I arrived with two flat tires at lunchtime. The employee made me wait while he finished his lunch. After 20 minutes, he didn't acknowledge me or anything, so I left. I wouldn't recommend his business. Their customer service and attitude are unacceptable. I can only imagine the liability that would happen if I had him repair my tires. My son went to JR'S Tires Shop when the warning light regarding tire pressure lit up. Martine took a look at ONE tire and said you need FOUR new tires, which was declined. He then offered to put air in the tires, which he did. Martine followed that by backing up his sales pitch, saying, "I guarantee you're going to have a blowout before you get wherever you're going." My son then went to a different tire shop in Ridgecrest that his uncle recommended. The gentleman there said "Why did you put so much air in your tires? They're only supposed to be 35psi and they're 50psi, if you got on the highway like that you'd have a blowout!" Not only is JR'S Tires dishonest, it's criminal. A blowout on the highway could've killed or severely injured my son and other innocent people. I've read good reviews on JR'S Tires and they all appear to be from local customers. There's really poor reviews on Google from people passing through Ridgecrest. read more

On a 3 day road trip from San Diego we came across the "ghost" town of Ballarat where we ended up with a flat tire. The nearest town to get it fixed was Ridgecrest. Jr's Tire Shop was referred to us to get our flat taken care of. We arrived at 415 on a Saturday and with two people ahead of us, they stayed open late and took care of us. Unfortunately, the tire couldn't be saved so we had to get a new one which they had in stock. Thanks so much for being pleasant and staying open late to help us out! read more

Called ahead and asked if they could patch my tire. The man said he could so I drove over and went inside. I was the only customer there, walked in and the worker was eating a burrito under the front desk. Now I don't care if you're having your breakfast while it's slow, more power to you. But when a customer comes in, stop eating under the desk and be at least somewhat professional. Don't continue eating under the desk while talking with food in your mouth. Then instead of coming out to see what I need done he had me go check and bring take a photo of it because he didn't want to stop eating. Then once I do he told me he'd "be right out" I stand outside at my car for 10 minutes, go back inside and he was still just eating behind the desk. He finally came out after I went back in to get him. I show him the tire and explain I want a patch. He has me pull up, and takes my tire out of my trunk. Then I ask if I can leave my vehicle there while he patched it and he tells me changing the tire will take less than 5 minutes. I explain again that I want a patch, not a new tire. He then tried telling me I can't get a patch on this tire that the damage was too extensive and I need a whole new tire for $90. So I asked him again if he could just patch it and he denied. So I asked him nicely to just put my tire back. He then argues with me telling me that "no one in town will patch this tire" and asking me where I'm going to go instead. He was extremely rude about the fact I didn't just take his word and chose to go elsewhere. It's sad to see that some mechanics still try and take advantage of girls when they need car work done. I went to Motion and they patched my tire without any issue for $10. read more

We got a flat tire (nail and worn treads) on our Tesla Model X on Hwy 14 on our way back to LA. Our tow truck took us to Jr's Tire Shop at midnight. I met Martin as he arrived the next morning and he took great care of us, even as an emergency drop in. Martin did an outstanding job removing our completely flat tire and mounting a new one in less than 30 minutes! We were back on the road in no time and back home by the afternoon. Thank you Martin! Beware of this business. First off no invoice to work on my car. Bar violation, I asked for my tires to be balanced as I drove from out of town and had a bad shimmy. I called and asked how long and if they had time that day. The guy one phone said yes come down we will have you done shortly. When I got there I was ignored in the "waiting room" for over 20 minutes before the joke "Jr" came in after seeing me sit in the room fro 20 minutes. Was asked what I wanted and NO invoice was made. Cash only? Hmmmm. They finally had the time to do my car and asked again what I was needing..When the young man took off my tires there was no issue with lug nuts (this comes back in play) and was then told my tire was coming apart and had a flat spot on it and needed replacement. I asked what the cost was, off top of head "Jr." ssaid 95 each, no word on if included mounting and balancing, nothing. I asked if they had two and he said he didn't want to "break up the set"...hmm when is it not the customers request? Here at Jr's thats where. I told them to put tires back on and I would see if I will do it later. Later that day I choose to use the spare tire instead of the tire in question, when I TRIED to remove the tire (as it was installed hard with impact gun) I couldn't budge, as a former body builder I couldn't break loose. Again huge question marks. I called Jr ant 5:15 that day, web sight says open till 6:00. I told Jr about what happened and he laughed. He laughed at my issue with his work. The lug nuts were cross threaded and cost ME $125 to fix. My cost for his laughing joke. Jr is a crook and and doesn't have a clue what customer service is. Beware of this joke of a place! read more

0 stars DO NOT GO THERE. This is the worst place to get work done on your car. We came in to get our tires mounted and balanced and they ended up breaking a stud. Then they started blaming us and saying it was our fault, so we asked them to replace it. We go and buy a new stud and lug nut and then they make us wait an hour, but there was no one at the shop. The guy starts to replace it and then he doesn't know how to get the brakes off. So we ended up doing all the work. I'm sorry but I mean what kind of shit is that? You go and take your car to get fixed and then you end up having to fix it yourself. I will never go there ever again. read more

It's kind of a fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me situation. First experience was 4 new tires our sienna. Apparently great price comes with great risk. New tires were actually 4 years old but never installed. One out of the 3 tries ended up being the wrong size so he did replace it free of charge even after going about 400 miles on it. Got the tires rotated and found out another one was out of round. Got fed up with those and bought a new set from a more reputable tire shop. 20,000mi on the new tires and no issues. Seriously the $175 dollar savings was not worth it... Then, to put the last nail in that coffin I had asked them to install a good used tire on my pickup. I went in for an alignment adjustment at another shop yesterday and found out that the "good" used tire was 17 years old! Who in their right mind would sell a 17 year old tire to a customer. Luckily that tire lasted the 6 months i drove on it. In their defense the tire did look nice on the outside... The guys at this shop are nice and they do have great price but with tires I'd rather not become a victim of the high cost of low price! Enough with the rant, now say you ordered tires on amazon, tire rack, or etc. their labor charges for mounting and balancing are dirt cheap so there is that... The one star is primarily driven by the 17 year old tire issue. Otherwise I would settle at 3 stars max. read more
