I wish I could say the experience was different with Jason but it wasn't. He said he had availability and would bid for the job. That was October 31. The entire week he said he would get out there, then apologized said he would the next day. Then he said he would get out there this weekend and then finally, no more communication from Jason. Thanks for wasting a full week of my time when I'm desperately trying to get this thing finished ASAP. I could have been trying to find handyman who wouldn't waste my time instead of not knowing how to say they were too busy for the job. I'm very disappointed and would recommend someone else if you need the job done quickly. He's nice but not very responsive to your needs.

While he did get them back up when they were pulling away from the sheetrock, he did not install them at the same level requiring the trimming to be left off since it could be installed over several levels. Glue applied to put the shelves back together visibly is running down the back of a couple units, and the interior shelves were not assembled - a task I was able to complete myself but something I would have expected to be covered in the amount paid. Area was also not cleaned up afterwards, and I was required to supply a ladder and floor coverings - items which I would again assume a handyman would have available. I do wish I had been able to leave a better review, but if someone does work that makes me not want to ever use them again, I think it's only fair to let others know they may also want to be careful using the service.

He is really innovative and could help a fix a number of problems that I could imagine needing multiple repair people to come address. For example, he was able to help with replacing a bathroom vent (which included electrical), closet door system, kitchen drawers, and more. He did have to make a few trips to the hardware store for some repairs (the landlord added a few repairs too as we went), but he always was able to come back that day or reschedule the updates when it worked for both of us. Carlos was very friendly, wore his mask so I felt safe with COVID-19, and we were able to speak in both English and Spanish. He even helped us with a small repair on our own bookshelf. While Ross seemed a genuinely nice person and politely listened and took notes during the walkthrough of the scope of work, we never even got an actual bid from them on the repairs we wanted done. We had Ross out on 11/8 and on 12/3 still didn't even have an ETA on when they'd be able to give us a BID on the work-- not "when will it be finished" or "when can you start" but "when can you tell me how much it will cost to hire you to do the work". They couldn't even tell me when they'd be able to tell me! I had to reach out twice just to find out they didn't have a bid ready and didn't even know when they would. The time I spent away from work walking Ross around the property and discussing the work we needed done was completely wasted, and now I have to start over from scratch in finding another repair service. It's doubly frustrating because I wasn't casually fact-finding or price-shopping, I am ready to hire. I would have taken almost any proactive answer, including "sorry, we're too busy for your project(s)". Just really poor customer service.

Our…read moreplumber, Fabian Ramirez (who is really, really great, btw) suggested these folks for the drywall/insulation repair after he fixed the plumbing issue. They communicated between the two of them and set up times independently (based upon our schedule, of course!) for the plumbing to get done and the drywall etc repair to start. Then like clockwork, the one was finished, the other arrived and took over. I cannot stress enough how gentlemanly and considerate these guys are. They covered all surfaces, moved furniture carefully, and lined the walkway between the front door, where they'd set up outside, and the pathway to our dining room where the repair work needed to take place. I'm working from home these days, and even though some of what they had to do was noisy, it was never obtrusive or distracting. They made sure to tent the area to keep debris, dust and noise to a minimum. In fact, they're taking their time to make sure the area is completely dry and secure before putting any finishing touches on the ceiling. AND they custom mixed paint into the popcorn they have to blow on so that it matches as closely as possible to our existing ceiling paint!!
