I had a silk garment cleaned at Joy cleaners. There was a tear at the cuff of sleeve which was of major concern. They were able to repair and restore my silk jacket like new! Thank you for your great service! read more

Damaged my custom suit from Hong Kong and refused to take responsibility for the damage. I cautioned Joy Cleaners when I dropped off my suit and told them to be careful, but they ignored my request. In addition, this store is very expensive and not worth the quality. I would not recommend this cleaners. read more

Expensive $$$! Just moved to the area. Took some scrubs to be ironed not, dry clean. $74.75. $5.75 each. Very Expensive! This service at my previous cleaners cost less than dry cleaning. For good reason. No special cleaning process, no stain removing. Just Iron! Needless to say, I will be going back to my old neighborhood cleaners. read more

Great service and pricing. I have been coming here for years. I've probably used every service they offer by now (dry cleaning, press/iron, tailoring, stain removal, cleaning shoes, etc) and I have never had a complaint . I definitely recommend if you're looking for fast, efficient, quality dry cleaning services. read more

Recently took a skirt to Joy Cleaners in Somerset, NJ to have the waist taken in. A worker took measurements but when I picked up the skirt it was apparent that the alterations were not completed properly. The skirt was just as big as it was when I initially dropped it off! Instead of offering to correct the error, I was asked to pay an extra $15 on top of the $27 that I already paid! The manager refused to correct the error and did not refund my money. Truly disappointed and will never go there again. Pure greed! Beware and go somewhere else for your dry cleaning and alterations! read more

Good service and price. Somerset needs this for working professionals. I haven't tried there pickup service but when I do I will repost here. read more

We would email ourselves coupons and present them on our phones, and they would not be accepted. Then we'd print them out and they wouldn't be accepted due to use limitations (extremely tiny print says you have to show them the coupon when you drop your clothes off, not when you pick them up. Just seems intuitive that'd you'd present a coupon when you're paying). Why offer a coupon if you're never going to honor it? It's a shame because this place is down the street from us and does a decent job , but we started going to other places because of the poor customer service. read more

Have been using them for 2 years and finally writing review. Consistently below average results: * Shirts come without collar support leaving collar wrinkled * Leaving stains on white clothes Would definitely recommend to not use for any clothes that cost more than $20 - it'll inevitably get ruined in 2-3 or cleanings. read more

Total rip off. Owner said he can't iron sleeves of dress shirts just the body so he literally gave them back with wrinkled sleeves. He said if I wanted the sleeves ironed I'd have to pay for dry cleaning. $5.00 a shirt. Total crook. NEVER again! read more

Good local cleaner with same day service and free pickup service (25.00 minimum). Staff is friendly and efficient and dry cleaning is always done well (and ready same day). Give them a try! read more

I've been going to Joy Cleaners since it opened in the mall a few years ago. They've always done a good job and I've had zero problems. I'm happy with them and also trust them with my tailoring. Their prices are very competitive. One time my phone was low on battery, so they let me charge it there while I ran next door to eat at Subway. They even cleaned my American flag for free! The owner can be old fashioned but they work really hard to do a good job! read more

Used this place for a year but I've been noticing that buttons have been missing in each batch of clothing I drop off here to get cleaned. Needless to say, I'll be finding a new place, even if I have to drive a bit further. read more

This place is great. Always on time. Even early when I walked in just to see if it was done. Everything comes back pristine. The quality of the tailor is amazing. I tore a pair of pants through the fabric instead of just the seam and other places wouldn't take it. They took it here and made it look great and minimal. I can wear the pants and no one can tell! They can have all my dry cleaning and tailoring business! read more

This dry cleaners/laundry use to be good when Gina worked there. Now cleaning is not ready at requested day, starch is used on men's shirts when No Starch is clearly in their system, clothes getting damaged and the owner is flat out rude. Wish it hadn't changed - as they are local to me - but don't like my clothes coming back damaged - which they seem to do with frequency now, starch filled shirts and cleaning not ready when requested. read more

Be very cautious using Joy Cleaners. I was quoted a price to have 2 jumpsuits hemmed. The total for both was $26 (and said so on the ticket with qty. 2) but when I went to pick up my clothing and pay, I was told the price was incorrect and that it is actually $26 per jumpsuit! I asked them to honor the price they quoted and they wouldn't. Awful customer service. First and last time using them. read more

Been coming here for years!! Love Joy Cleaners!!!! They put a lot of effort into their work and do their best for the customer. My suits, my daughters' dresses, including their prom dresses, were all taken care of flawlessly and I couldn't be more satisfied. They are friendly and care a lot about doing good work. read more

I rarely write reviews, but this is the worst dry cleaner I've ever used. They are rude and dishonest. They quoted me a price to get my top dry cleaned. And when my husband went to pick it up for me, they charged him twice the amount originally quoted because they said my top had a lining. They couldn't see that when they took the top from me? Not wanting to leave the place without my top, he paid for it. We were due to be posted overseas and were on our way to the airport so we didn't have the time to argue or go back to complain. Honestly, I'm surprised that they are even still in business. There are way better dry cleaners to use. read more

I just started taking my husbands shirts and pants here and they are very nice and efficient. The service is great, the cleaning is great and the prices are good. The only reason why I gave only 4 stars is because you have to have a minimum of $20 to use a credit card. I rarely carry cash so this was a little it of a disappointment but not that big of a deal. They even sent me coupons after my first service, so that's always a plus. I would definitely recommend Joy cleaners! read more

I am thoroughly disappointed in this business and I will never go back there again nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. My fiancé dropped a suit and a dress that needs to be ready in 7 days for a wedding which he explained to them. The day before the wedding they gave him the suit and said the dress is not ready and it would be the next day at noon. Next day rolls around and the dress is still not ready, I insisted on picking it up and wore it not done and refused to pay. They also did a terrible job. Do not waste your money. read more

most times i have used them my shirts often come wrinkled. Also theyre pricing is higher than most others in the area

Joy cleaners overall does a good job but does have a credit card minimum which they fail to mention at the drop off. This can be very inconvenient. read more

Can I give them zero stars? They stole my husbands expensive work shirts and he had to jump through hoops to even get them to pay for a FEW of them! They tried to pull a fast one on us and give us someone elses shirts (womens at that) and didn't even apologize. Stay away if you dont want your clothes stolen or "lost". read more

Overall professional cleaning and an extremely hard working staff. However, CUSTOMER PLEASE BEWARE, on the occasion that they damage your clothing, which does happen-- THE OWNER, KATHY, WILL refuse all responsibility and worse CALL YOU A LIAR. I brought a very special designer dress to Joy Cleaners which required dry cleaning on cool heat, as was clearly indicated on the instruction tag -- and the dress came back damaged from high heat. Kathy agreed that the dress had been damaged but refused to accept responsibility; claiming instead that I (a 6 year loyal customer) had brought the dress somewhere else and they caused the damage. I provided my Joy Cleaner's receipt and yet she still called me a liar and accused me of duping her and having to answer to G-d. This was the most humiliating and horrible experience I have ever had with a business! read more
