Carne Asada (top left) Al Pastor (top right) Pollo (bottom)
Josh M.

The food was ready to go within minutes. Super friendly man working the truck. The three tacos I got were Carne Asada, Al Pastor (marinated pork), and Pollo (chicken). The chicken was tender, the steak was delicious, but the best was the marinated pork. That stuff was amazing. Throw some of their delicious red sauce (spicy) on that and you've got yourself your next comfort meal. The green sauce was great too, but the red sauce went perfectly with the marinated pork. Overall, pricing wasn't too bad for what you get. I'd say it's typical food truck pricing. Great meal.

Sobi is amazing!! Incredible service, incredible quality, and the BIGGEST burrito I've ever had!

Best Mexican food I've had in a while, very fast service, lots of food, all for a great price!! Gave us free samples of all the meat and very friendly service

Tiny but mighty

Yep. Tacos and tortas are flying out of this tiny trailer, and they are legit. No photos, we ate it all so fast. Then ordered more to go. Well

A burrito with barbacoa and drinks

This place is great! The first time we went, they gave us a sample of the different kinds of meat so that we could decide what kind we wanted! So kind, very clean, and DELICIOUS! We will be returning to her truck!

Pork, beef, and Alpastor tacos

These street tacos were the bomb! First time seeing a salsa bar with sour cream and shredded cheese. So cheap and so delicious, would love to rent their taco stand for an upcoming party as my neighbors seem to do it all of the time. They just pull up their trailer and cook away for large parties. :-) For sure will be back.

One of each taco!

I like to see what they have on the la carte , and I got a beef chimichanga, and a chili Relleno. Both were absolutely delicious. I was gonna with the chimichanga. You always get a side of sour cream and guacamole.Just the perfect amount with the lettuce garnish. Always perfect. You can order the Chimichanga in shredded beef, ground beef, chicken or carnitas. That's four different Chimichangas that they offer and what I told each one is absolutely delicious. I always love to order the chile relleno because you get a nice anaheim , or a poblano chili in it, stuffed with cheese, dipped in their batter, cooked and topped with their house sauce. Always a perfect choice and a perfect choice to compliment whatever you order with it. Their birria tacos looked absolutely delicious. I might order those when I go another time. Yeah, everyone enjoyed their food. Even the children; they had good choices for the children. As you can see in the pictures , the atmosphere is sweet and wonderful and inviting. There is a giant picture of Pedro Infante, the most famous singer from all of Mexico. His popularity is as strong as Elvis Presley. From what i'm told; and they are both passed away. The chips and salsa were yummy and homemade. The wait staff were very friendly, sweet, and they were able to answer questions about anything within the restaurant. The place was packed. Everywhere I looked there were groups of people, friends and family sitting there, enjoying their food. This was a fun restaurant for a hosting birthday party at.

Some dishes are flavorful, but others feel a little bland or inconsistent. Portions are good, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable for a quick meal. I ordered the fish tacos and a cucumber lemonade, and both were outstanding. The lemonade was incredibly refreshing and hit the spot perfectly. The fish tacos were crispy, flavorful, and served with several different condiments that allowed you to customize each bite and add even more flavor. The chips and salsa were also fresh and delicious. One thing to note is that the parking lot is small and was completely packed when we arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon. However, we were still able to find parking and get a table surprisingly fast despite the crowd. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a great experience. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

They start you off with chips and salsa, which is always appreciated. Just know that the first basket is complimentary and any additional baskets come with a charge. Of everything we tried, the Cheesy Pastor Tacos were the clear standout. The birria, asada, and chorizo were all good, but the pastor tacos stole the show. Next time I'll probably skip the variety and just order those. The only thing that caught us off guard was the seating policy. They wouldn't seat our table until everyone in the party had arrived, even though the people we were waiting for were literally pulling into the parking lot. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did feel a little unnecessary and inconvenient. Overall, the food was excellent, the drinks were refreshing, and the experience was a good one. I'll definitely be back, especially for the Cheesy Pastor Tacos.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. These were not complimentary but when they arrived the salsa was fresh and unique. I was glad I ordered them. My wife chose the carne asada burrito. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The check had included a 15% Service Charge so I was glad to see the options on the screen to add a tip began at a level that matched up with the service charge at a reasonable level. I only had one complaint, The music was a little loud. The sound system is great and I loved the authentic music but the baseline was pumping loud enough to hurt my ears. I'd recommend adjusting the volume or the mix to make it a little more comfortable. Overall I loved this experience and will definitely want to come again. No pictures, sorry.

For date night last night, my wife and I patronized Los Cucos here in Sandy, as it had been at least four years since we last ate at this restaurant. We were seated immediately, but it was almost as if we were in a different restaurant from what we remembered from our past visits. Last night it was bright, stark, noisy, and felt like a sports bar with all the many flat-screen TVs on the wall. They even had a huge speaker system hanging from the ceiling, set up, no doubt for large parties? Not what we expected for a well-patronized Mexican (Tex-Mex?) restaurant in Sandy. Rosa was our server and did a nice job taking care of us, but it really went downhill from there. The menu was impressive, I'll give them that...but so were the prices (and not in a good way.) My wife ordered Las Sebas (a mini smothered chimichanga with chile verde and two fried taquitos, served with rice and guacamole), and I went with my fave, Carnitas (chunks of slow-cooked pork loin served with tomatillo sauce, sour cream, fresh sliced avocado, onions, pico de gallo, rice, "borracho" beans, and tortillas.) Sounds de-lish, right? Keep reading. I also has a large Margarita ($12.25 + rocks & salt)...and we both enjoyed the chips and salsa...with a warm red salsa and a cool avocado salsa. Then the robot appeared. Yes, of all places, they use a robot to deliver the food to our table...but it still required a server to pull the plates off the robot and put them in front of us. A robot? Really? Our delivery robot stopped just shy of our table right there in the middle of the aisle, and it sat there...for 3-4 minutes waiting for staff. That was 3-4 minutes of our food cooling off even further, not to mention the time it took in the kitchen to load it and the time it took to crawl halfway across the restaurant to our table. Gimmick. I'll speak to my food as it had a nice presentation, but after digging in, it was lacking in many respects. The carnitas were chunky and moist, but damn those big fat globs that were hidden under the meat. Yuck. Honestly, I get much better carnitas locally from Gual Bertos and La Hacienda here in Draper. And the tortillas? Worthless. They were just dry, flaky, cold, and crumbled as I tried to roll them. I had one bite of one. A total waste. The rest of my plate was OK, especially the "borracho beans". The rest was OK but there wasn't a lot of it...and a fair amount (pico de gallo and the lettuce) was hidden under the two flat pieces of lettuce that the kitchen used to decorate my plate. All in all, it didn't seem worth the $21.00 I paid for my entree. I also took about 1/3 of my meal home in a hinged lid container. The whole experience could have been way better. The ambiance was terrible, the food was OK, service was good (but seemed rushed as Rosa brought us our check halfway through our meal and then immediately asked us if we wanted containers for take-home...what?), and the cost (the two entrees, a Sprite, and a large margarita) was $69.63 out the door with gratuity. Hmmmm. No value there. As I said earlier, it really could have been better. A lot better. And just how did this venue get voted "Best in SLC" for a Mexican Restaurant? 2 Stars, and we're never coming back.
