Do not hire him. It's hard to get him to show up. He wanted advance money to do my baseboards. I…read moregave him $200. He came and measured (we were his helper to measure the baseboards btw). This was on a Friday. He was supposed to buy baseboards over the weekend and paint them and then install on Monday. It lightly snowed on Monday and he didn't show up. Then Tuesday came and he didn't show up and wouldn't answer texts either. He said he was gonna show up on Wednesday. When I confirmed again, he said it was too stressful and he wasn't gonna do the job and kept the $200. Bad faith dealing. I wanted to give him a chance despite his bad reviews but he totally messed up and kept the $200. He said that was the price for measuring! Do not hire him and save yourself a lot of anguish. The deck itself turned out way better than we were hoping - it's clearly well-made (I might even say over-built which is comforting given recent snowfall levels) and it is just beautiful. The best part is I quickly realized that MHD can handle just about anything I need. Discovered a big needle buildup on the roof - Steve sent someone over with a ladder and leaf blower within a day. Now we've hired them to do all of the interior painting in our house! I've got a running punch list now of projects for Steve and the team. If you've got a project, big or small, chances are MHD will knock it out of the park for you.

My experience with Mr. Honey Can Do was extremely disappointing. I initially gave him access to my…read morecabin to provide a quote for needed work. I was willing to offer lodging for his employees, but only after receiving a written contract and agreeing on the arrangements. Despite my requests, he did not provide a contract or respond to me. Instead, his employees accessed my cabin for a planned weeklong stay while working on an unrelated job, without an agreed contract or permission to stay. I had to have Placer County Sheriff's deputies come to the cabin to remove them on the first night. The needed work on my cabin was not completed. All I needed was a response and a written contract. Having to involve law enforcement at my own property was upsetting, and this situation could have been avoided with clear communication. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business.
