This was a carry out order: Food was just ok...The ground beef in the chimichangas had a weird texture and taste. The guacamole was way past its prime and not cheap (5.75 for a small comtainer) the side of spinach was way more onions and tomatoes than spinach...the side of mushrooms was mixed with a lot of onions which is not listed in the description. The white cheese dip is pricey but so not worth it anymore...it was thin milky and didn't even taste like real cheese. The chips were cold and hard and the cilantro on everything tasted way more like parsley. Sad to give a bad review but with service charges it was close to $50 for two plates that were sub par! We've eaten in the dinning room there before and have gotten excellent food and service. This was not that. read more

We've been going to Mazatlan for years. Our favorites are the queso and chips, chicken chimichangas and the tacos a la bravas. The wait staff are always fast and friendly. It's kind of a hole in the wall, but they've added all kinds of authentic Mexican metal and wood art. read more

Service was good but the food that both my friend and I ordered was very bland. I've eaten there off and on for many years and this was so disappointing. the manger offered nothing to make it right so we won't be back. read more

Great service and good brought great grand daughter to eat some chicken off paw paws plate instead of her cheeseburger.

Me and my girlfriend went in here and spilt a meal which was 13$ then our bill came out to be 31$ and our waiter decided to tip himself 9$ making our meal we split come to 40$ Don't eat here. read more

Food was good, portions were large and service was tremendous. No alcohol, but it's a great place to take the family.

Terrible! Very overpriced and not at all special. Not only were we overcharged and they were unwilling to fix it, but the waiters are constantly "offering" extras such as cheese dip, guacamole and pretty much anything to increase sales like it's a damn bar. $16 for 3 store bought tortillas wrapped over dry chicken with canned sauce dumped over top...ridiculous! read more

We've been going to Mazatlan for years. Solid Mexican food with great chips and salsa. It's simple fare, but always good. This is a budget friendly restaurant with simple dishes made to appeal to a variety of people. The food is not spicy, but is flavored well. Some things can taste plain, but most dishes are great. We love their cheese dip, chimichangas and pollo con crema. Service is always plentiful and friendly. read more

So I ordered just a simple taco salad with JUST lettuce, shredded cheese, pico, guac, and sour cream. The guy who took my order over the phone continued to ask, "So, no beans or meat?" and I repeated this THREE. TIMES. and he continued to ask the same thing even after I asked him to read it back to me. I'm aware I could have checked once I got my order but I had a shred of good faith after having repeated my specifications three times over the phone. When I opened it my salad consisted of lettuce, queso, and a shit ton of sour cream and tomatoes. I called back to order another and did not receive anything on the other end except some inaudible mumbling. I've been a few times and have personally never been impressed so this did me in. read more

the food was excellent!! i tried the chori pollo and it was excellent. the service was good but i'm pretty sure one of the waiters was flirting with me (awkward ) and the ambience was good read more

Made a call in for a large queso dip and an a la carte chicken quesadilla (so no rice and beans) . When I arrived I was handed my items and told the total was $27.13, wow that's a lot for two items...and then I realized I was handed an entire drink cup of $20 queso! After having to talk to 3 different people we were rudely talked to about the sizes...which were small which was 4 Oz. For $4, or double that at 8 Oz....not sure why that wasn't explained over the phone, I opted for 2 4 Oz. Cups (so I got 8 Oz. Total) and I was handed $4 in cash back...they acted like they did me a favor, I should've been refunded $12 and the $20 queso should've been explained over the phone.... Inflation and gas are through the roof and I still ate out and was cheated out of my hard earned money. Very disappointed in how all of this was handled. And never in my life have I seen a $20 queso on a menu. read more

Well if the can find someone who knows how to cook Mexican dishes they'll do better. This has to be a temporary thing I experienced Saturday night cuz this sort of not Mexican food can't be what they've been serving all this time. I got an opened face chili Reno - what!? No. the Chili gets stuffed with cheese...A burrito with beef that was NOT COOKED in sauce. It was hamburger meat, I kid you not, And an enchilada that had no cheese at all and the ground beef again was hamburger and was not cooked in sauce. How does any one think that is Mexican food?! Service was fast and friendly .Hope they get a mexican cook in there soon read more

Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant - This is the number 9 dinner meal. $11. No beans and rice. - Mexican Near Me - Lincolnton, North Carolina

Has fast become my favorite restaurant in the Lincolnton area. The food is really good and the staff is extra friendly. After a few trips here, the waiters knew what we were mostl likely to order and treated us like family. Every visit has been a pleasure. A definite place to bring friends and family when they come to visit. read more

