Woooosaaahhhhh..... Is how I felt after my massage with Joseph! After driving to Austin 25 hours from Maryland and sleeping on air mattress, I was in desperate need of some help--particularly on my back. Joseph utilized a harder pressure (my preference), pinpointing my problem areas with precision and ease; long, slower movements truly enabled me to release a lot of the tension I was holding. He also used cupping which I had never had before--LOVED it! I could feel myself becoming more relaxed with every cup movement and release; he even used them on my legs and neck which was out of this world. Something that I wasn't anticipating was how sore my legs actually were... I thought it was all back but Joseph took extra time to address the problem areas on my legs, making me aware of how it's all connected. By the time I flipped over and he massaged my arms and scalp I was basically a pile of happy gelatin, proudly covered in cupping marks and ready for a satiating nap! I would highly recommend Joseph for his unparalleled skills, level of comfortability, attention to detail and his clients' needs, professionalism and ability to seriously and rapidly make your body feel new again. I will absolutely be back soon, perhaps even to try some face cupping! My mind and body thank you, Joseph! read more

I met Joseph as a co-worker and can attest that he's a great guy as well as a talented, caring therapist. I loved my 90 minute session with him, he provided relief in my trouble areas that has continued for weeks since. He's an excellent deep tissue specialist with a relaxing quality of touch. He has a loyal following for a reason! I think the cupping he did helped a lot. He also incorporated some table Thai (ask if it's right for you!) and a thorough foot scrub treatment. His space is easy to find and park, his room is clean and spacious. Joseph is always adding new techniques to his toolbox to help his clients, and I always look forward to receiving work from him. He's a gem! read more

Hot stones? Silicone cupping? What tha bleep?!! Just had the best 90 minute massage of my life! It's been close to a year since my last massage, but that's actually a good thing since I primarily got a massage whenever I had a migraine. I decided to be proactive now and, hopefully, prevent future migraines by managing my wellness plan and making massages a part of it. Joseph was very professional and offered explanations for topics that would've otherwise been avoided at a regular massage mill. If you're looking for a great small business to support, you definitely have to give Joseph a call. You won't be disappointed, that I can guaranty! And tell him Gilbert sent you. :D read more

Joseph Chen is amazing! I'm seeing him for my prenatal massages and it's been great! He's really been able to help relieve the tension from both the physical and emotional toll of being pregnant. He has this great pregnancy pillow that makes it really comfortable during the massage and it even has a spot for your breasts so they aren't being smashed on the table (not fun with sore, pregnant breasts)! Joseph is able to custom tailor massages to really concentrate on problem areas and is very knowledgeable in how the body works through massage. I highly recommend Joseph for prenatal and non-prenatal massages! read more

What a perfect way to start the weekend with a 90 minute massage. I am a true believer of first impression and Joseph really out did himself. I am a very picky individual and I didn't have to ask for anything. Joseph knew the right music to play, the perfect lighting and the right attitude. Joseph has a special gift and his knowledge for medicine was appreciated and I put my trust into him. I will definitely be back and I always enjoy supporting small businesses. What ever your need is I trust that he can accommodate. read more

I have had hundreds of massages throughout the years and Joseph is hands down the best. I always go to him when I have any pain or issue and his array of massage skills always works out any muscle pain I may have. I'm about to start on a monthly plan so I can maintain my pain-free state in a preventative way. I do weight training and yoga 3-4 times a week and massage is certainly something that is much needed. Joseph is always very knowledgeable and flexible on working around my hectic schedule. Highly highly recommend! read more

I went to see Joseph yesterday and was amazed by his techniques and his deep tissue pressure as well as his knowledge of the body and how he knew exactly what to work based on our discussion before the session. After the massage I felt so renewed and slept like a baby that night. I am so glad that I have finally found someone that is not at a chain and only doing protocol and can actually work on things that need to be addressed rather than the standard issue massage. If you have not seen Joseph you need to quickly. read more

Went to see Joseph yesterday afternoon. He was great. I've many lower back issues and have seen many massage therapists. He employs techniques that, in my experience, the majority of therapists do not. Myofascial release (MFR) and cupping are examples of such techniques. Today, I feel loose and am ready to conquer the day. If you need a therapists who knows the craft well, he's your guy. read more
