    Chocolate covered strawberry paletta
    Rebecca R.

Joy Pops is the cutest shop! I loved the neon sign when you walk in, the clear display with all the paletta options visible and labeled, and the fun, bright seating. We visited mid afternoon so no coffee, but I got the chocolate covered strawberry paletta which was delicious. You pick the base first, then they dip it in chocolate in front of you and add the toppings as the chocolate dries. You can taste the difference in freshness and the toppings are the perfect little extra crunch. Additionally, they have custom popsicle sticks! As you start eating the paletta the joypop logo appears, how cute is that. Definitely planning my next visit to try some of their other options!

Fun! Lots of ways to customize. Cute inside. $4 and up for the popsicles. In a small strip mall of State street.

The perfect addition to my car.

This food truck called to me yesterday and it called to my 2 year daughter as well. The vibes were perfect and the Oreo popsicle was magical. My Ruby got a strawberry popsicle and it came with a little drip cup, perfect for her little hands. The popsicles were a perfect size. I can't wait to bring my family to the cutest little dessert Truck to try these again. P.S. I had a bite of Ruby's strawberry, against her will (she doesn't share well!)... it was fresh and perfectly sweet.

Fund dessert spot with a great vibe. We liked the berry cheesecake pop and the dole whip was a good size. Fast service.

Wasatch Deli & Catering Food Truck

Not to be confused with their actual brick-and-mortar store, the Wasatch Deli & Catering (WD&C) --…read morewho has been doling out great sandwiches via their small cafe and catering service since 1990 -- made the no-brainer expansion into the food-truck game. What's different from their normal menu? Missing are most of their hot sandwiches, but that's a small sacrifice. They still have the soups, still have the burgers, still have all the great cold sammys, and even have a full breakfast menu (with hash browns, egg sandwiches & wraps, fruit bowls, biscuits & gravy, etc.). My favorite sandwich on earth is those I eat on the days directly following Thanksgiving ... so I was drawn to order WD&C's Turkey Cranberry Sandwich ($7): Cranberry sauce, cream cheese, red onion, and lettuce. I chose wheat bread, with sourdough as the other option. I loved it! Fresh bread, generous cranberry sauce, and, of course, high-quality turkey. I can't wait to have it again! I also got a heaping bowl of their Chili Verde, a bargain at $3.75. I don't think I've ever seen a deli do any type of Mexican food well, but WD&C has delivered a green-chili masterwork here. While not thick with stuff, the stewish broth, big dollop of sour cream, scoops of corn, and sliced jalapeños make for a hearty, filling soup. A little bit sweet, a little bit spicy, a whole lot of YUM! I can't believe how good this deli Chili Verde is. And it perfectly pairs with the crispy, tortilla-like chips that come on the side ... dip away! I can't wait for this food truck to return to my work. Only problem: What I had was so good, it'll be a personal sacrifice to explore the menu further. The things I do for Yelp!

Nana’s Sonoran Hotdogs - Sonoran Hot Dogs

    Nana’s Sonoran Hotdogs

    (29 reviews)

No, you probably do not know what a Sonoran Dog is. So no, you don't know if this is authentic or…read morenot. I'm from Tucson. I tried almost every Sonoran Dog offering--restaurant, food truck--in Tucson. Seriously. And have Yelp reviewed and rated them all. Folks, this is the real deal. So what makes a Sonoran Dog? First, the hot dog. bacon wrapped, with the right sized pinto beans, and diced tomatoes and onions. Next, mayo, guac sauce, and sometimes mustard, depending on the vendor. Often served with a grilled pepper. So far, so good. But if you don't have this final ingredient, IT IS NOT A SONORAN DOG! And that is.... ....THE BUN! Sonoran dogs are only Sonoran Dogs if it has the right bun. These are the right buns. Well...I'll say it is 99% the real buns. He gets them shipped in from Phoenix, I believe. Phoenix does not have the best Sonoran Dogs. In Tucson (the first North American city to be named a "Gastronomic Capitol of the World" by UNESCO) *all* Sonoran Dog vendors get their buns from Alejandro's Bakery. Period. *All* of them. And they are a special bun. Long, in which the hot dog actually fits, tapered at each end, fluffy, and ever so slightly sweet. Half of the enjoyment of eating a Sonoran Dog is the bun. And often you end up with a bite or two with no more dawg and it is a pleasure to eat that left-over bun with still a few of the other ingredients in it. With Chipilon style of Sonoran Dog (from a certain Mexico province of the same/similar name?) the bun is toasted on the grill on both sides and there is cheese at the bottom of the bun, which is melted. This is how he serves them. And the toasted bun is the best way to have a Sonoran Dog in my opinion. So I say his buns (from Phoenix) are 99% real because these buns have one end sort of sliced off. But that does not detract from the experience of eating these fine dawgs. The only drawback for me is that these dawgs cost $8.50. But hey, we're in Utah, and he has to import the buns, so that's an extra cost. In Tucson, anyone would balk if the dawg cost more than $3.50. But for me, this is the only game in town. And it's a good one. And he serves his with Duros de harinas (Mexican wagon wheel chips). And tonight I tried a combo that comes with any version of dawg he does plus a "mini quesadilla," which wasn't so "mini" as he stuffs it with a generous amount of cheese and you get three triangles. He's in the Latinos Furniture parking lot on Redwood in West Jordan. In case you use Apple Maps, until they accept the correction I sent them, it is on the east side of Redwood: 7659 S Redwood Rd. His weekly location (if different than Latinos) is on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/nanassonoranhotdogs. Even my wife, who doesn't like hot dogs, like Sonoran Dogs and likes these Sonoran Dogs. Check it out! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
