Precious visits have been mediocre at best but yesterday at lunch hit a new low…read more Walked in a little after noon. Paid for the buffet got my plate and when I went to the hot table, there were only four trays there. One was the ubiquitous chocolate pizza which and another was a combination of two types of pizza they had combined. None were fresh but I did manage to put together a small plate hoping that by the time I had finished, a fresh one would come out. This mirrors my prior experiences. I am a longtime patron of the Village Inn chain and have regular eaten at both Statesville locations and when they were open, locations in Mooresville and Cornelius. Even the smaller location on the Westside of Statesville will normally have at least 7 trays of pizza. I addition I ordered an unsweetened Iced Tea which is self-serve, but the canister of Unsweetened Iced Tea had so much Sugar in it, if I had tried to stick a spoon in it, it would have remained erect with any assistance. Granted that I have mobility issues and have to walk with a cane, when I tried to put my plate down so that I could get the tea, the went plop onto the floor. At this time, I chose to walk out the door even though I had already paid for my lunch. I will continue to patronize Village Inn but not this location.

The "buffet" was 3 different pizzas that were cold or maybe luke warm. When I mentioned that to a worker all I got was a shoulder shrug. Needless to say we will not be back to this restaurant. Good luck to anyone who wants to brave this establishment. You also might want to use the bathroom before you get there as the facilities were in need of a lot of attention. Signed Disappointed.

As we walked through the door, a customer stopped us to tell us he was not impressed. As we looked around, the restaurant was in a state of disarray, with half eaten pizza crust, crumbs all over the floor, and all of the serving staff standing around talking. The hostess did not come great us, but she waved her finger at us from across the restaurant to come to a table, we walked over to the table, and there were crumbs in the booth, table was dirty, etc. We had to ask the server to wipe the table town, and she only wiped the table in one corner where she saw visible mess. She got our drinks, and we got our food at the buffet, the food was fine, but the state of the restaurant made it difficult to eat comfortably. Throughout the entire experience we observed the staff standing around continuing to let the restaurant be dirty. My husband picked up the seasonings at the table to put on his pizza, and they were covered in grease. While walking out, our server who seemed to be a young girl, maybe a teenager, started staring at me rudely, and talking about me or my body. The cashier asked us how everything was, we said it was just alright, and they did not seem interested in why. This was on Wednesday, March 11th, around the 8:00pm hour. We've eaten here before and it was great, but this specific night crew absolutely neglected the state of the restaurant and customers.

Flies, filth, and zero service ruined my day! No stars should be given…read more Absolutely disgusting. Flies everywhere, food tasted awful, and the place looks old and filthy. The owners clearly don't care -- this Lincolnton location makes the one in Shelby look clean, and that's saying something. Door left wide open, flies swarming like it's normal. Where's the Health Department? Waitress didn't bother to refill our drinks, just vanished to "mop the bathrooms." Manager had the personality of a brick and couldn't care less. Spent over $60 to swat flies and sit in filth on my day!! Never again. Avoid this dump at all costs. You've been warned.
