existing vinyl or aluminum siding, but not for a product that is now infamous for rotting and collecting MOLD. For anyone not familiar with Masonite, please Google it, and you will see the multitude of problems and the resulting lawsuits and settlements. NO REPUTABLE CONTRACTOR WOULD EVER EVEN SUGGEST THIS AS AN OPTION. PERIOD. Great that the guy started the business in the 70's and may have done great work then, not so great that now he's advertising on the radio that they're a "family business who cares...", when nothing could be further from the truth. Don't waste your time, and apparently their's.
