And this is after I requested the refill through the patient portal several times. Seriously? No other doctor or NP or PA could do this? It gets better. So last year I made an appointment for a couple of months later since that's what was available and this was also done online. Well, even though I received appointment confirmation, it was never put on the calendar on their end. This is mostly the incompetency of the support staff, however, I believe it reflects on the doctor. All I can say is good thing I'm not terminally ill. Not worth it. Stay clear of this office

I have to deduct a star though, because she is one of those doctors who relies purely on BMI charts to determine whether a patient is "healthy." Conversely, my resting pulse is 56, I can run a mile in a little over 7 minutes, and my dimensions are 33-25-34.5*. I really loathe doctors and their blind reliance on BMI charts, it's like giving a baby a hammer and everything becomes a nail. *Maybe I've won the title of World's Fittest and Petite Overweight Person!

Another thing I found odd was that when I was waiting to see Dr. Cummins, the older receptionist starts telling me about Dr. Cummins's illustrious educational background. ???? Who does that?!!?? It's as if she wants to justify his $185 fee to non-insured patients. If I had to do it over again, I would see another opthamalogist or optometrist (not optician.)

The waiting room always seems to be packed, so bring a book or magazines with you (unless you love reading AARP Magazine). I've noticed that when the wait is especially long, that Dr. Laufer has been a bit rushed in speaking with me, but his exams are still thorough. He has always kept an eye on anything unusual with my skin (apparently people in their 20s are not immune to melanoma) and he urges his patients to stop using indoor tanning booths. He's an interesting doctor - he's a vegan and I've followed some of what he does nutrition-wise (on my own accord, not because he told me to) and have noticed a significant improvement in my skin. He also converted his car, which originally ran on diesel, to run on filtered vegetable oil. So cool. He's awesome.

I'm not going to say they're the shining beacon of reception, but I've got no complaints. If you have to leave a message they call you back promptly, and I've had no issues with communication. Dr. Lasser, though, is awesome. He is exactly the balance between "Oh, don't worry about it, it's gonna be fine" and "This is actually something you need to do something about." We're pretty laissez-faire kids-are-made-of-rubber parents, and if we had a chicken little pediatrician who was always trying to medicate and intervene, that would irritate me... on the other hand if he was always saying to do nothing, I'd worry he wasn't being attentive or well-enough informed. Instead it's perfect--if Lasser says I need to do something for the kids, I have no second guesses. And when he says let it ride, I have no second guesses. Really.

I've had a nurse rudely tell me in a waiting room full of people to not be late because it effects all future appointments of the day the very first time I ran only minutes behind(in a much scornful way) to which I replied "I understand but there's never been a time I've had to wait less than a half hour to be seen" and she then bickered with me, yes, in front of the full waiting room of people (I'm sure would agree) and yes, in front of my kids. She was so rude I almost considered changing my Dr then and there but like I said, good doctor. The receptionist was once unnecessarily rude to me when I called to make an appt as well. So if you don't mind waiting crazy long with your children and can stand his pissy minions to see this great doctor then he's a good pick.

There is only one doctor I want to critique at the practice:…read more DR STEVEN ROCKER is a total ASSHOLE. This comment is based on not just one but several visits to see him. I felt sorry for him because he is old and extremely grumpy. I thought I would be kind and connect with him - in other words I was very generous to him, thinking maybe others don't smile at him enough. I was stupid. His bedside manner is off the charts hideous. He completely ignores eye contact, doesn't smile or say hello in a friendly manner. He is all business and stares for the most part at his laptop. There are real indications about this guy that worrying. So I was - mistakenly- always kind to him. But one day he let loose and dumped on me in the most unprofessional way. He assumed I expected to see him without an a pointment. I did not at all - there was a miscommunication with him and his nurse who ok'd me to speak to him. The anger that burst from him and the accusatory way he spoke was stunning. I spoke to two other physicians about what happened and both said the confrontational manner he used was utterly inappropriate. One said he should not be practicing at all. I agree. He shouldn't be seeing people with such a hideously insensitive manner. He wasn't able or willing to listen to what happened or that his nurse had told me to go into the consultation room. The only reason you should ever book an appointment with this guy is if you are desperate

I was honestly going to say something but I really just wanted to get out of there. Other than that though she was really nice and helpful to an extent. The front desk, although was nice to an extent, was very not helpful. I tried to get them to talk with my insurance company because they were trying to bill me when I was not supposed to pay and she's like oh we're not allowed to talk on the cell phones I'm just like it's my insurance company and they would just like to talk to you to make sure that you're not billing the incorrect code she refused to speak to my company and I had to dictate what they were saying over the phone to her. When I ask them for a code to give to my company to enter in for the information all they could say was we're not a hospital we don't have those codes and it took them at least five minutes to give me a code that was not exactly the one that I needed.
