As a plus sized woman in my mid fifties, I was having a difficult time finding a dress. All the department stores have eliminated or reduced the options in my size. Their sales staff don't have the knowledge of online inventory nor the compassion to offer to help. At Mae's all the staff are anxious to assist you and excited to see you find the right dress. Their custom offerings and expertise made the process of locating and fitting a dress easy and pleasant. I had a very specific vision of a non-white dress that other shops had scoffed at me for or made me feel like just another customer instead of a bride. I came in for my appointment at I Do I Do with my mother and was greeted warmly and then introduced to Tracy Weatherford, who was AMAZING. She showed me a dress that she had pulled for me based on what I had described when I called and made my appointment, which I fall in love with as soon as I tried on! This was not a bridal gown. I tried on many white bridal gowns that were much more expensive after that and she never once tried to sway my opinion toward them! She was very patient in my 1+ hour appointment and gave me the time to stay in my dress and talk things over with my mother. I ended up going with the original non-bridal gown and couldn't be happier. I was able to take the one off the rack and have been assured that we will be able to do extensive alterations (adding sleeves, changing neck and backline) in time for my wedding in a few months. I'm excited to see what the finished product will be!

There were so many beautiful dresses that made me look and feel incredible. When it came time to choose between two that I loved Teuta was not only gentle with me she read my mind! She knew which dress I loved but was worried to say it cause it was a bit different. Man did she me like a book and I'm soooo glad she did. It gave me the courage to say yes to the different dress! And one more important item, DO NOT SLEEP ON THE VEILS. They are showstopping gorgeous. I think we said yes to the veil before we said yes to the dress! At the time of purchase, the owner advised me not to have the gown altered until I was ready to wear it, and I followed that recommendation. This year, when my son's wedding was rescheduled, I returned to Zoya's for alterations. I was extremely disappointed to receive a quote of $1,588, plus an additional $45 for cups. (See below) Although the staff at Zoya's have been pleasant and welcoming, I found the alteration charges to be unreasonably high, particularly compared with prices I had paid elsewhere. For comparison, Maes Boutique charged me $350 to alter another Mother of the Groom gown. Because of the significant difference in pricing, I decided to have the alterations completed by another professional boutique, which is charging me $380 for comparable work. This experience was very disappointing. Customers purchasing high-end gowns should receive clear, fair, and reasonable pricing for alterations and related services. Based on my experience, I cannot and do not recommend Zoya's Boutique. I encourage others to ask about alteration costs in advance and compare prices before making their purchase at Zoya's!!!!!

When I came to pick up my dress, I tried it on and it wasn't as fitted as I was hoping for. I talked to the owner, Le, and said it wasn't to my satisfaction and he was willing to alter it for no additional charge. I have been to other seamstresses who will charge for additional alterations if you are dissatisfied with their service. Although the alterations were higher than other tailor shops I have gone to, their customer satisfaction compensates for it.
