A friend of mine had invited me for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. At first when my friend mentioned it to me, he stated this was a pop up brunch. Unsure what that meant, I went along with it. But as we walked there with him and his wife, we stopped at a loft in downtown LA. I asked him if he was certain it was at a loft, he said yes its a pop up brunch. Supposedly this is quite common in the east coast, where people set up a temporary eatery. The brunch was on the rooftop of the lofts, quite a view and change from the ground floor. It was nice being away from the hectic crowds and raucous. It has a personal feel to it, there were tables and chairs set up. Nothing too fancy but good enough to enjoy a meal. I ordered the grits with banana fosters and pancake. It was quite good, what a awesome combination, this might have been the first for me trying grits. My friend and his wife ordered a variation of egg Benedict, both also enjoyed it. Overall a great experience, look forward to the next pop up.

I find the syrup rly good, a little nutty chocolatey, but some may find it too strong and bitter, possible burnt taste. I find it good, but bc it's a concentrated flavor I can see others not being a big fan. The sakura mochi is rly good! Very floral flavor and I liked it a lot, but the texture of the mochi was a bit off. I think it's bc I went around 8pm (an hour before they close) so the mochi was probably not as fresh as it could be, but that's on me. The location is shared with a boba tea place (yi fang) so if you wanted ice cream and boba as a late night treat, perfect opportunity!! That's why my sibling and I like to come here for a sweet treat variety and they have some nice seating around. It's also the arts district so it's nice to just walk around the area as well to chat with whoever ur with. I usually get street parking, but allegedly you can park in the the apt structure and get parking validation for 2 hrs (?)

Well...the experience turned out to be a big disappointment. I won't be returning. - The girl who served us, didn't make us feel welcome. She made us feel like we were more of a nuisance or bother rather than a valued customer. - The Matcha and Hokkaido Milk soft serves were mediocre at best. Go to Tea Masters for Matcha soft serve. Their Matcha soft serve is extremely better. The Hokkaido Milk soft serve had an artificial after taste. - Beware, their soft serve is a complete rip off. It's hollow on the inside.

Everything tasted just as good as I remember. As soon as you walk in it has a traditional bbq smell that isn't typical for all of these other bbq joints nowadays. I plan to make my way back to Ray's BBQ soon, I stopped by around noon today and they were almost sold out of their meats basically the same as when I first ate here years ago. I'm sure during meal times will get really busy and you might be out of There is a good amount of parking in this strip mall And it looks very popular with people that know We were unsure of what to order and the worker here was amazing. Walked us through a couple of options and what to get. I also got the lemonade aqua fresca that was really good as The sides were delicious and everything had a good strong kick to it. Nothing subtle with what we got in the best way possible. I would definitely come back in the future! I have been to a lot of the famous barbecue places in Texas and raised barbecue in my opinion is more flavorful and tastier than what I've had in Texas.
