Rebuilding the stairs and railings was also part of the project. We chose 4" red oak for main rooms and hickory in the bedrooms. The stairs and railing were rebuilt with oak. His price was competitive, but his knowledge and concern with details is why we chose to work with him. His crew left the work area clean every day. Their dustless strategy kept a significant amount of dust out of the house. This project took weeks to execute, there was a lot of wood to install and finish. As the stairs approached completion the talent and experience shown through. Highly recommend him.

It started with an estimate from Ryan Strelcheck I can only describe as incredibly detailed and easy to understand. I was kept informed of my place on their schedule and when the painting started they were here EVERY day (3) until completed. The same painters, Tony, Martin and Max were here start to finish starting promptly at 7AM and as quiet as a church mouse. During the day there was no loud music blaring and at the end of the day there was NO mess left behind. The workmanship was great as was the communication for the questions I had during the job. I am a retired tradesman and I know pride in workmanship when I see it and these guys have it. The final point is the price was very fair and competitive. RAY J

We are very happy with the Epic Floors -- the total experience, start to finish. Epic walked us…read morethrough the entire selection/planning process. Janis and owner Tom answered all our questions, kept us apprised of product delivery and installation dates. Every home has its own idiosyncrasies, imperfections that force installers to improvise solutions few homeowners can come up with on their own. Epic's installers killed it. Owner Tom stopped by 3x to see how things were going, to answer questions and see if we or his team needed anything. Everything went super smoothly. We especially appreciate installer Louie's advice. I thought I wanted transition pieces where the wood floor met tile. Louie scowled his disapproval and suggested another idea with better aesthetics: With expert workmanship, he and his partner created a clean line between the two surfaces (no transition piece). Beautiful! My idea: circa 1980. Louie's solution: Timeless, classic, elegant. Louie could have stuck with the plan. He gave us something way better. Before starting this project, I thought: I'd really like to patronize a small local business -- even if that meant paying more. Surprisingly, Epic's price came in lower than the big box. We are thrilled with the results and will return to Epic for our next floor project.

I found MQ Painting on Angie's List - I'm so glad I did…read more This was the best experience - my house was badly in need of paint and rotten wood repair. Their estimate was fair and i just got a good vibe from Jose Quintanilla who I dealt with primarily. My instincts were spot on. They did the job as professional as you could hope for, not one splash of paint out of place. THe wood problem was worse than we thought once the wood was taken out (it was and I was told by my regular handyman this was probably the case that we'd find more issues as we removed wood); They dealt with this as no problem and the up charge on the additional work was more than fair as well. Terrific people, good communicators (we had a lot of rain delays, and Jose was on top of keeping me abreast of what they planned to do and when, I wasn't left to wonder when are they coming back...) and overall nice people to have around working on your house.

Also painted chimney at no extra charge, On top of all this they completed the job in 2 days.
