Thought I would try out this place, because of the reviews. I have to say it was a really good massage. The only things that bugged me was when I called for the appointment, I asked for a female, and got a guy. He was really good though. When I went in they asked my name my phone number and if I had an appointment two times. All in all the reason that I did not give it 5 stars was the misunderstanding about the lady vs the male and I asked for the 70 minute for $ 40.00 when I went in, and when I came out after 60 minutes it was $55.00. Love this place! Come here nearly once a month and it is consistently good service and always leave feeling relaxed. I have tried many many foot spas in the area and this is definitely one of the best. I will say there have been a few times I have tried to pop in but they haven't had an opening for an hour or so. Today was my last visit to Joy Foot. I have been a long time customer and the front desk woman (who is always there) has never been welcoming but today she let me know that they couldn't fit me in for an hour but could do 30 min. Great! I asked if I could still get the scalp massage with my feet in the 30 min. She rudely let me know (without even making eye contact) that I couldn't do that. The massage technicians are hit or miss and this woman's attitude was the final straw. There are too many other local foot spas for her to act like this. read more

I've had several therapists and they all vary. One person I used to have regularly (who was amazing) left to China so unfortunately with these types of establishments, the retention rate is low. This place is a hidden gem. I had a full body massage (1 hour) for $55. The therapist was really great, applied the right pressure on my body and I really felt relaxed afterwards. I've had some really good massages at this place but the one I had yesterday was the worst massage experience of my life. It's hard to complain about a $30 massage, but I really felt like not only should they have comped this particular massage, if they want me back, they should've offered me another free massage! The kid who "massaged" me REEKED of cigarette smoke and smacked on gum the entire time. He paid no attention to the areas I asked him to pay attention to and much of the massage was one handed. It was absolutely 1/2 assed and so hurried that I left feeling more stressed out than I was when I got there. This guy needs to go or this business will lose its otherwise good reputation fast. read more

I've visited many of these foot spas and this was is definitely the best. I have been getting weekly massages for years and have had a membership with Massage Envy for the past 8 years. However, I have stopped using my membership to massage envy because I prefer the massages at Joy Foot. The atmosphere and environment at Massage Envy is better but most of their therapists are awful and lazy. Every one of my massages at Joy Foot are great. They really make sure you get more than your money's worth. I always get the 60 min special for $30. It is witht way more than $30. You can't beat that deal. The facility is very clean. The only negatives are minor: First, the woman who usually answers the phone cannot speak or understand English very well which makes it difficult schedule and ask questions unless you keep it very very simple. Second, listening to all the calls and people coming in is very distracting. Again, these are very minor negatives. This place is great. I love supporting small businesses and am so glad this place is doing well because it's so close to my house. read more

I've been to my fair share of foot massage places and this one was probably one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. I'll chalk it up to the fact that maybe we went at 8:30pm and they close at 10pm so the women that were assigned to us were tired but if you like foot whispers for massages, this is your place. I even requested heavy pressure for both my husband and I and they failed to carry through. If you want a real reflexology massage I recommend Happy Feet on belt line -- the masseuses there actually hit the pressure points on your feet with the pressure you request. read more

My husband and I are new to Dallas and we were looking for a little relaxation on the 4th. Being a holiday we knew our choices were limited so I started my yelp research and came across Joy Foot. I liked the reviews an encouraged my husband to read them. He was really looking for a traditional massage and was a hair skeptical, but he liked the reviews and agreed to give it a try. We stopped by without an appointment and they took us right away. The layout was interesting, not separate rooms like you would expect but private enough. We opted for one of their specials $40 that included a 30 minute foot massage and 40 minute body massage. I'm not going to go into all the details but the bottom line is, we will be going back. I never ever thought a foot massage would be so relaxing let alone a massage where you keep your clothes on. They are clean, professional and methodical. I had lunch at Campisi's and saw Joy Foot Massage and impulsively decided to get a foot massage. For $40.00 I got an amazing 70 minute foot/head/shoulder/back/legs massage. Jack did the massage and was very courteous and made immediate adjustment for the slightest discomfort. Everyone there was friendly and professional. It was clean and quiet. I have been to this place before they moved to the new location. It's even better than before!! The place is clean, quiet, cool and dark! I've been here at least 50 times and have been impressed with every therapist. My only concern is they don't change out the fitted bottom (and possibly, top) sheets after each client. It would be very inexpensive to do and I wish they would change that practice. However, the one hour special is so good for a great price that I can overlook it! read more

I have been a few times and have had most of the staff. All of them are professional and great at what they do. They keep the talking to a minimum and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The massage at this place is wonderful. You will love it. What upsets me is that they don't change the towels or sheets on the massage tables between clients. I saw them several times re-make the "beds" with the same sheets and merely fold the blankets and towels back up for the next client. Took my son to Joy Foot and we asked for only 30 min foot massage . It was so soft it felt annoying we had our faces covered with a towel so I could not see . I thought it would never end . When we finally were done I asked my son how did it feel . He responded I'm never coming here again I agreed and he said same thing I felt . Annoying massage . I was trying to treat him to good experience . I always tip and I did this time too. But when we went to check out they charged my credit card for an hour each . I said we only asked for 30 min and with that we couldn't wait for it to be over . They all started yelling at us that they did an hour . Finally the owner told them to stop and gave me 20 in cash because they were wrong . It was a terrible annoying massage and then to be yelled at because they made a mistake was enough. If the massage was good at least we would of felt like it wasn't such a waste of time and money . Total bomb . Won't make that mistake again . They speak only enough English to make you out to be wrong , how convenient . I wish there was a quality place that was not such a disappointment . I would rather pay more for sure thing . Being tortured for 30 more min then I had to be , if I would of been able to see clock I would of stopped it for sure . Note to self . Check time because these massage people do not understand English so payment has to be very clear at desk before you go back cause your a sitting duck .
