Recently I Went to the Jos a bank twice in cherry hill nj I was there for like 40 mins or so they were working on a new display I wasn't able to find anything that fit me. The manager a female whom I never met was very disrespectful. I explained to her that I was always in there looking for clearance items and specials. She asked me if I was still in the store which I felt offensive. I tried on several pieces but nothing really fit me the way I needed it to. Case in point. I go there all the time never met her or saw her. She only once addressed me to see if I needed help. The other two attendants know me well. I felt very offended by her comments I also felt like I've spent enough money at the store to warrant me looking for what I. Want particular pieces. Thru need some customer service orientation take a page from Ryan Bates who works there and never misses a beat when it comes to his customers. I went to collegeville Pa. Providence town center mall. Met Jo. A manager there her service customer appreciation and candor made a word of difference. I'd rather drive an hour away to that Jos a bank where I'll get the service I deserve. I spent some money there on Black Friday good selections and better pricing along with bags to put your expensive suits in. I also mentioned to the female manager there at cherry hill nj that I had been there a week prior to buy a suit bag my point was that I felt bad about being at the store which that should never happen. read more

I thought Jo was a human being. Apparently he's not. Apparently, Jo's a Bank. Who knew. How can a person be a bank? I haven't figured that out yet. Barbie seemed pretty set on getting me a suit for my citizenship. So I came in here with her in between bubble tea and going to the bank and other stuff. Prices were too high for us, but we got a good look at the selection, which was better than some of the mall locations we tried. Service is nice too, but I guess it would suit us better (pun intended) during a sale. read more

The manager is an idling imp who lacked the decency of looking me in the eye after his team made multiple errors when selecting pants for me and having them fit after 3 separate visits for alterations. I would have been willing to accept the errs, we are all human after all, but it was suggested that I was at fault for my stature when in reality I've maintained the same weight from the first visit. I was later told I should have had my waist and thighs tailored then have it taper to my ankles. The exact thing I did request 6 weeks prior. It seems who handled me initially was new and unseasoned. The manager realized they fucked up and then just paced the store not doing anything while a worker (who was at least direct and nice) said that if the pants can just get me through the event they can replace them after. I hope they don't split. The moto is definitely strong arm people (the manager was doing it to a separate customer prior to me who also did not like his fit either) while reiterating the same few sentences/formula until the person walks out the door. A little bit of out of sight and out of mind. Go to the Philadelphia location instead. I came to this one hoping for a less busy and stressed experience. I was way off. read more

Ignorant, rude, and don't want to work!!!! He actually complained about my husband trying on a shirt and not buying it! He complained about other people too! They should not be there! The people who work at this store made a simple task very difficult for me. Tried on my rental at the store and all the sizes were totally wrong. They blamed me for it, and suggested that I either gained weight or never got measured. Then only reordered my shoes. Luckily the manager Vaughn at the Philadelphia location pulled a miracle for me the day of my wedding, finding items at his store and hemming new pants on the spot. I went to Jos A Bank for new suits because I've always had a good experience with them. I purchased two suits and two blazers and three pairs of slacks. The quality of Jos A Bank suits and blazers has really declined, and I wouldn't buy there again. Jacket linings are loose and poke out the ends of the sleeves when I put the jackets on. After wearing them only a few times there are frayed threads all over the jackets. After dry cleaning the suits once, the shoulders of one of the jackets were asymmetric with the lining all bunched up on one of the shoulders. After initially telling me that there was no asymmetry, even though I was standing there looking at it and pointing it out, the staff finally agreed and suggested that I pay them to put in shoulder pads to even out the shoulders. When I bought the blazers the front buttons were loose, and you could see that the threads were frayed, but the store wouldn't tighten them up because "they're supposed to be like that". Of course, I lost buttons from the front of both jackets. Jos A Bank doesn't sell replacements, so I have to pay to replace all 10 of the buttons on the front and sleeves of both. Overall a disappointing experience from a store that has been my traditional go-to for quality clothing. read more

