The employees have been working their for years, were able to tell us all about the chocolates and we loved that if a chocolate didn't do well after 2 weeks then they didn't make it again. Everything that was out was their best sellers. The fudge we got were the milk chocolate (yum), orange creamsicle (really strong in flavor), coconut (delicious but also strong in coconut), maple pecan (best one to me, so so good). Their version of almond roca was phenomenal! Lots of taffy flavors and so much to look at it in the shop.

I got a good variety of flavors to try, along with two truffles. I felt like some of the taffy flavors were not as pronounced as others, but were still really good.. not hard or brittle either. The red velvet and birthday cake truffles were soft on the inside and tasted good, however, I would have preferred a much more rich flavor in both truffles. The older lady at the counter was very nice and friendly. She encouraged me to grab a birthday flavored taffy on my way out as a gift, which I thought was very kind of her. Considering the busier location, I felt the prices were reasonable. If you aren't a taffy fan, then perhaps the assorted chocolates and other offerings might be up your alley. Worth a stop inside!

We had already had an excellent salted caramel scoop from their place in Florence. So we stopped by…read moretheir Newport location and found that it was a totally different experience. When we walked in the man behind the counter told us that one of the two coolers was not available and we had to choose ice cream from the remaining cooler. And unfortunately, their salted caramel tub was empty. We both chose a scoop of butter brickle. While the ice cream was rich, there weren't many crunchy bits. We also decided to buy some salt water taffy. From the picture, you'll see that many of the slots were empty, and there were only 11 flavors to choose from. It seemed like this location wasn't keeping their inventory in stock. As a result, we won't be returning.

My Petite Sweet, opens at 8 am so you don't have to wake up at the crack- of -dawn afraid of them selling out of items you want vs. sleeping in on your vacation. They close at 3pm so you have time on the way home from whatever day's activities you were doing, to pick up some dessert for an after dinner treat. My Petite Sweet is a great stop for quick, sweet or savory ready-to-eat breakfast items. The employees will ask you if you want your items warmed up and are more than happy to do that for you. There are several tables and chairs available if you wish to enjoy your items on-site... ...but THIS is where My Petite Sweet SHINES ABSOLUTELY ABOVE-THE-REST: Upon entering, you will be greeted by a HUMONGOUS refrigerated case that is remeniscent to me of the magic and excitement I felt as a child imagining finding the "Golden Ticket" and touring "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! " My Petite Sweet has an ENDLESS array of YUMMY confectionery so tempting you just want to tell the employee, "I'll take one of everything," because it's so hard to choose. Most of My Petite Sweet's items are little masterpieces so beautifully decorated you hate to ruin them by biting into them! Once you do, however, you experience the taste of something so INCREDIBLY SCRUMPTIOUS you will ALWAYS make this your first stop when you arrive in Lincoln City, or perhaps even making My Petit Sweet your reason for traveling to LC in the first place! On each trip I discover a new favorite (or two, or three! ) My Petite Sweet's portions are huge, the prices are reasonable, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Also, don't be afraid to stock up on your trip. The employees pack the items individually, and they stay very fresh in the fridge. ENJOY!

Service was great, and everything looked beautiful in the display case…read more The "cinnamon roll" was the biggest letdown. It was essentially a dense loaf of bread with a ton of frosting on top. There were no soft layers to pull apart, no spiral of cinnamon filling, and almost no cinnamon except for a thin strip at the bottom. The texture was dry, heavy, and crumbly, more like stale sweet bread than a fresh pastry. The lemon bar lacked the bright, tangy citrus flavor you'd expect, and while the chocolate croissant and churro croissant were visually appealing, they were mostly one-note and lacked richness or complexity. Overall, everything looked incredible, but the execution didn't match the presentation.
