    Arriving 20 minutes before take off, deplaning and out the door into my Uber in less than ten minutes is the win. Snacks, cocktails and free coffee while you wait. I will take them going forward.

    We flew charter on JSX to Vegas. Tickets are a bit more but the ease of not going to the regular airport is a bonus. You pull up and they valet your car which is also nice. The staff checking in was very friendly. No waiting to go through security which is another huge bonus. The lounge was nice. There was free coffee and hot chocolate. The planes are smaller but really nice. The flight attendant brought free drinks and snacks quickly and there is also free WiFi. My only complaint was that our flight was an hour and a half late but you could possibly get that at any airport. Side bar, we still enjoyed the experience but our flight back was delayed 3 times. Ended up leaving 4 hours later than our scheduled time. If and when we fly again we will make sure we don't have plans the day we fly.

    First experience on a semi private jet, charter jet, private travel, or ??? Quality/Quantity - Excellent. Quick, easy, smooth check-in. Also, just roll them your carry on or luggage and they do the rest. It will be waiting for you when you walk off the plane. Smooth take off and landing. Atmosphere - As advertised, no crowds, no lines, and no hassles. Got here too early, because it was my first experience. Easy drop off and pick up. Plane: 30 Comfortable leather seats; single or double seats. Business class legroom. Power outlets at every row. Full flight attendant service. Complimentary gourmet snacks, beer, wine, and spirits. No overhead storage bins for a more spacious cabin. Valet parking for a fee. Very limited (basically zero) parking, so rideshare is the best and what is suggested. Service - Team was excellent, especially the flight attendant who was very accommodating. They service Oakland, Reno, and LA; all the places I visit often. Very limited flights, but expanding as we speak. Direct flights to the "local" places I visit, so I am happy. Carry on was waiting for me when I landed, taking less than a minute to grab my bag and go. Uber comes directly to where we are, no need to walk through an entire airport. Pet friendly, I believe there is an extra charge, check their website. Price - $325 round trip. Approximately double what Southwest airlines charges, but worth it. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on all your success since 2016. This might be my new form of travel... Not happy to pay extra for seat assignments. I prefer that you just raise the price, which most of us are willing to pay versus feeling "nickled and dimed". You cater to more affluent customers, who are willing and able to pay the raised prices. Whereas many of us, affluent or not, do NOT like to see an extra tax/fee on our bill. Is this a price sensitivity issue or marketing issue?

    I don't want to ever fly on the regular airlines again. I'm very fortunate that the flight I need most often, Oakland-Phoenix, is one of their routes. My dad lives in the Phoenix area and has been having a lot of medical issues. So I get the call that he's in the hospital and I have to go. When you travel like that, booking the same day as travel, Southwest and the other airlines usually have fares that are within $40 of the JSX fare, and quite often they're the same. Obviously if you can plan ahead, you'll save $$, but honestly it's not that much and the value of being able to get to the JSX lounge just 20 minutes prior, not have to go through TSA, and just hand your bag to the person when you check in is worth every cent. When I'm trying to get to the hospital, every minute counts. And then when you're on the plane, it's so nice not to be smooshed in between people and with 150 other people. The planes hold 30 passengers, and I've been on flights with as few as 11. There's one flight attendant and each one has been extremely friendly. The first flight I ever took, there were 3 big dogs on the flight and you were never know it, as they are able to sit in the seat well beneath the extra seat the owner buys for them. I cannot wait to bring my 52 lb dog on a flight one day. This is unheard of on the other airlines...only the little dogs in carriers get to ride on flights. Meh. Yay JSX for realizing that big dogs CAN be good passengers! Anyway, I will choose JSX every time I'm able...no question.

    Our flight was completely canceled on our route back from Vegas to Oakland. Not surprised since the experience was a loss from the get go. Joke of a company.

    Just flew Las Vegas to Oakland for the first time on this airline. Very positive experience overall. 1. The app is easy to use. Download, sign up and you're ready to go. 2. The terminal experience is so much better. You don't have the crush of cars dropping off and picking up at the curb. 3. The gate is easy. All the things other Yelpers say about security and checking in are true. Very simple. I enjoyed the free coffee machine, and the lounge was comfortable. 4. The aircraft is relatively new and space. I am 6'2" and had plenty of legroom. 5. The flight attendant was very pleasant, and it's nice to have a complementary cocktail. 6. The flight was slightly early. I will definitely fly JSX again.

    They have a lot. It's valet only and costs $40 per day.

