We stopped in here today for lunch and based on the portion sizes of food that we've been getting, we decided that we would share an appetizer and an entrée this time We ended up ordering the vegetable soup and the grilled chicken plate. I am from the US and I think the restaurant consistently took advantage of me several times in the last month by adding a tip to my credit card even when I pay them with cash as well. And it feels as if they're using an honest mistake to what I feel is ripping me off. Several times in a row. I will respectfully state that I feel this restaurant is crooked consistently and I definitely will not recommend it!!! Wait : none with walk in. It's pretty big. Also accept rsvp Service : fantastic, they understand some English but easier with Italian. Accept credit card or euro or dollars. Might not get that much help with menu if you speak only English. They do have menu written in English Food : spectacular, we got a steak, pork sausage and a bottle of wine. Well marinated, well cooked and it's one of the best steak I've had in Argentina. Price : it's very cheap compared with chicago, but in an expensive side for Mendoza. It's worth it though. I was looking for a place that offer Caesar salad and this place has it on the menu. The price point is very reasonable. The location and decor is nice. I was there early so I can pick a seat. The first seat I pulled had food crumbs on the chair so I went to the next one which had less crumbs. I love the bread basket and the spread that came with it. I ordered Caesar salad. I did not expected Caesar to come with grilled chicken so I also ordered garlic shrimp. Garlic shrimp was made with generous portion of wonderful red Argentinian shrimps and came with mashed potato. Although Caesar portion was huge, grilled chicken was very dry and hard (hence only 3 stars despite all other positive experiences I had). Overall, if I'm in the area again, I might stop by for their pasta or garlic shrimp. read more

Honestly, some of the worst food I have ever had in my life! And no I'm not being dramatic. My partner and I had just arrived to Mendoza after a very long 16 hour flight. We were starving and noticed this place right next to our air bnb. There were a good amount of people there so we thought well hey this must be good if so many people are there! Boy were we wrong. We ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, shrimp cocktail, shrimp in some garlic/butter sauce, and a chicken soup, basically things that would be hard to mess up! Ugh... the shrimp cocktail came in a big martini glass, the shrimp was warm, and was drenched in some kind of mayo cream sauce that was beyond revolting! I only had 2 shrimp... and the two that I had must not have been rinsed well because they had crunchy things in them... I assume sand! The Caesar salad was terrible! Wilted lettuce that was warm, and chicken that was dry! We had asked for cheese on the side, but when we got the salad you could tell they forgot it wasn't supposed to have cheese and tried picking it off and putting it on another plate because the side of cheese we got had chunks of chicken in it at the salad had traces of cheese left... that's just lazy. The shrimp with garlic sauce... I could barely eat one of them! The sauce was so disgusting and did not have a fresh garlic/butter taste! It was a brown sauce and the shrimp was over cooked in it... again with bits of sand in the shrimp! I had to swallow it down with my drink to even just finish the one piece! Probably the worst part of the meal... I almost spit it out in my napkin. Now the chicken soup, you'd think that wouldn't be hard to make right!? Well the chicken was chewy, and the broth had ZERO flavor! In the soup was also peas, and what looked like carrots! It seemed like they just threw in whatever they had left in the kitchen. So tasteless! The staff seemed unaware or they just didn't care at all. They saw we didn't eat our food but still had the nerve to ask if we wanted dessert! They never asked if there was something wrong with the food or anything! The only thing worth finishing there was my Diet Coke. And that's literally all I finished. I don't know why so many people go here? It looks cute and inviting outside but that's all they have going for themselves! There are so many great restaurants in and around Mendoza! And this place isn't cheap either. Well cheap for Mendoza standards. Anyway, don't eat here! I'm hoping someone takes over for this place and puts some love and CARE into the quality! Recommended by a local guide as one of Mendoza's best, and he was right-on. We ate here twice, loved the ambiance (Estancia memorabilia) and the interesting approaches to Argentine comfort food as well as meat.I had a pasta dish with chicken and mushrooms that was excellent. Had to laugh at the writer who was appalled by the "weird organ meats" given that they are basic to Argentine cuisine. Visitors from the U.S. need to read up on Parillas before going to Argentina because Offal can be a major offering among the meats presented. The diversity of the menu and the quality of the tradition (first a visit to the wine cellar, and then order the entrees, etc.) makes this a first-rate Mendoza choice. read more

I will give one star for... location? But zero for the meat. We ordered a "variety" plate for two. It had (drumroll) the chewiest and undercooked ribs, undercooked and smelly sausage, some weird organs, some fatty stuff, undercooked chicken. We came here to try great meat, instead i am leaving and hoping not to get food poisoning. Hmm, really, how hard it is to cook meat at the right temperature??!! I was disappointed with the mediocre Argentinian steak. Plates were DIRTY!! I wiped it with my napkin and all this black soot appeared. Disgusting. The service was ok. Restaurant got pretty packed fairly quickly, so they must be doing something right. The window we sat next to kept vibrating whenever a bus drove by. Sounded like an earthquake. We stumbled upon this place on our first night in Mendoza after our initially restaurant plans fell through as it was a Sunday evening and most places close on Sunday. The local vibe as well as the open kitchen grill was enticing and did not disappoint. For what you pay for the portions are huge and the quality is excellent. We had the pork ribs as well as the bife the chorizo. Both were expertly cooked. The salt crust on the ribs were finger licking good and the steak was oh so juicy! We also had some papas fritas as well as the steamed vegetables which funnily enough came with a hard boiled egg. My only critic would be that our server looked a bit lifeless and followed us to the cashier to make sure we would tip him and that the decor inside is very cheesy and way too yellow in tones. But if you can overlook those things, the food itself was stellar and quality to price ratio could not have been better. And trust me, all we did in our 5 days in Mendoza was eat and drink wine. read more
