I gave him 2 stars because he was very personable and welcoming, he was waiting on his porch outside. However, I'm sooo confused by all of the 5 star ratings. I knew this was in his house because of all off the other reviews. However, the set up looks very different now. He uses fabric chairs. There's a reason dentist's offices use vinyl chairs. You can clean them in between patients. Unless he's getting these chairs steam cleaned occasionally you can't clean them. The chairs also have a faint odd smell. Then he puts on a pair of gloves before starting the procedure and never takes the gloves off. In between the 15 min sessions he checks his phone with the gloves on multiple times his phone charger dropped on the floor (multiple times) and he picks the phone charger up from the floor with the gloves on and comes back to your mouth! I had to ask him to change his gloves. Then there's the uv light. It's not the uv light in the picture it's a uv light that you can buy on Amazon. I saw in his office Dr.dent teeth whitening kit. I'm pretty sure he gets the uv light from that. It's suppose to be for personal use, and for one person only because you put the uv light in your mouth and most of it is plastic. So I was really hopeful that he was just using one per client and tossing it or giving it to the client after, but he reuses this! There is no way you can actually sanitize this, you can clean it but NOT sanitize it. You can't autoclave or boil plastic. Honestly, thinking about how many mouths it was in really makes me kind of want to throw up. I really wonder how he cleans it. Then in terms of the actual teeth whitening, my teeth look the same. He gives you the option to do 4 rounds of 15 mins in office or 3 rounds in office then the gel to do the 4th round at home. However, I was so done and just felt like things weren't sanitary that I was ready to go so I opted to do the 4th round at home. That said, maybe that's why I don't see a difference but I doubt that the gel alone for the 4th round is going to make a huge difference. Oh and the rag- he has this pink and gray rag that he uses to wipe the mouthpiece in between treatments. At first I wasn't sure if it was grey because it was dirty but I think it's actually grey nonetheless how is he cleaning that in between patients and is he using the same rag. Just thinking about all of this makes me really grossed out. Visually the place looks clean, however, in terms of sanitary practices negative 10. read more
