First day in Mandoza and out for brunch. We ordered the eggplant ravioli and pesto pasta. Both were excellent. Many vegetarian options to choose from. The decor is very cool and modern. Outdoor seating is available but there is construction on the street today.

Place gets full around 9:30 pm, so if you eat early you'll be lucky to get a tablee, we arrived at 9:00 pm. Great atmosphere and decor. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The food presentation is amazing but I must say the food is just okay but nothing to rave about. I think it's just a popular place for some locals and recommend it to tourists.

We stayed in central Mendoza and it was only a six minute walk from our hotel. The inside has a gorgeous ambiance with several tables for two or four. It's very nicely decorated! We chose to go with the four course meal when making our reservation and it's a good thing we did because it was SO much food!! The food itself was excellent and the rib eye might be the best I've ever had. Each course was lovely and they did a great job of explaining the ingredients to us. We also got the wine pairing with each course. We ended the night with coffee and petit fours. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone going to Mendoza! It's delicious and reasonably priced for the quality and experience!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last night at Azafrán…read more The space is beautiful, the staff -- reservations, host, sommelier and waiter Valentina -- was super helpful. We opted for the four-course tasting menu. (The seven course option is just too much for me.) My wife had the wine pairings; I had a glass of fabulous local Cabernet Sauvignon with the main course. I assume the menu changes with seasons so I won't bore you with descriptions except to say that each was lovely. There was an emphasis on local dishes deconstructed and put back together by a Michelin one-star chef. All in all, it was a lovely meal, in beautiful ambience, with amazing service. And a very happy anniversary. One tip: the restaurant's website indicated they were fully booked. I sent a WhatsApp message and it turned out they indeed had a table available.
