Interesting menu, bright wide open space with the second floor and windows on two sides that bringing lots of daylight. The menu has salads with warm shrimp or chicken, a dig a station of grilled provolone cheese, your usual meets with slight twists like a eggplant dip on top of your roasted potatoes with your steak. They bring a bread basket with two slices of tomato focaccia, two slices of a cherry wheat bread, one dense white roll and a slice if a soft white bread. It was served with a pickle aioli topped with shredded marinated carrots. Very light and fresh. We tried the empanadas (3 for $155) and they were made with chopped beef and lots of smoky paprika. It was almost too flavorful and great with the pickle aioli. The warm langoustine salad had only five langoustines (which were nicely seasoned and perfectly tender) but lots of arugula and frisée. The arugula was a bit overpowering versus the langoustines. It had 3 thin slices of grilled peach and 3 thin slices of avocado. It also had about 10 cherry tomatoes and two long homemade breadsticks. The salad was lightly dressed in a lemon vinaigrette. Very fresh, light salad. We also had the small ribeye with roasted potatoes topped with an eggplant spread and a small salad. All great flavors. We had asked for the ribeye to come without the cheese but they forgot. We took it off and ate it separately. Service was friendly and efficient. Certainly a modern version if an Argentinean steakhouse. read more

Place gets full around 9:30 pm, so if you eat early you'll be lucky to get a tablee, we arrived at 9:00 pm. Great atmosphere and decor. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The food presentation is amazing but I must say the food is just okay but nothing to rave about. I think it's just a popular place for some locals and recommend it to tourists. read more

Josefina Resto is upscale and trendy in a way that makes it feel as if it belong back in Seattle. As a final dinner in Mendoza, a friend and I popped in for a nice, last meal of our vacation. The neighborhood of Josefina is trendy and scattered with bars and pubs that make for an easy way home via bar-hopping, so that's a plus. It was walkable from our Air B&B, which was at the heart of central Mendoza. We had 8:00pm reservations, but being in a strange-time zone and early-eaters by nature, we decided to pop in early to see if they would accomodate us. Much to our pleasure, Josefina was open by 7:30pm (which is quite early for Mendoza!) and happy to accomodate us early. The interior is modern and cool in the way that you are captivated by the interior before you can even study the menu. Interesting lighting fixtures punctuate the ceiling and wallpaper of various food and culture themes tastefully adorn the walls. Our server was polite, professional and prompt. I began with a glass of sparkling rose and B enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc while we decided on entrees. The menu has descriptions in Spanish, English and Portuguese, which is always nice. I chose the mixed green salads with pomegranate, toasted almonds, tomato and asparagus dressed in a simple oil and vinegar. B chose the gnocchi with a mushroom cream sauce. They brough us out a variety of complimentary warm breads that far surpassed any offering of the sort we'd had before. There were several slices of each a whole wheat artisan bread, a focaccia with rosemary and tomatoes, quality dinner rolls and simple, fresh white bread. Our entrees followed immediately after (and quite quickly overall!). My salad was a generous portion and both dishes were visually pleasing. I devoured the fresh, crips salad and it was wonderfully light compared to the portions I had became accustomed to the prior week! The ripe pomegranate was a great contrast to the savory vegetables and the amount of dressing was just right. To say I was satisfied is an understatement. A note for veg-heads: The menu was limited for non-meat eaters, but there are a few dishes available and I am confident they would all be great! I would recommend this place to locals and visitors alike. read more

Wine selection is massive. Food is fresh and unbelievable! Popular times require a reservation. This place is awesome. Service is great (Lucas was great), food wonderful and nice ambiance. We came with a party of 7 without reservations. It was early so the place was empty. After we seat it became really busy but we still had great service. We had a couple of different entrees and they were all great: black spaghetti with lagostim, ribeye and beef ribs . I highly recommend the beef ribs with veggies and the spaghetti negro with lagostim. I'll come back for sure. read more

Josefina was an amazing experience. They had quick service, were very accommodating and patient, and had delicious food. I had the ojo de bife and my boyfriend had the churrasco, (mine was better). The provoleta was the best by far we had had in argentina! The restaurant itself is clean and gorgeous. Its also super easy to put your name down on their website which we did on a saturday night and it worked out beautifully. I think this was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Argentina, and I've been to plenty. The restaurant is located on one of the busiest streets of Mendoza as far as nightlife goes, so it's pretty easy to find. They have a pretty good wine list and the menu is extensive. Many vegetarian options are available and they are not the boring kind ones. I had a salad with roasted beets and my husband had a lamb entree, and both were great, really interesting (and delicious) ingredients combinations and served beautifully! read more

This place started out BAD for us from the parking lot! As we're backing into a space a white Honda CR-V decided to just cut us off & zip into the space as we're backing in! No apologies, no - oh I'm sorry or could have waited, maybe! As we guessed she must be the rude & unpleasant owner we heard about! So we disregard that & walk into the place. We tell the bartender we HV RSVP he says sure sit anywhere. We decided to sit at the 2 top close to the window. Waiter approaches us with the menus. Within 3 minutes of that another waiter comes by & says u have to move cuz this table is reserved, mind u no sign that said that & as we sat no 1 mentioned that either! So guess who walks up 2 us? Rude & obnoxious lady in the parking lot "the owner" Ana, I think that's what she said. I'm sorry she says to my husband ur going to have to move cuz this table is reserved for these 2 ladies that were waiting. My husband already had a bad taste in his mouth from this rude person in the lot & said "if u move me I'm going to walk out"! Her response was "well I guess ur gonna have to leave then". Who in the right mind says that to a new client? Are u kidding me? As an owner she really didn't care how she treats her clients. Customer service is not #1 in this establishment. POS!!!! If the service is this bad just imagine how the food is!! Would not recommend nor go back to this dump!