    Do I need to reserve in advance with CurbStand to do valet parking? The website states there is limited space and just don't to get caught without transportation. Thanks!

    I flew in Jan 2022 and did not have to reserve parking in advance.

    They don't check your luggage, no TSA.

    I usually travel between OAK & BUR, price is comparable to Southwest - but JSX has complimentary alcoholic beverages and upgraded snacks (free 2 checked in luggage too).

    No there is not. Uber, Lyft and Taxis are available

    How can I get from the FBO where JSX deplanes to the Rental Car Agency at the main Oakland airport? It looks like about a mile, can I walk it? Is there Uber?

    Uber or Lyft, that area isn't the greatest to walk around (especially with luggage). No shuttles either

    It would be a bit of a walk from the AirBART station the JSX terminal is right next to the Hilton Oakland Airport, 9351 Earhart Rd Oakland, CA 94621. Other than the OAK station, Coliseum might be the closest station and it's a about 8-10 min drive

    How do you get from the Rental Car Center (where National Rental Car is) to the terminal? Is there a shuttle?

    From the JSX terminal you can take Uber or Lyft to the Rental Car Center. Or, you can make a reservation with Go Rentals and they will have a car waiting for you at the JSX terminal. See: https://www.jsx.com/destinations/OAK

    How long can I leave my car park in the lot? I'll traveling for 2 weeks until I return.

    U can park it there as long as u want...as long as u pay for the parking fee of the two weeks u gonna b leaving the car there for when u pick up the car upon ur return....lol....

    How safe is that freebie parking lot? Let me rephrase, I see there is no fence around it- will my car still be there and not broken into if left for a few days?

    Parking is no longer free. There is now a valet service through CurbStand that cost $32 per day.

For the price and experience I'll take this anytime!!! I'm definitely coming back again. If you have ANY other option, avoid Spirit Airlines like the plague!

Boarding was also smooth with the numbered zones and assigned seating. The Oakland gate areas are super small thought with a limited amount of seating. I'd imagine on a busy travel day, working your way to your gate could be an issue. It's probably the least appealing gate area of any Southwest terminal I've been in. Luckily, I wasn't there long.

Out of SJC, SFO, and OAK, Delta has the smallest presence in Oakland. Currently, Oakland only operates to Salt Lake City on a regular basis, with seasonal flights to Atlanta during the summer. Delta used to fly to Los Angeles from Oakland, but they recently axed that service. I used to fly the Oakland-Los Angeles route all the time with Delta - so I'm pretty sad that they discontinued this route. However, from past experiences, Delta has resumed the LAX route from Oakland on various occasions... so yes, I am hopeful they'll resume this route one day. As a Delta medallion member, it's fairly easy to get upgraded from Oakland airport. Fewer elite members fly from Oakland. Understandably though, as there the routings are limited. Regardless of this, service has continued to be friendly and quick. If I ever need to be routed via SLC, I'll be sure to fly with Delta.

The airline is considered the Southwest Airlines of Mexico. The fare was very reasonable and we paid $23.99 for carryon luggage up to 44lbs. and $19 for the Premium seats or exit rows. The $19 for the Premium seats are very reasonable compared to what other airlines charge. Since we checked-in for our flight 24 hours prior to departure and we did not have a check-in bag, they will check your passport at the gate about half an hour before boarding. The upgrade for the Premium seats was well worth it, not only for the extra leg room, but you get Group 1 boarding so you don't have to worry about overhead space for your bag. The planes were new and clean. There is no in-plane entertainment or USB ports. You can buy snacks and beverages. In flight crew were courteous and helpful. We had similar experiences on both flights. No complaints. On our next visit to Mexico, we will fly Volaris again.

Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again.

After the bumpy flight I go to baggage claim at turnstile # 4 at oak airport and I see my bag slide down hard case shattered and 2 wheels are broken off and a mysterious liquid all over it. Someone threw it on the belt and hid the broken pieces and missing wheels and sprayed something on it before putting it on the line. One other thing is I packed a souvenir glass I purchased while in hanalei, as I opened my suitcase to inspect, the irreplaceable souvenir unless I went back to Kauai is shattered in the middle of all my clothes ruining all my clothes leaving shattered bits of glass everywhere and now I'm worried about my dog and family stepping on broken bits of glass. Sharon was very prompt in responding to any questions I had. They sent the drivers info and contact number the day prior to our event which made it easy to follow up with any last minute changes. There was a snag on the day due to a freeway closure after an unrelated accident but I was able to work with the driver directly to minimize the issue as much as possible. I highly recommend using their services for any transportation needs.