Purchased a suit from this location for an upcoming family wedding about six weeks in advance. First young lady who helped me out was great and fitted me perfectly. That where it goes down hill, I also purchased a shirt for the occasion the brand new shirt had three dirt spots on it. Then and I understand the suit needed to be altered for fitting. After four week I did not hear a thing from The store so I decided to to call and the next sales person who tried help and said that would get back to me in an hour. So after 8 hours of hearing nothing from the store I stopped in to see what was going on? I have paid for the suit but the Banks store had no idea where it was and a different sales lady had no clue where it was and giving me an attitude about what had happened to my marked up suit for alterations. Then they said they found the suit but the problem is it was a different color and still getting an attitude from the store workers. After a few minutes I was promised the same suit with free alterations right by I am guessing the store manager. Turns out this store has no clue and screwed up my order. When we figured it all out and found the suit the store manager did not keep his promise with the free alterations he had promised to me. Customer beware nice people but don't have a clue and not sorry at all. read more

Very poor customer service. No communication. I am a good customer. Service has gone down hill. Would not recommend.

The customer service here is horrendous. Our sales person was definitely annoyed that he had to help us. Hoping to get rid of us, he took us over to an area that had suits that were way to small for my son. He had absolutely no interest in helping us find the right fit. We had to point out all the flaws in the suits that he was pulling and insist that he help us find the correct size. The suit that we finally picked was missing a button on the pants. Our sales jerk promised that it would be sewn back on when the pants were hemmed. The button was still missing when we picked up the altered suit. If you go to this store needing professional help getting the right fit you will be out of luck. No one cares and you are on your own. You would do much better off shopping at a different store because you are paying for the service and it's provided by sales people who are irritated, clueless and condescending. read more

The worst customer service in America. I called to ask if I could get a replacement button for my suit which I had recently purchased. They told me to come in the next morning. I asked if they had a button that I could sew on and she put me on hold. For over thirty minutes she never got back on the line. I hung up and kept calling back, for 30 minutes the phone was fast busy (off the hook). In the meantime I drove from home to Joann fabrics and bought 100 buttons to see if I could match. On the way home I called the store again. This time a man answered and denied that I was put on hold. These people are losers. They don't represent their company well. Zero tolerance for this type of behavior. I will never buy ANYTHING from Jos A Bank again. Both employees should go work at Chik-Fil-a and learn real customer service. read more

Do NOT use this store for any kind of time-sensitive orders or alterations. TBH I would say don't use it at all because they're unreliable and the staff is a nightmare. We ordered suits for a wedding and needed to get one swapped out for a new jacket size so we went in over a month before the wedding to get it swapped and altered. They had to order a new suit and it came in two days, which was awesome...until they took the alterations and called to say they had ordered the wrong color and had to order another new suit. This one took TEN days to arrive. We went in right away for alterations and they said the next date to pick it up was the day of the wedding because the tailor was on vacation (Idk why the tailor was in vacation for three weeks and they didn't get a replacement tailor). We kindly asked if they could make it happen before then and they said of course, it usually comes early anyway. The wedding is in two days (we are leaving tomorrow) and it just came A DAY AND A HALF BEFORE THE WEDDING after days of calling and asking where it was. Not to mention the paperwork we signed guaranteed delivery a full day before that. I understand mistakes happen and if the customer service from the store employees had been kind and apologetic I could've at least tried to understand. However I have never experienced such rude, arrogant salesmen. When we initially went in to swap the suit the guy who helped us kept blaming the groom (who was there) for ordering the suits incorrectly and chastising us for asking questions. Worst of all he harped nonstop about the size of the suit and made the person who needed it feel awful about themselves (this is the part I am most upset about). Then when we tried to explain that we work all day long and can't just rearrange our days to come get the suit when it's coming in so late and right before the wedding we were told "it's inconvenient for us too" which is not an appropriate thing for a sales person to say to a customer. Overall this was a HORRIBLE experience that could've ruined someone's wedding! read more

I have been here a few times and been very pleased with the selection. During Christmas time the store had a couple great sale specials and we were able to buy some really nice sweaters and dress shirts for family members. I went recently to see if they had any specials and was really impressed with the clearance section. They are probably getting rid of last season's items to prepare for the fall so right now is a great time to go. They had all different shirts and sizes at crazy low prices. If you're not able to afford the standard Jos A Banks retail price like me, check out the clearance section, maybe you'll find something. The staff will be able to orient you with what you're looking for. I've always found them to be really helpful. read more

