This is the latest restaurant trying to make a success of this particular site, formerly Di Napoli's Italian. From the outside it's a weird looking place. Not unattractive, it's just that you don't usually expect to see a restaurant concealed behind full-height smoked glass windows, in a sort of annex to a large furniture showroom.
We went on a Monday and it was dead. The place has only been open a couple of months but has developed a bit of a local buzz on social media due to its quirky interior (designed to look like an Indian railway scene) and quality food.
Overall it was a good experience. The service was great (to be expected being 2 of the 5 people in attendance) and the food was lovely. Try the cheese and onion dosa for starter if you're into that kind of thing, and my lamb bhuna was one of the best I've had.
There's also a good looking selection of cocktails, wines and the standard beer fayre you expect at a curry house.
This is a good restaurant, with very good food at a reassuring price point. I just can't shake the nagging feeling that it won't be here in a few years due to the location - I'm convinced that unit is cursed. I hope I'm wrong! read more
