She has an advanced degree from UT in education and a degree in teaching Chinese language. She has been so sweet to our daughter and our daughter has learned so much there. In just a couple of months, our daughter has learned her numbers and comes home each week knowing new Chinese words and phrases that she wants to teach us. My wife and I don't speak Chinese at all, so our 3 year old is teaching us! lol Livia the director has done an amazing job bringing together -- professional -- teachers who are passionate about teaching kids this age. It really shows how much thought and effort they put into the curriculum and how deeply they care about the children. I've never seen kids so patient, calm, and well behaved as I have when we've visited our daughter's classroom. Ms. Iris creates a really fun environment for them where they can be themselves and learn and it really shows. Our daughter's growth there has been amazing to see and she loves getting dropped off at school every day. We're beyond happy that we found Joy Park and I couldn't recommend it more. Like any daycare, they have issues with turn over, but we've had a consisent enough environment for our kiddo. The teachers have been good about talking thru any behavior issues with us and it feels like a partnership. Our son has also learned a ton and can already recite his ABCs, count to 20, and recognize his letters. He surprises me weekly with what I assune he learns at school. For the price and the overall experience we've had, I give them a 5 star rating. Our kiddo is moving to K4 now and I'll look back at his time at Stepping Stone with a warn heart.

I feel that they genuinely care about my kids and they are communicative if I have any questions or concerns. My older son always enjoyed the theme days and special events like Splash Day and the Kona Ice truck over the summer. I was nervous with my younger son starting at just 3-months-old in Infant 1 but he got a lot of one-on-one attention even in a group setting. Eila fell in love with her teachers in the infant program, and we felt like the teachers fell in love with her as well! She stayed at BH into their 2's program, until we had our 2nd child, Rhys. When Rhys was born, we pulled the kids out to try and save some money by sending them to a cheaper school. We quickly discovered that, as with most things in life, you really do get what you pay for...after about 3 weeks, we decided to enroll both of our kids back at BH. We made the decision to cut back in other areas of our lives because when it comes to childcare, it is impossible to settle for less once you've had your kids at a place like this. The teachers at BH are a giant stride ahead of the teachers at the other daycare that we tried. BH teachers foster relationships between the children so that the classroom is a place where the kids are happy to be (so much so that our daughter asks to go on the weekends). They send pictures and notes regularly so you can talk to your children about their day and be more involved with the kids at home. The teachers are encouraged by BH to pursue a higher education through a tuition-reimbursement program, so they are generally happier (keeping the turnover rates lower) and becoming better at what they do every day. Everything from the intellectual activities and programs to the creative activities and the teacher-child relationships are unmatched in our experience and we are tremendously happy and grateful to be back!

My fiancé and I paid The Learning experience as a private preschool for our African American 4…read moreyear old son, at the time the only African American student enrolled full time. What we received from day one was antagonizing, harassing discriminatory treatment from Erin director and owner with constant threats to kick our son out. 3, 2, 1, the branding and numbers on the front of the building, is the disciplinary action steps The Learning Center uses to push out a child before after accepting payments. 1 send the child Home for a day, 2 send the child home for 2 days, 3 ask the parent to take the child somewhere else. Before enrolling we were told this center was a private preschool it is not. I was made to complete more than 20 forms specifying my child's allergies etc that weren't followed. I put it in writing that we don't give our son cookies or sweets and received pictures this wasn't the case etc. For days in a row after paying $125 for an enrollment fee and $1125 for the month. Erin the owner would call us and ask that we come and pick up our son an hour after dropping him off for seemingly nothing at all. She also lied multiple times. The cameras in the center do not work to record only as a live feed for center owners husband to watch from home (what is this about). Day two of my child being at the day care I was called by Erin and told my son was behaving uncharacteristically and I needed to come get him at 9am in the morning roughly an hour after dropping him off. I was told my son was up walking around during story time touching toys and didn't return to his seat. Instead of getting 8 hours of day care on this day I got one. I explained that my son was in a Montessori for 2 years and I never had problems, and had been home with me during Pandemic. My fiancé and I decided this center would not be best for our child and we privately searched for another school to put him in. At this point in the final days I would ask teachers in heavily overly populated classes (1 teacher/ 20+ students) how my son behaved? I would get good reports and literally while turning the corner to leave the building be pulled into the front office every single day and told things perceived to be bad by Erin some examples include my son knocked blocks over, my son knocked over dolls from a chair, my son wouldn't share a toy he played with another student. While I paid for day care services, one day I came to the day care and sat and watched my own son for about two hours during which two white students sat at a table one with a sharp pencil in his hand pretending to stab another student in the eye. I pointed this out to myself and nothing was done but my son constantly was sent home. The heartbreak of it all is my 4 year has no clue why he was asked to leave the school every other day and keeps asking to go to school. I do not recommend this place, it's sad that as a mother I was dragged into the office with the centers owner daily to talk about stuff four year old boys do for hours at a time. Your son we to the bathroom multiple times, your son grabbed a toy from a shelf during center time please pick him up. My sons self esteem took multiple hits during an attempt at a four year old character assassination. Now thankful that I recorded audio telephone calls and videos of my interactions.

A few of our neighbors already have their kids attending here and that really had us focusing on this place even more. We heard great things about this day care through our neighbors. Today we stopped by to visit the facility and staff. Our first impression was they are very friendly and happy going staff. They gave us a warm welcome and a tour of the facitlity. Oh one more thing it doesn't smell like clorox or bleach around the facility. They have a huge play area in the front that is covered in natural shade by some huge trees. In the back of the facility there was even more shade and another big play area that look like a fortress and huge big play area for kids to run around. It is all family-owned, the director was very insprational as you spoke with her about rates and the facility. The kinder prep class room was very welcoming and the children look very energetic and happy to be there. The pre-school (k) class room was even better. The teacher was like me old school and teaching the kids to be independent of themselves and a team player in helping clean. She told us the kids go on field trips to all pumpkin patches, dinosaur park in Bastsrop, and many other fun exciting places for kids to be kids. The instructor also explained that they teach the children values and discipline. Something most pre-schools or day cares these days don't really teach. They are all certified in CPR and they renew their certifications every two years for CPR. The classes are very spacious, open, very clean to the teeth. Kids were well behaved and had very good manners with their teacher and us visiting. I know today was our first impression but as they say first impressions make a point. Today they were A Plus in my book. I really enjoyed the part about how they are Christian oriented and how the kids say the pledge of allegiance. That in my book fits our family values. One we are both veterans of our country and two we are trying to teach our children the value of Christianity. Whether or not those are your family values this place really is professional and courteous about taking care of the children there. I am really excited about our kids attending here.

They were going to another day care across town, and we switched due to a lot of employee turnover at that one. The ladies at Kinder Haus have been working there forever. They all have established relationships with each other (most of them are family), and they have relationships with the children. I truly believe that they love my two kids and want what's best for them. There's a difference between childcare and babysitting, and I believe KinderHaus is childcare at its best.
