For any prospective clients, JJ Jimenez is a fraud, promising "a high quality finish", but in…read morereality delivers the quality of school children painting your home. In addition, he is highly litigious. For poor quality work he demands full payment and will immediate sue rather than correcting work or offering higher quality resources to rectify poor quality. On Scoping: While he promises a "high quality finish in his statements of work, he is vague on what work is scoped and leverages that vague language to claim that work has been satisfactorily completed. On Material Selection He lacks the expertise to select the correct paint for job. For instance he used a matte paint on doors and molding, which is not best practices. If you choose this vendor, you need to inspect all material brought into your house to validate they are using correct material. On Prep Work While his statement of work said all staircases would be covered, they were not. This has resulted in needing to have runners on stairs replaced. His team also fails to properly tape and cover stained wood surfaces. I am currently scoping several thousand dollars of work to have wooden doors and floors sanded and re-stained due to their poor prep work. On overall quality Vendor missed many areas, there was paint destined for floor boards and molding that ended up on walls, missed spots, and drip marks. In addition, his team paints over sanded areas, meaning all surfaces will need to be re-sanded, primed, and repainted On timelines His teams move quickly to the detriment of quality. It was inextricable that prepping and applying 2 quotes would be done in under two days. On customer satisfaction His team doing the work are hard to communicate with and if there are issues both his team and himself are combative with home owners. I would never trust him or his team to be in your home with your wife or children without you present. In addition, rather than doing quality work he would rather sue

I hired Eduardo to fix faux shutters on my house that came loose and fell as the result of a storm…read more This was all the way back in July I believe... I am still waiting for him to finish the job. He showed up on time did the initial work of securing the loose shutter to the home and reapplying the one that had fallen... within one week or so one of the shutters began to come loose already. Meanwhile, I had paid him on time immediately after he contacted me letting me know that the job was complete with a picture. I sent him payment via Zelle. A week later that shutter is now loose and I am trying to contact him to get him to come back out and complete the job that I had paid him for. it took many weeks of texting and cajoling him via iMessage to try and get him to come back out and do the work. He would constantly send me messages saying that he would respond back with a time that he would be able to come out and resolve the issue. he never did. What would happen is I would have to contact him after several days till week to find out if there were any updates and then I would wait days to hear back from him. At one point he did claim to have come back out to the house and fix the shutter work that was not done correctly during his first visit. I mistakenly believed him... Because he said that he had done the work and sent a picture. That very same week the tenant that lives at my property contacted me to let me know that the shutter was still askew and hanging off of the house. Now, I don't know if he actually did the work or if he did such a poor job again that the shutter immediately fell off the house, within a day or two of him having claimed to have fixed the issue. So the original work was done in July and this is probably now mid to late August. I'll go back-and-forth with him trying to get him to come out and do the work, and do a good job with finality that lasts more than several days. Anyhow, I contacted him after being informed the shutter was still falling off the house... And it is now late September and I am still messaging him And he is still responding that he will go back out and fix it or that he will let me know when he will be able to make it back out to my place... And that was days ago. If you're going to do business with this person, I would suggest you get some kind of work guarantee because the work was very shoddy and the customer service has been poor. I paid this guy immediately after he informed me the work was done and within days the work was falling apart. It is now been two months of me trying to text him and Kajol him into coming back out and fixing this issue once and for all. Unfortunately I hired him via Thumbtack app and there is no recourse for me because I paid him in cash electronically via Zelle. At this point I am just out of $180 which is what he charge me to install a shutter that had fallen and to secure another one that was loose. I would not hire this person again. Their work is poor, and their customer service is even worse. All I ever receive so far is empty promises and a wasted $180. I recommend you not hire this person for any handyman work unless you can pay him via credit card or some other avenue that afford you recourse if the job is not done as expected or the quality is short-lived. I wish I hadn't also left him a positive review on thumbtack before his work quite literally fell apart days later.

Zion, our project manager, gave great recommendations and kept up with the project in person every day. The crew chief Armando also gave honest recommendations for what to paint/not paint and came to demonstrate all of the possible colors before the project started. Additionally, they were able to give an extremely competitive estimate, and throughout the project gave estimates for additional work we requested. We hired this company to paint the entire interior of our home, a large and expensive project that…read morewe entrusted to professionals. Within weeks, their work began failing in multiple areas -- most notably in the bathrooms -- and it has only continued to deteriorate. As shown in the photos, the paint is actively peeling, cracking, and separating from the surface along ceilings, corners, and flat wall planes. This is not normal wear, and it is not minor touch-up territory. Entire sections of paint are lifting and flaking off. When we first raised concerns about the secondary bathroom shortly after moving in, their representative dismissed the issue as a "ventilation problem," despite the fact that there were no issues before the repaint and this occurred during summer months. They doubled down on this explanation by claiming the master bathroom would not have the same problem due to its size. That explanation quickly collapsed when the master bathroom -- which is very large and has vaulted ceilings -- developed the same cracking and peeling within a month. This clearly points to incorrect paint selection and/or improper surface preparation, particularly a failure to use bathroom-appropriate, moisture-resistant products. At no point were we advised on paint suitability for bathrooms -- something any competent professional painter should proactively address. We used "premium" paint, yet premium paint applied incorrectly or in the wrong environment still fails, which is exactly what happened here. Equally concerning is the lack of accountability. Despite the amount we had just spent, and despite our willingness to pay to resolve the issue correctly, the company made no meaningful effort to fix their work. Beyond the bathrooms, there are additional quality issues throughout the home: visible cracking along ceiling seams, paint splitting along non-corner joints, and unfinished details. Notably, the kitchen baseboards were never painted, with the explanation that they were "part of the cabinets," which is plainly inaccurate and visible in person. This experience has been extremely disappointing. The workmanship does not meet professional standards, and the refusal to stand behind the work is even more troubling. Based on both the quality of the results and the response when problems arose, I would not recommend this company to anyone investing serious money into their home.
