Started going to this place a few months ago and after my first two experiences it was THE pizza place. I really didn't care to try any other pizza joint because it was that good. Fast forward to this weekend and that is a completely different story. Pizza was bland, topping were skimpy and for what we paid I was extremely disappointed. We have a million pizza places around here but we like to give every "new" place a chance. It did not disappoint! I will mention that I grew up in a predominantly Italian area and we had access to the best pizza and calamari. I lowered my expectations when I moved west! Well I had the Fried calamari and it brought me right back! It was legit and served with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce just like it should be. It was tender and crispy! I barely shared and my kids were mad. Fortunately we had also ordered the fried veggies and they were really good too. We also had a grilled calamari another night and it was also delicious. That night we also had linguine with clam sauce and I will say there was waaayyy too much garlic and you couldn't even taste the clams even though there were a lot of chopped pieces. I couldn't eat it but if you like heavy garlic you might like it! Now for the main event-the pizza!! It was REALLY GOOD! We got the thin crust with sausage and onion and one just cheese. It's thin and crispy with really tasty sauce and the right amount of cheese. We also got a stuffed sausage that was also really good. My 89 year-old father-in-law who is a native Italian was in heaven! Of course he was up all night according to mother-in-law because he over-ate but hey at 89 he should be able to eat what he wants! He couldn't stop eating because the food was so good and she kept smacking his hand. The service is friendly and it's family owned and we will definitely support them regularly! read more

Ordered last night and picked up - this is definitely a pizza place - so many types of pizzas but I was excited to see Eggplant Parm as a meal. I ordered breaded zucchini - excellent! The meal came with a side salad that had onions and olives on it - very good. Also a nice large piece of garlic bread. The eggplant wasn't my favorite - the sauce and the mostaccioli were VERY good - the eggplant was just under cooked I think. I'll definitely order from here again but I think I'll try the pizza next time. Pick up was very easy. read more

Pizza was very good, maybe the best in the area and I've had several. I would give 5 stars but the mozzarella sticks were pretty basic and seemed undercooked. This was our first time trying Joseph's Pizza Cucina since the new owners took over and we loved it. We did take out... COVID. We got the 18" and it was perfect for four adults. We had a couple slices left over. We got the thin crust and really enjoyed it. We also grabbed a couple cannolis for dessert and they finished the meal off perfectly. We used to love this place and would order almost weekly. Prices have gotten a bit much, for one pizza( 4 toppings) and an app we are paying $75.. then the math doesn't add up to the prices listed online. Every time we order online they "adjust" our payment for more money but no explanation. The last time we ordered they got our order wrong. When we called to fix it they told us it was our fault and did nothing to fix it. From being in the food industry it was just really poor customer service. They were also very rude. The delivery drivers are always super nice tho! We will go back to Taylor street now. read more

Possibly the best pizza I've ever eaten! The crust was just the right amount of thin. The Italian sausage was perfectly flavored and slightly spicy. The steak sandwich on garlic bread is amazing! We saw their advertising on Facebook and thought we would give them a try. They are a 25 minute drive from our house but well worth the trip! So are we've tried pizza, wings, pasta, cheese filled breadsticks and sandwiches and the only time we were disappointed was when we accidentally ordered the wrong thing online....but even though it wasn't what we intended to order it was still good. I've only ordered from here a few times now, but it's very good. I had a tooth pulled today so I need to eat soft foods and had a craving for fettuccine Alfredo. I got that and it was really very good. We also got a pizza and cauliflower. Both were good, the pizza for me is a little too chewy, but good tasting. The only thing that wasn't very good were the apple sticks dessert. They are obviously not home made, and they had a really plastic taste to them, almost like freezer burn. We wouldn't order those again, but we will for sure order from here again. By the way, they delivered to Geneva and the delivery guy was so nice. read more

The pizza was REALLY good from here. Calzones are huge and delicious. Only complaint is the wait. Was told 45 minutes for my order of 1 large pizza and 2 calzones, and wait was actually 1 hour and 15 min. That's a long time for a takeout pizza order in my opinion. Me and my friends usually order our pizza here over the weekends. Service: Consistently friendly service. Pizzas are cooked surprisingly fast if you don't order a deep dish. We ordered 3 thin crust Extra Large pizzas and they were ready in 20 minutes! They are very strict about their coupons. Never lose the menu coupons they give out and make sure they don't forget to hand you one! The amount of money you save off their pricey menu is well worth remembering. Food: Consistently made Pizza. Nothing special, but edible enough to not be disappointed. The pizza is very greasy with some of my friends dabbing the grease off with napkins. The ingredients are satisfactory, but I always feel that the pizza is a tad bit overpriced. I have had much bigger "Extra Large" Pizza well above the 18 inch mark. The wings we usually order are tender and juicy. It is satisfying and they give you plenty of Blue Cheese or Ranch. They are very generous with Wing sauce as well. We will probably keep on ordering here because it is within walking distance of us, but there are better pizza places in the area. I might decide to update this review once I try a specialty deep dish from here. read more

Had a slice yesterday afternoon and was disappointed to say the least. To start I'm used to the double dough slices the old owners use to sell for $5, not a very thin small slice for the same price. There was not a lot of flavor at all. Sauce was bland and tasted just like regular marinara. The crust was very yeasty tasting and chewy. The cheese left an oily feeling in my mouth after my bites. I really enjoy this little family owned shop in Wasco- and love the people who work there. We typically order for pick up as it is right near my parents house, so I have never eaten in the restaurant. Pizza Cucina has one of my favorite thin crust pizzas in the area- and the produce and meat they use is a good quality. Ordering pizza is always quite expensive in this area- but I believe that Pizza Cucina is competitive for quality. The only other items I've eaten here are appetizers- breaded mushrooms and fried ravioli are all good too! If you are in the area, you should definitely check this place out. read more

Someone recently sent us a dinner from here which was very good so we decided to order again. The meal was outstanding! We had the ribs and lasagna. Probably some of the best ribs we've had. We did not realize this restaurant had been taken over and is a small family owned business. We will now be supporting them often and making it one of our favorite take out places. Horrbile! ! We used to buy from them over a year ago and stoped because it wasn't as good anymore. We thought we would try one my time, we ordered online at10pm on a Saturday night - and what a big mistake! The ground beef on the pizza was cold but had melted cheese over it and so my husband could not eat it as he said the meat is cold. My small pizza was to be a Califlour crust and it was hard as a rock and the order of fries were cold and the lasagne was not good. it cost $70. My husband called at 11:03 pm right after the pizza arrived and the place was closed at 11. we left a message as it was forwarded to a voice mail. I called and spoke to the owner the next day and she said she can give me $10 off next time. I said the food was not edible and it cost $70, she said if I would of called right away she could of did something, I then said you guys closed and didnt answer. Everybody needs to understand that all the reviews prior to the beginning of 2020 are based on the PREVIOUS business (Pizza Cucina) which was under different ownership/management. As of early 2020 the business was taken over under new ownership/management (Joseph's Pizza Cucina) which had been previously operating in Glendale Heights. My wife and I used to order from the OLD place prior to 2020 but at some point in time, consistency became a problem (Different people cooking? Changes in their recipes?). Who knows? All we can say is that we became unhappy and stopped ordering. When we heard Joseph's opened... we decided to give the NEW place a try. Hallelujah!
