I had a transmission issue with my 2005 Chevy Silverado diesel truck. It would not shift gears. Warren's Automotive found & repaired the issue and it's been working great since (over a year). This repair cost $150. which I found reasonable for a transmission issue. I've have used Warren's before (repairing trailer bearings) and had good results. I can now recommend this shop. read more

WOW! Looks like the demon at the counter has been giving everyone the I don't give a 2 fucks to alot of potential clients for quite some time now. Went in late last year, which was 2022, for a smog check and the demon at the counter didn't even want to acknowledge me even though I was the only person there at the counter. I finally said hello to make myself known and received an angry, sarcastic, and somewhat condescending tone reverb back at me. Called to get my battery replaced on my car that was still under warranty. At first when I called to report the issue the lady that answered the phone was okay. Based on the quality of service I received today, I had to write a review. The lady at the front counter was not friendly at all. She was rude, short, and unpleasant. Definitely someone that should not work at the front counter, she should be in the back because her attitude was not the best. Even her level of questioning was insulting to me. I thought maybe she was having a bad morning but even so that does not excuse bad behavior, especially when you're working at the front counter. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this repair shop at all, unless you just want to waste your time and hard earn money. Shop is overcrowded with cars needing repairs. The level of customer service was poor. Lady rolled her eyes, questioned my integrity, was downright rude and condescending. I'm all for promoting good businesses and recommending businesses to family, friends, and others based on the level of service received. I can't do that in this case. I am not benefitting from this just sharing my experience and hoping your experience will be better. I've been to two different repair shops during my brief time here in Ridgecrest and I must say the quality of service received at Dennis George surpasses the quality of service received here at Warren Automotive. Even if I had to spend money I would have been okay with that if the customer service was good but this wasn't the case, at least not for me. I have worked in customer service for over 35 years and know the value of treating your customers with respect, dignity. Being warm, inviting, friendly and fair is up most important. Making sure you address concerns in a nice, friendly and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction should be the ultimate goal. This is what brings people back to your business. Lucky for them folks don't have many options here but I do, so next time I will go out of town or go to Dennis George. I would have gone there if it wasn't for the fact they were backed up for two weeks and at the time I had no other options but to go to Warren Automotive. Next time, I will wait two weeks because some things are truly worth the wait!! read more

Great mechanics do the job right the first time. Price is reasonable and they warranty thier work. They replace the must items when work is done like: plug boots when replacing spark plugs, disks when doing brake jobs. Also they can do complete flush of automatic transmissions. A must every 50k to 60k miles to make your transmission last. Can be hard to get through on phone I suggest walk in to set up work to be done. Easy drop off and loaner cars available. read more

i called Warren's about a brake repair quote, because i didn't want to drive there with bad brake pads to find out the price. When I got a call back, instead of requesting I bring the truck by so they could look at it I was told over the phone (in passionate tone I might add) that i have cheap chinese metal on my wheels and even though i tried to keep a friendly tone to offer to bring it by to be looked at i was told that they refused to think about just new brakepads. read more

I do not recommend Warren's automotive to diagnose or correct your emissions problems properly or effectively. Their technicians are not skilled enough to properly or effectively correct emissions problems. I would only recommend warrens automotive for simple tasks, such as starter replacement, shocks and brake pads. I would not trust them to do a whole engine swap, or even change a clutch and a manual transmission. Good rates though. read more

Called to ask for my vehicle's AC to be repaired, they set me up with an appointment the following week. Everyone was so very nice to me. One of their reps (David) called me the day before for confirmation and when I got there the following day, he helped me right away. A few hours later, I called to see how everything was going for the diagnostics, and he told me that he would call me back. 15-20 mins later, David called me back like he said he would and told me all the details. Went back in to pick up my car, and went over everything again with Tina. Thank you. I have another appointment coming up and I am happy to say that I am very satisfied so far with everything they have done and provided for me. I am pretty bad with names, so the young lady who dropped me off, thank you. Again, thank you All again for the super easy and great service for my car. Hate writing bad reviews, but, here we go! Been taking my car here for oil changes and check-ups for a while now, for more than a year, I have been satisfied until now. Recently, my AC clutch stopped working, so, it was blowing warm air. They recommended that that the AC compressor be replaced and recharge if necessary. I let them, and in the end it cost around $1,500, as the mode actuator had gone bad too and I asked them if they could replace that as well. 3 weeks later, I am driving along, and the fender cover (on the side that the compressor is on, of course ) comes loose and snaps off onto the street. They tell me to take it back, as I am concerned. Rusty shows me what happened and basically blames it on the "weather" and "plastic" parts. Really suspicious that it's on the same side as the compressor. They charged me $70 to put the broken fender cover back on and for the "clips" to secure it. I took pictures of the driver side and passenger side before and after. The driver side looks a bit different now, looks like a clip or something is missing, you can see a hole or gap where something used to be. Bumper is not loose but is clearly not fully flush on drivers side, hard to tell with pictures. Rusty pushed it with his fist in and that was it, but it's back to not being flush again. With the type of money I spent, I expect better than this. I am not very car savvy, but not stupid, and feel cheated for paying for labor and parts for something that should had been done right when replacing the compressor. I would had liked that it got fixed correctly, not get charged to put a shredded part back on. I should not have to pay for an error that was made by the shop. Really hope it does not fall off again. read more

