A very confusing place but with surprisingly good tacos. I went in to place a to go order but they told me I had to yes the drive through although I didn't have a car. Apparently I wasn't the only one. I got out and got in line behind a couple in a golf cart and after a few minutes the end of the line pisition was assumed by a kid on a bike. The people who worked there were very nice but with the language barrier I couldn't tell if there margaritas were made from scratch or from a mix so I didn't order one although I was impressed one could receive alcohol to go. Yesterday my daughter ordered a plate called "streak encabollado". She said as soon as she tried the meat it did not taste right. She still decided to try another piece and just ignored it. She couldn't handle the taste and she'd just thought she was used to another Mexican restaurants cooking. She took it home and I took it as my lunch. When I heated it it tasted extremely horrible. The meat was obviously bad. I'm saying this just to let people know it might not be your taste buds but it could be the food. Ayer mi hija pidió un plato llamado "encabollado de carne". Maiden does not have a huge variety when it comes to restaurants, so I was excited to see this Mexican restaurant open up. We visited on a day when no one else was in the restaurant, so perhaps that was my first clue? The waiter who seated us was brusque, but ended up bringing us everything we needed in a timely manner. He wasn't the friendliest, and carried on a loud phone conversation for most of our visit, and while he was waiting on our table. The food was good. It wasn't great, but it was good. The salsa was fine, not the best I've had. The chips tasted as if they were cooked in old oil. The cheese dip was really good, thin and creamy. The chimichanga was just fine. The interior was surprisingly clean for such an old building. They've really done a great job with what they had to work with inside, even the bright paint colors work. We'll be back to see if this was an off visit since it was close to Christmas, but for now, this is a middle of the road experience. read more

We went here for the first time today, but it won't be our last! It was a Tuesday and we found unadvertised Taco Tuesday. Hard shell $.99 and soft shell $1.50. These are the best we've found in the area. Service was great. Wait staff was attentive and brought more salsa before ours was even gone. The portions were large and the delicious. I had th tacos and my husband had the chimichanga. The atmosphere is nothing special, but that's not we are looking for. Margaritas are great too! read more

If there were 10 stars, 3 Hermanos would instantly deserve them. This place is the best Mexican restaurant in Catawba County! The cheese dip has the best flavor & is always hot when it comes out. The street tacos are perfectly cooked & assembled. The cilantro is just the right amount to where you know it's there but it's not over powering. They have a good sized menu to choose from, these were our choices today. We have had many other items & everything is always perfect when it hits the table. Service is super fast & friendly. Two adults with a large cheese dip, 2 entrees, & usually 2 bar drinks a piece is always under $65 which includes leftovers to take home & enjoy. I have been to this location twice. First time great molcajete experience food awesome. The atmosphere was colorful and inviting inside.Was very excited to try them agin. The second time, we had an older gentleman as a waiter. Our waiter seemed to ignore our table a lot. Was very difficult to even wave him down. We actually had to jump out in front of him in passing to stop him just to pay our check after waiting and waiting. We had to keep asking him to bring the sides that came with our meals several times. Some things never got to our table until we asked for them agin to go home in a to go box. When we received the bill he charged us extra for the items that were to come with the meals. Our food was good, but the portion amount was very light in my molcajete bowl, compared to my first visit. Was very disappointed considering this is one of the most expensive items on the menu. There was barely any Chorizo in my dish and that is why I ordered this dish. I would not say that if you go to this restaurant you will be disappointed there are better servers and I assume a better chef last week. Just be prepared for the possibility of a bad experience, and make sure that you check Your bill for extra charges especially if you have to ask for items that go with your food in the first place. Oh, you are only allowed 2 Tortilla's even when you pay for a large meal then you pay around $.80 each one. Seems like for the price a few more would have came with my meal. read more

The waiters and watresses are exceptional, and professional, the food is amazing and taste as authentic as mexican food from California considering I use to live out there for 33 years. We order takeout from 3 Hermanos around one a week, or maybe two. The cheese dip is magical. Good salsa. The chimichanga is great, my daughter loves the cheese enchilada. The guacamole dip is not as good as guacamole Fresca, which IS GREAT. Drive up window makes Covid times pickup a breeze. read more

Been 3 times and really wanted to like this place but I was disappointed each time. I am the first to admit that I can be a little bit tough on Mexican restaurants but being raised in Texas can do that for ya. The live music I heard 2 of the 3 visits (same guy) I thought it was terrific and was right up my wheelhouse when it came to classic rock however, out of place in a Mexican restaurant. I'd love to know which bars he's playing in as I'd go listen to him all the time! Back to the food; I'm not a fan of El Paso and I would rank Hermanos a notch below... 1.5-2 stars at best. So I will continue driving to Lincolnton and enjoying El Reys which is by far the best in this area that I have found. If anyone can suggest any other spot, hole in the wall or such, I would truly appreciate it. The food truck at the gas station next to BP off Fairgrove & 40 shutdown or moved following a failed attempt at a restaurant across from Wendy's. Stopped in for lunch for a bite to eat. I had the lunch special of two chicken enchiladas, rice and salad. The price is excellent and so was the food. Very well with the money. To start with the service was good, waiter refilling drinks, etc., doing what he should. I made a mistake and got the two beef taco dinner. Visually,they were under filled, pre made shells, with ground beef, lettuce and cheese. The beef was like flavorless paste. No flavor at all.