This Restaurant is very Rude .... My son and I sat down order water ,this is what we drink. we don't drink soda ,I keep a menu because I needed to make a To go order for my husband ,once they bring our food so when I pay that will be ready .. I order 5 .99 cent tacos my son ordered 5 as well ,the waitress rolls her eyes and puts in our order about five minutes she comes and tells me I have to order a soda or they can't serve us I said no I don't drink soda , then I say put them in a to go box she refused unless I still purchase a soda .. this is nowhere on the wall menu Webb sight that you have to purchase a soda to get a .99 taco on .99 taco Tuesday needless to say my son and I walked out I just said never mind this isn't the first time we had issues with this Restaurant they over charge on Taxes every time it's always different if you order the same thing every time they charge what they want on tax .. people at work even talk about this issue my grandson has brought that to there attention once as well !! read more

This place is nothing to write home about. Although the wait staff was prompt and friendly, the food was extremely bland. The salsa and queso was most likely from a jar, and they gave our party of 2 about a handful of tortilla chips. Everything tasted the same - no flavor whatsoever. Husband had soft tacos, I had fundido with beef tips. You couldn't tell the difference between the two. Also, this place is extremely crowded. We had a rude family stand and chat beside our table for the entire duration of our meal - their backsides were hovering precariously near our queso, and yet they thought nothing of it. Although this is not the fault of the restaurant - just saying the place is very small. This includes the parking lot. Also, they don't serve alcohol. Go somewhere else for your margaritas and Dos Equis. Lincolnton is weird like that. read more

Very good food. The chips are perfectly thin and crisp and the mild salsa is very nice and fresh. Just basic salsa without all the unnecessary chunkiness. The kids and grownups all enjoy it. The prices are fair and the menu is simple. The queso and rice are also very good. They do a good job keeping the basics delicious and simple and the staff is very attentive and kind. It's a sure-bet Mexican restaurant with decent prices. I look forward to coming back! read more

Their food is absolutely amazing! I tried it for the first time not too long ago and it was perfect! The guacamole was chunky and tasty. I got the quesadilla and the cheese they use is perfect and served with rice and beans. I will definitely be returning! read more

The staff here is exceptional and the place is very clean and comfortable. I love the fact that they offer a great hot salsa for those who want some heat. The food is good and extremely affordable. It's a no fuss down to earth restaurant and they do a great job. They do have Taco Tuesdays which is great for those of us want then crunchy or soft. Highly recommended. read more

Some of the best Mexican food I've had. The food is always fresh and gets served up quickly. The staff is always attentive and kind. I usually get a bean burrito, cheese enchilada or the chicken chimichanga. All three dishes are delicious and the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese always taste fresh, like they were cut that morning. read more

99 cent taco Tuesday! Can't beat that. Or grab the ACP (Arroz Con Pollo). Yummy chicken, rice, and cheese sauce. Don't forget the homemade guacamole!!! read more

Great food. They give you a very generous amount of food. It's not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. The person who took the order did not speak English and it made ordering very difficult but that's kind of to be expected when it's a Mexican food restaurant. Overall a nice place. read more

We went on taco Tuesday! $0.99 tacos! Great food, great service! No beer which was disappointing, but we enjoyed the food!

I agree with Mimi I. The service was prompt and friendly but the food was bland and disappointing. I wanted cheese enchiladas with red cheese sauce and they brought me white cheese sauce with a side of red enchilada sauce that tasted like nothing. My husband's meal, chili rellenos, was just as bland, stuffed with bland ground beef (we hope) and he was expecting cheese. No bueno. read more

The reason they are crowded is because they have the best food and service in Lincolnton! We have been going to Mazatlan for years and we are always greeted politely and served quickly. You can't beat Taco Tuesday when their tacos are just .99 and beat the pants off of Taco Bell to boot. The staff are sweet people and I can't think one thing I dislike about them. They have a wonderful family atmosphere and do just fine without selling alcohol! read more

Food very good, fresh tasting, and cheap. Good to being you friends or family to eat. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because their takeout orders aren't up to the same standard as dining in. If you ask for no peppers, no onions, stuff like that, you'll probably end up with those things still on your takeout order. However, nothing like this has ever happened while dining in, in the many years I've eaten here read more

They always remember my face and my order no matter how often or infrequent I show up.

I dont understand the negative reviews saying the food is bland. I have been eating here for years and the service is outstanding. They make the food fresh to order and it's always excellent. I came with a group of 5 people and my waitress didn't understand anything we were trying to say. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times. Then when our food finally came out half of it was wrong. We sent one order back and it came back right. The second order we sent back because it had a hair in it came back with the wrong meat in it. Throughout my visit we had empty drinks and had to ask for refills. The waitress even at one point touched our food with her bare hand. I do not recommend. read more

Multiple items of my order were left off and were never brought to me. Trying to order was a large hassle because the staff could not understand me very well. In addition, the food was not very good and I quickly lost my appetite. The place was also very crowded with little to no parking spaces. read more
