The office manager (Lan) wrote me an incredibly long email attempting to justify why I had not heard back, etc, which I chose not to review as I want to proceed with a professional and efficient dental practice without engaging in passive aggressive manners. I requested my records to be sent to a different dental office and they called me the next morning stating that my insurance DID cover 50% of the cost of the implant and there were no issues contacting insurance or navigating coverage inquiry. They stated that it was very straightforward. Be aware! Not sure why I was informed such inconsistent information across practices and why Coron providers were still supposedly waiting 3 weeks for a response, that the practice down the road obtained in a day. I was accused of "below the belt" attacks, but I simply stated facts and am honestly concerned abt potential insurance fraud as they seem to be informing patients that services are not covered by insurance when they actually are or that follow up is taking much longer due to blatant negligence. Please check your benefits carefully if you use this practice. Nothing in my review was an attack or inaccurate nor a reflection of their medical practice. The response by the practitioner is unprofessional and surprising given the feedback regarding ability to check insurance and adequately keep patients informed.

Beacon Family Dental is the only one so far that truly cares about their patients, whereas many other offices only focus on making more profit. Everything here is extremely transparent and professional, from the front desk to the dentist and hygienist. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a dentist to give them a try. First of all, I wasn't sure whether my insurance would cover the dental expenses, the front desk staff carefully reviewed my insurance and explained the coverage breakdown step by step. I've visited four dental offices in the past year, and no one else has ever done this, all of the other front desk I spoke to brushed off these questions and only tried to persuade me into buying more of their services. Second, my hygienist, Samantha, genuinely cares about her patients. She did my cleaning in a super gentle way, and she kept asking me to let her know immediately if I felt any discomfort during the process. Last but not least, Dr. Liu examined my teeth, noticed some bleeding, and suggested a partial deep cleaning only if necessary. This was by far the fairest advice I've received. At other offices, the first recommendation was always a full deep cleaning. Overall, my experience at Beacon Family Dental has been outstanding! Their transparency, professionalism, and genuine concern for patient comfort truly set them apart from other dental offices I've visited. I finally feel confident that my dental health is in trustworthy hands, and I will absolutely continue coming here and recommending them to friends and family.

Be careful of billing fraud!…read more I visited Beacon Family Dental a month ago for re-cement of my implant. Because they were not sure whether insurance would cover re-cement, they charged me $236 onsite for the full price of re-cement and promised would refund me if the insurance does cover it. A week later I received statement from my insurance showing they did cover most of the re-cement. I waited for another month for the refund but didn't receive any, so I reached out to the dental office. I am attaching their response below. The last message sounded very unprofessional and rude to me. To justify no-refund, they then resubmitted an additional claim for implant maintenance and charged $315. However, they never mentioned this service to me before, not to mention "told you insurance won't cover it". They charged me upfront $236 which was the exact full amount they submitted for re-cement but nothing else. I never requested for or was aware of the "implant maintenance service". It sounded like a makeup thing they came up later to deny the refund. Very disappointed at the staff's dishonesty.

From my perspective, he was just trying to shift the blame even though I was trying to be polite and reasonable. I hope if anyone reads this, you might want to consider other dentists. My whole family has been regular patients in this place. Recently, we received a very rude reminder about dental cleaning and a threatening message that if we don't schedule our last cleaning for the fiscal year, our account will be deactivated! What is that supposed to mean? I don't understand what kind of business this place is running if they think these kind of messages are going to bring more clients?! Quite the opposite! It is unheard of hygiene appointments to be required so patients can keep their account active! Usually, dental facilities and private offices send friendly reminders for the patients to take advantage of a covered by insurance dental cleaning since there are only 2 per year. The manager needs to really apologize to all patients who received this kind of unpleasant email or text message as this is really unprofessional and totally unacceptable! After all, there are at least 30 other dental offices in the areas near by Newton Corner, Watertown, Brighton and Waltham. This kind of treatment of the patients would completely drive them away! Unbelievable!!!

Front office was kind, my first hygienist was nice. My dentist and hygienist were changed on me without notice, and neither of them introduced themselves to me (I still don't know what the dentist looks like or what his name is). Further, the new hygienist used a tool during a routine cleaning that broke off a piece of my tooth. He asked if "that crack [has] always been there", to which I replied "no." Come to find that I require a crown. In my back and forth with the office over this, I find that the hygienist had written in his notes that I came in with the crack. His notes state that I said "I think one of my teeth broke", which is patently false. When confronted with this, the dentist refused to believe me or cover any part of the now required procedure. More than the confusion over the cause of the crack in my tooth, it really worried me that the dental notes written at this place don't align with reality: that's scary, as they aren't things I review at every routine cleaning. Icing on the cake: I asked for my dental records to move on to a new dentist, and they sent me the dental notes for a different patient, casually violating HIPAA. Go at your own risk.
