The place is quite nice and literally down the street from the main downtown strip. Also around the corner for the casino. Main bar as you walk in as well as second bar towards the back area. It's a full bar so whatever you like, it could be made. As we were here for an event, a meet and greet with everyone was perfect for this place. Drinks were rolling and people enjoying getting to know each other. A nice concept to make new friends in the area. Besides wine and cocktails, there's beer as well as food. I didn't get a chance to check the menu but food was supplied at the event. Flatbread were brought out as well as hummus and crudités. Let me say, the selections of flatbread that was served was great. So many different selections and flavors to go around. They were quite nice. The indoor area is an open concept with loads of tables and comfy couches places throughout like seating areas. We also found out that certain nights they offer karaoke. Plus happy hours happens nightly. The crowd for the event was great but being able to check out new places that Palm Springs has to offer was great. I was a bit surprised at the amount of dogs that we saw at the hotel for a second I thought we had stopped at a doozie day care. We are dog lovers and have a pup ourselves but it was a bit odd to see so many dogs in such a nice hotel. I tried the Lychee Star Martini, made with Haku Vodka, Lichi-Li liqueur, jasmine green tea, and passion fruit, served with a little sidecar of rosé champagne because apparently regular champagne just wasn't fabulous enough. I also had the French 75 Regal, made with The Botanist dry gin, fresh lemon, grapefruit oil, and topped with Moët & Chandon champagne. Both were excellent. We clearly believe in easing into dinner gently... so we ordered three starters. The Beef Tartare with BC aioli seasoning, truffle aioli, cured egg yolk, potato chips, and chives was delicious. We also had the Grilled California Artichokes with Bar Cecil aioli, brown butter, and lemon, and the Deviled Eggs with pickled mustard seed. Not a bad bite on the table. For dinner, I went with the Beaton Burger -- prime beef, Gruyère, bacon-onion jam, and aioli on a brioche bun with fresh-cut fries. And because this is Bar Cecil, naturally your burger arrives in its own monogrammed box. Completely unnecessary. Completely adorable. I loved it. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were beautiful, the atmosphere was fun and energetic, and the entire experience felt quintessentially Palm Springs. The selections of cocktails that was coming out was quite impressive. The place is very moody with the dim lighting and dark wallpaper. A nice long bar along one side with hi top tables along the side and back. The cool speakeasy feel. I believe with the construction that's going on, small bites will be offered soon.
