The store is packed with decorative tins you can select to contain your popcorn if you are giving it as a gift. Also there was a bunch of unusual candies on offer, as well as fudge. But I was here for the popcorn. The selection is huge! Sweet, savory, spicy, tangy, it's all represented here. Service was super relaxed and friendly. They were patient with me while I perused the extensive menu. If you aren't getting a tin for the popcorn, they sell it in bags. There are a bunch of different size bags, and I liked that there are smaller (but still generous) sized bags that enable you to try a variety of different flavors. I went with white cheddar, Chicago mix (caramel and cheese), spicy pickle, Jalapeno ranch, peanut butter chocolate, and Oreo. All were so delicious! Every kernel was packed with flavor. The popcorn itself was fresh and with zero unpopped kernels. The seasonings were all just right, not too much or too little, and evenly adhered to the popcorn. So addictive! The service was super nice, and the prices not too bad. I think they deliver too. I grabbed a menu because I will definitely be back! Such a great place to have here in Salem. Great for treating yourself or picking up a gift.

I bought a bag and also some very grainy and lovely colored polenta. I took my goodies home and anxiously made some popcorn. I stopped using canola oil because I learned it is not meant for high heat cooking. I only had olive oil and used it instead. I had no idea what was wrong w/ my popcorn until after a few failed attempts to make it and failed. I had used up almost all my kernels. I emailed LWF and was told olive oil doesn't get hot enough and so the oil wouldn't work w/ the popcorn. I visited the Eugene Farmers Market again this past Jan. and decided to get some more polenta and popcorn. The owner was so kind to remember my email and problem...she gave me a free bag of popcorn and suggested I try coconut oil. My popcorn pops perfectly and the taste is amazing. beautiful white puffs of corn w/ a lovely black shell. The polenta is very nice too. I found I have to use less water than the recipe calls for but it cooks very nicely! BIG FAN OF LONESOME WHISTLE!

I was warmly welcomed by a nice young woman asking if I have ever been in before? Probably because she noticed the look on my face as if I were a kid in a candy shop! Well pretty darn close, the scent alone was divine and then she offered samples to help make my decision easier, with so many flavors of freshly made flavored popcorn to choose from. They have a few seasonal flavors which I had to grab along with some classics. A few drizzled in deliciousness or dusted with cheese. They have savory and sweet, salty and sour. Like for instance the pickles and popcorn flavor or rosemary parm. They even have a caramel cheese. I grabbed a seasonal peppermint and Santa's mix. If you buy more than 5 bag then they are $10 a bag. Of course it's the holiday season and I figured why not grab a few extra bags while I'm here to add to a gift. Put this place on your list to visit if you find yourself in Newberg.

While taffy is not our "go to" sweet, these Taffies were very nice and clearly made with quality ingredients. The Chocolates were of a very high quality. We especially liked the orange and raspberry bars. We also enjoyed their upscale interpretation of a Yok Peppermint Patty. The care and love for the Craft was evident in the quality and refinement of the Chocolates we purchased. It's good to support small family operations. It is very easy when the product is this good! We'll be back next trip!

My grandparents lived at Yachats Over 25 years while I was…read moregrowing up and grandma would come in to Portland and pick a couple of her grandchildren up and bring them down to spend a couple of weeks with them during the summer. We always stopped at a candy company that had the old style antique candy machines that they were still using and you could watch the man working at the machine that actually cut and wrapped the saltwater taffy. Well, I recently went back in because I was trying to find that shop and lo and behold. There was the machine and the young lady behind the counter said that her family had owned it since the business had been started further north of 101 and at her parents now we're running it, but she would eventually take over from them, and I just picked up an assortment a handful of this handful of that because I have relatives that live in the Midwest and all they can get is the run-of-the-mill factory produced saltwater taffy that really has no flavor and is horrible and about two hours after the box arrived and I've always opened it. I got a call saying oh my Lord this is the best saltwater taffy we've ever had.

I'm not a taffy guy so I didnt get any, but if you're into taffy then this is a sweet spot for you too. They have three sections, each with rows upon rows of buckets of different flavors of taffy. Also, they have a unique thing called "sweet corn soda." I didnt try it, because I am not really a soda drinker to be honest, but I want to try it at some point when I come back, at least to say I tried it. Anyway, they have all kinds of great things, you can see from my pics that my wife got me a truffle, which went great with my coffee from the snack place next door.

The employees have been working their for years, were able to tell us all about the chocolates and we loved that if a chocolate didn't do well after 2 weeks then they didn't make it again. Everything that was out was their best sellers. The fudge we got were the milk chocolate (yum), orange creamsicle (really strong in flavor), coconut (delicious but also strong in coconut), maple pecan (best one to me, so so good). Their version of almond roca was phenomenal! Lots of taffy flavors and so much to look at it in the shop.