What a great group of people. I took my car in for some random noise i kept hearing. David always greeted me by name, explained the process and what they found in a straight forward manner. Rusty went for a drive with me when they had a hard duplicating the noise. They were very thorough in there diagnostic process, observing a couple of things a local competitor missed - which they fixed at a reasonable price. the competitor did not complete the simple fix, but charged me money. We were towed to Rusty's after our car's engine died on the way to our vacation. Rusty and his awesome staff inspected our car before we discovered the bad news but offered to let us keep our car in his lot for the weekend while we rented a car. He even offered to drive us to the rental lot if necessary. While in the waiting process in the air conditioned office, Krista gave us water and Rusty told us stories about his museum like decor. If I could give High Sierra Automotive ten stars, I would. I was driving my Saab from Bishop to Los Angeles. It broke down about 30 miles north of Ridgecrest and the AAA fellow towed it to Rusty at High Sierra. This was a Friday afternoon and I had to be at a memorial service in LA the following day, and back in San Francisco on Monday. To say I was shaken and scared would be an understatement. Rusty called car rental agencies until he found a rental for me, and Tina, his wife, drove me out to pick up the car. They treated me like gold, as did everyone else who works there. They had to order parts and, when there was a problem getting one before Tuesday, Rusty made extraordinary efforts to secure the part and get it delivered. My car was ready by noon on Monday. When I arrived to pick it up, Tina ferried me back from the rental agency. The prices were reasonable, and I know that there were a couple of items Rusty could have charged me for (and which I would have been glad to pay), but waived those charges. These folks are the real deal. If you want an honest, competent auto repair facility in or around Ridgecrest run by friendly, caring people, this is your choice. My Yukon XL broke down on the 14 highway. I was towed to Warren's automotive to have it fixed. It was 5 PM when we arrived on a Thursday late afternoon. Warren,'s automotive closes at 5 PM. Warren himself and three of his team members worked on my car for 2 1/2 hours. They diagnosed a wire/heating problem that had been causing me issues for two years. They fixed the issue and sent me on my way. I've been driving that car for the last eight months with no problems. I can't speak highly enough about their service, their professionalism, and their attention to details for my issue. I gave them an extra $60 for pizza and lunch the next day. If I lived closer to them they would definitely be the location I take all my cars. My brother and I went on our way and continued to the White Mountains about Bishop for a four-wheel-drive camping trip. How do I give a zero? Because literally, I haven't even taken my car here and I'm pissed and really disappointed in the customer service I received just to call for an inquiry. I just moved here from Arizona to be with my family and they highly recommended this place, and also a lot of my co-workers spoke so highly of Rusty Warren's. I haven't had a ton of car issues in my past, but I recently had the ball joints on my 2006 Honda CRV go out and I need them replaced. Eeeeeveryone said oh go to rusty warrens, he's the best in town and he's honest and so great! Well, when I bought the vehicle, the seller warned me that one of the ball joints were going to go out soon so he actually sold me the part for it along with the car. So, I call today, just out of curiosity because I don't know much about ball joints and I wanted to be prepared to know how much i'm going to be spending. My car is not drivable so I wanted to know if they could help me before towing it there. I called today, which was a friday, flex friday to be exact so I already knew they would probably be busy but I still needed to try to get some sort of information before the weekend. Tina answered the phone, and as I was explaining the issue and that I already had the part she interrupted me rudely and aggressively said "I DONT ALLOW PEOPLE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN PARTS. I understand that without seeing the condition of the car that I can't get an exact quote and that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for a general average ball joint replacement cost range so I know what to prepare myself for. I won't be using your shop for my repair now because of how I felt during this basically one sided conversation. Tina did not want to help me at all. Warren's is awesome! I was in Ridgecrest for a business trip when the ignition key in the 08 Impala my coworker and I were driving failed to turn. To make things worse, we were driving a state vehicle and had an extra set of hoops and hurdles to get our car repaired. We took the car in on a Tuesday and they initially said they wouldn't be able to examine it until Thursday, but made an exception for us and said they'd take a look at it next morning (we had to leave by Friday). All the staff at Warren's were exceptionally friendly; even though dealing with authorization was a P.I.T.A. they stuck with us and we're extremely patient. We were lucky to get the car back on Thursday. I am pleasantly pleased at the wonderful service Rusty and his team provide. I was heading home from the Thanksgiving holiday and ended up being towed to High Sierra with a car problem. Rusty diligently looked for what was needed to repair my vehicle. My car was stored at his facility for several days as he looked for an engine, yep an engine. I then got a call saying the dealer would repair my car. I went to settle up for his time and storage and he waived it off and said he was pleased the manufacturer was going to warranty the problem. While driving down the highway my check engine light came on near Ridgecrest California. I called Warren's automotive and they stayed open past 5 o'clock until I could drive there.. they ran a diagnostic and determined it wasn't a major issue at this point.. and gave me an educated answer that I would be able to make it to my destination safely... to top it off they let me bring my dogs inside while I waited. I just moved to California with my old, out-of-state 1994 Jeep Wrangler, which (as I kind of expected might happen) failed the evap part of the CA emissions test. The crew at Warren's found the leaks and repaired them! They've got a very nice waiting area with chairs, tables, a couch, and coffee. I live about 2 hours away. They let me borrow a loaner car for the day when I came back for the diagnostic and repair so I could wander around town while they worked on the Jeep. read more

Lets start off by saying i commute back and forth between my two homes, one in Ridgecrest and the other 160 miles south. On my way up to Ridgecrest I noticed my temp gauge flucuating and realized my car had a coolant leak. This was the week before christmas. I got my car in to get a diagnostic and Rusty ordered the parts. I was concerned about not getting home to celebrate christmas. The part were in on xmass eve and they fixed my car in about 4 hrs on xmass eve and I was able to make it home for Christmas! THANKS.
