I love walk in massage places that have the open tables that do a combo massage for a good price. No fuss just a decent massage. This is one of them. I used to only be able to find them in the cities but this is the affordable way to get in frequent massages, if you don't mind the "decor" just being par. Will come back. read more

Just a bit too constrained for me. I know it's just me but I am not what you would call modest. I've had a massage a month for the last ten years and I loved the variety and creativity of the masseus. About two years ago my sister was in a nursing home in Austin and after visiting her I was very upset and tense. I passed a massage place and decided that was what I needed so I did a u-turn and went back. The price was reasonable and typical so I payed and she led me to a room. After I removed my clothing I did not see the usual towel or drape cover on the table. She tapped on the door to see if I was ready and I said I don't see a cover. She said "I don't use one" and came in the room. I was a little uncomfortable when I lay down but she went to work and after a time I began to relax. By the time she was finished (90 min) I was convinced this was the best way to go. None of that tucking and rearranging of the drape made for a smoother and calmer experience. some therapists Ive been to will remove the drape after a few minutes and that works as well and it is amazing how much better I feels to be free of the feeling of being "uncovered". read more

I'm extremely confused as to how this place has such good reviews. My boyfriend and I were given gift vouchers for two 60 minute messages. Believe me when I say it was the most painful "message" I've ever received. Even after telling the gentleman he was hurting me, he continued digging into my back and neck. I left in pain and uncomfortable. Two days after I had bruising on my neck and my back feels like it's going to go out. Absolutely avoid. read more

I am so glad that Joy Foot Spa is in Brenham! I come back to visit family and was so excited when I saw their sign driving by after leaving my grandparents. I immediately pulled up and went inside. The sign on the front door said to walk through the lobby to find the front desk and I found a friendly woman waiting for me when I pulled back the curtain. I was 8:30pm on a Thursday and I wanted to make sure they were still open and she assured me they were and to pick one of their massages. Being a regular foot massage customer around NYC and Asia, I knew I preferred having my whole body rubbed.. face, back, arms, legs, feet. I opted for the 60-minute combo massage. She took me to the back to a comfortable room with separate "tents"/rooms with curtains. I had my own room and there was light relaxing music playing, but otherwise it was very quiet the entire massage. This is so rare for these types of places in my experience, so it was a welcome surprise. I'm used to having the city noise creeping in or people chatting to each other as they enter and leave the building. Joy was totally relaxing the entire time! The massage was also really surprising. I always find it interesting how different masseuse have different patterns they follow. Sometimes I'll feel like the massage is too soft or that they aren't really "flowing" with the massage, but I am happy to say this was one of the better foot massages I've ever had! The back portion of the massage was the perfect pressure, and it felt like she was finding all of the right places to rub out the tension. I actually ended up going back a few other times and just made an appointment to go with my mom today. I saw they didn't have any reviews on yelp and really felt like they deserved it given how much JOY I get visiting their establishment. Thank you for the relaxation! read more

This place is so much more than a foot massage. They practice reflexology so it is much better than a standard massage. The gentleman also stretched me out and used heat to loosen my muscles. I left feeling wonder and relaxed. The price is amazing!!! I will be back. read more

I get massages regularly and can say without a doubt reflexology spas are the best kind of massage treatment out there. This establishment in particular is wonderful. They can tend to your entire body, not just your feet. The therapists seem very experienced and read the body well. They can identify and help with problem areas. They make sure to apply the right pressure most comfortable for you. I love the gentle stretches once the body is nice and relaxed throughout the massage. Stress just melts away and I leave feeling amazing. I'd go everyday if I could. The staff goes above and beyond. read more
