I've been in East TX for 7 years and Marshall has been the town I have yet to explore. Pietro's is…read morelocated on the main strip downtown and it is in a quaint part of town. Very lovely area - so we were excited to give this a try. Everything here was pretty good, fresh, and flavorful. The service was attentive and provided good recommendations. I wasn't the biggest fan of the pizza due to the crust. Hard to compare to Crust and Crumb in White Oak. If you're in Marshall, certainly give this a try. It won't be a home run, but you won't be disappointed.

This is one of my favorite places for pizza! I wouldn't recommend it during the holidays,…read moreespecially with Wonderland of Lights going on, only because they don't take reservations and we tried to go on a Saturday night and they wouldn't take our party of 8 due to limited seating. Any other time we've gone, we've been immediately seated. The service is always very attentive and on point. I love the open kitchen where you can see them making the pizzas. I liked the caprese with mozzarella, but my husband didn't like the basil. I wish it had a little more balsamic and olive oil, but a pinch of salt really brings it all together. Coming from an Italian family, I wouldn't get the meatball sub again. My husband loved it, but I didn't like the meatball's taste or texture. It is a big portion though so it's a good value if you're not picky about meatballs. The real reason we come is for the pizza. It's so good! The crust is crispy and garlicky, the cheese is melty, the Italian sauce has that classic fresh and acidic touch, and it's so flavorful. We drive almost 40 minutes just for this pizza. It's definitely worth the try!
