While traveling in my fifth wheel from Mammoth to Arizona I had a blowout on one tire and a puncture (flat) on another. I was able to limp the trailer to A&L Tire. The guys were so incredibly attentive. Not one but 3 or 4 guys jumped on the problem. They not only replaced the blown tire but sold and installed a needed, better, inexpensive, used spare tire. They swapped rims from spare to match driving wheels, replaced a bad lug nut. They did everything but get me dinner! And they did it all so QUICKLY with smiles. This time I go in for coolant exchange and waited over 2 hours for a job that normally takes much less time I even had an appointment. the final price was $367.60 including high labor cost and a questionable coolant exchange kit fee. all this on a simple 2010 toyota yaris. the experience felt overpriced. remember always ask how much the job will cost first which I failed to do. lesson to be learned. bye forever will never return. read more

I had them do a four wheel alignment. My car pulls to the right, the steering wheel has issues returning to center after hard right turns, and the car feels jittery on the highway. They never gave me an alignment spec sheet, but it certainly feels like my alignment is not centered properly. read more

These guys are lifesavers! On a trip back from Mammoth, my Toyota blew a tire out in middle of nowhere. (And the tire was less than 1 yr old! What the heck!) Since they don't put spare tires in new cars anymore, I was totally stranded on a Sunday night where all tire shops were closed! I called like 5 places and no one could or would help. I had my kids, my dog and my wife. We were freezing and exhausted! We were starting to look for motels to stay in. Thank god the tow truck guy, Hunter, told me about A and L. I called and they answered right away. Justin was very receptive and honest on the phone. He didn't have the tire in stock, but was able to get me a really good used tire. (What else can you do on a Sunday night?). His team drove the tire 60+ miles to my car and installed it. And we were back on the road and back home. The whole thing cost $1100. Sounds expensive? But where else can you get someone to drive a tire to you 60+ miles away and install it for you on a Sunday night? Sounds like a bargain to me! I needed a brake rotor replaced, and a tire switched from one wheel to another. I got there in the afternoon. They didn't have the rotor in stock, so I told them I had already ordered one from O'Reilly Auto (1.3 miles away), and it should be in by that afternoon or early the next morning. They got me in right away the next morning, they said they'd go get the rotor from O'Reilly, and they were done with all the work by mid-late morning. I SUPER appreciate them getting to me so quick. I'm glad they're there. If I knew they were going to mark the rotor price up almost 60% from $105 to $166, I would've just made the 5 minute drive to pick it up myself. They should have let me know they were going to mark it up like that before they went to get it. Also, for the cumulative 30 minutes of work they did (I was there the whole time) over the couple of hours after they started on it, $240 is pretty steep. It is in a somewhat remote area, and places like that usually charge higher because they got ya in a no-choice situation .... but $480/hour!? Ooph. That kinda hurt. Summary: I'm glad they're there and took care of me pretty quick, it seems like they did good work on a pretty simple job, nice guys and they're pricey. read more

Don't like to read or are impatient? I'll make it simple right off the bat. Go somewhere else. My Wife came here (I am disabled) (01-16-23) because we needed a rear tire. Naturally they say we need 2 and we listen. They replaced them ($368.58) and explain that we have a warranty for 60,000 miles. Just to let you know we are on a fixed income as I am legally disabled and my Wife stays at home to take care my myself and our Son. On 01-22-23 we needed to go down the hill for my Sons birthday he just turned 5 years old. We got to Adelanto when we had a blow out. I immediately pulled to the side of the road on the dangerous 395. We called Triple AAA and were sent to a ghetto tire shop in Adelanto and basically pay $50.00 for a semi bald tire. My Wife was happy that we had a warranty at A & L and we would surely be covered in a situation like this. We arrive the next day at A & L and my Wife speaks to a man who talks to the guy next to him; they asked if we had the old tire with us which we did. So the first man comes to the car with the other guy and they state we ran over something because there is a hole in the tire. Also they stated we drove on the flat tire. We did for about 50-75 feet to get off the highway and be safe. Am I supposed to stay in the middle of the highway? Remember this is the US 395, it is dangerous. They bring my Wife inside and state that the tire is not covered because we ran over something that popped the tire and we drove on a flat tire. He acts sympathetic and immediately tries to sell us another tire and we of course decline. We moved here last March and this is our first experience with bad customer service. We have a Ford F-150 that needs 4 new tires soon, needless to say we are never going back to A & L again. They are not a good representation of a Ma and Pop shop in a rural conservative area. EWent in to get the front tire patched which led to having it replaced. I drive and park away from other cars to avoid any dings, dents or scratches and then when I come here the tech or whoever worked on it scratched my rim in several places while replacing the tire and in mean it's like a raccoon tried to crow bar it off They rushed the job and the damage shows. Would love to see how a Corvette owner would react to the handling of his wheels. Read those service agreements on how they aren't held responsible for accidents. ( I just washed the car I know it wasn't there earlier) Gonna go check if my lugs are tight now. And next time, use the donut and take the drive to Costco or any name brand store. read more

I picked up a screw in the right rear tire of a Lexus RX and Ridgecrest was the first stop I could make for a repair. I dropped into A&L Tire and Service Centre, arriving at 7:10am. They removed the screw, patched the tire from the inside and had me on my way by 7:40am. All for a great price. The entire crew was professional and friendly. 7/12/21 A&L Tire Co Despite the circumstances of being stranded in RidgeCrest, CA after getting a flat tire on the 395 South heading home to Los Angeles... I had a great experience here. This family owned business seems honorable and honest when it comes servicing visitors who are stressed, concerned and worried about how they will be able to get their family home... SAFELY! Even though they did not have my specific Toyota Sienna SE tire in stock, the service tech (Marco?) tired his best to offer options for me. He tired to search inventory for new tires, offer to try and repair (re-plug) the the tire but provide a honest assessment of the tire. Brought me into the shop bay to personally show me the damage and advised he would not be able to repair the 2nd plug due to the position of the damage... just not safe for me and my family. He even offered to try and find a used tire JUST to get me home. We need more honest businesses like this in the LA area. They have fixed my radiator gasket, replaced my rotors and brake pads, aligned the front end of my car, and diagnosed several issues with my car that I was unaware of being that I know absolutely nothing about cars. We found a side wall damage on one tire on our last day visiting Death Valley. The car was still drivable but we were worried it may break on the way home. We stopped by A&L Tire which is close to the national park. Unfortunately there was no new or used tire with the same model# in stock, even after contacting several nearby shops. Phil checked the tire condition and said "I can't let you leave like this". He recommended a used tire with a very similar size for better safety. Been going there for years and they have been good till now. Brought my truck in to be diagnosed for multiple issues. Gave them a list of problems and told me what the diagnostic fee would be for diesel $350. They changed the air filter and called the problem solved within 24 hrs (which was 3 issues all connected but only 2 of like 6 issues). I asked about the other issues and they told me the fee was for only one problem, so if I wanted them to check the other issues it would be a separate diagnostic fee for each issue, which the said nothing about when I dropped the truck off. I said forget it and picked up the truck, I asked what is their warranty/guarantee if the issue is not fixed. They said 2 year or so many miles and if it wasn't fixed then I could bring it back in and they would try again. Within 20 miles I could tell that none of the problems were fixed. I have called 3 times about what they were going to do and each time they couldn't tell me anything but they would call back, they never did. The manager will call, he never did. They only thing they could say was that they would have to charge another diagnostic fee to check it out. So not only did they not fix anything but they can't even stand behind their own warranty. $350 to change an air filter unbelievable. read more