The worse. Had to get a suit for my buddy's wedding. I asked the guy to leave me a little more room in the jacket since I might be gaining a few pounds by the wedding. When the suit came in I actually lost weight and the jacket was real tight. The wedding was to close to go somewhere else so i has them let the jacket out as much as I could and wasted a lot of money on a suit that is useless now. If I didn't lose weight I would have been screwed because it wouldn't have fit at all. I had wear a really tight suit at the wedding. I was in the wedding. Go somewhere else. read more

Walked out. I entered the place to buy shirts. First off, I only needed shirts for daily work wear so I was not too terribly concerned as to quality. This is good because the traveler series was cheap and poorly made. Aside from this, they had a "sale" with buy one and the second if 1/2 off. Ok, picked up 4 shirts. The girl behind the register asked for my last name. Nope, not giving it. She insisted stating I could not return items without the name. This, of course, is false. A store may, in certain states, require an id WITH a return, but in no case is the id required at the time of purchase. I pointed this out. She was extremely rude and then acted as if I kicked her dog. Oh well. She then tells me that "big and tall" shirts are 65 dollars, not 50. I stated I did not see this so she abruptly turns her back and walks to the sign. She then points to the very small font print that gives the extra charge, saying nothing. It was at this point I walked out. My overall impression is that the place is bottom of the barrel and cheap. The suits are over priced and poorly made. The shirts are junk. The service is poor. I would suggest the Mens Warehouse around the corner. Don't be fooled by the three for one sales. They are simply jacking the price up on one item and making the difference up. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Avoid these guys. read more

Always a good deal to be found here and always great staff. I cannot remember the name of the woman that helped me and it angers me that I forgot her name. She is the M.V.P. though. She spend nearly two hours with me and my girlfriend picking out suits that fit my style my size and the colors I wanted. She did not complain once and she seemed like she was thoroughly enjoying herself through the sale. I would come back not just because they have good deals but because I don't think you will find a more helpful staff person anywhere you go. read more

I have been working with the manager here for my upcoming wedding and she has been great. They have worked to cut me a deal on every item I have purchased. The selection of ties is somewhat limited, because they are limited to their own brand. However the suit selection is great and all other aspects of their service has been exemplary. Don't be afraid to ask for a discount. read more

Wow......how fast things are changing at Jos A Bank not for the better......I purchased 2 suits recently and not the least expensive ones if you know what I mean......I get home and try on my suit.....my pants were a swimming pool after paying for alterations..........all is good until I go back to get resolution by getting them taken in alot more.....I have a feeling that the back pockets will be touching but I m not a tailer........so they do the necessary measurements again.....now here it comes they want to charge me again.......the store manager wanted to charge me again......again also wait an additional two weeks when it took three weeks to get the alterations done when I purchased two suits.....I have purchased shirts and suits from many locations of JAB and I was never treated with poor customer service skills......this saga isn't over I am still waiting for my slacks to be altered......she did through out a possible $50 charge....they can keep the pants and I'll return the jacket and we will part ways forever......this suit may be out of style before I get to wear it...... read more

Jos. A. Banks used to be a quality, customer service driven store in my opinion. Then, this week happened. I was in a wedding party, and we decided to get our suit rentals from this company. The groom picked a suit, and told us how to go about getting fitted and ordering them - no problems here. He was told a price (197~ per person). The problems started on the 16th when we were told to pick up the suits. Every groomsman was supposed to have a paisley blue tie, the groom a bow tie. They gave us all solid blue long ties. Two of the groomsmen weren't given shoes. One of the groomsmen's fitted suit extended past his hands and feet. Every one of us was charged a different price, one about 50 dollars more. Some stores were good at rectifying the situation (particularly Sicklerville and Mt. Laurel).. but the Cherry Hill store was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The sales executive told me they had never ordered my shoes in the first place (even though I had told them my size when getting fitted), and told me the groom didn't want shoes in the package. She told me they would be here the day of the wedding, but I told them that was not okay because I had things to do as a groomsman that day. She guaranteed me that they would be overnighted and at the store at 11 the next day (the day before the wedding). They did not charge me for the shoes, but begrudgingly so. When I got there around 3, there were no shoes - the sales executive was not there, and no one knew what I was talking about. So, the assistant manager called whoever and they told him there was a freak storm that prevented them from being shipped on time. He guaranteed me that someone would be at the store the next morning (now the day of the wedding) at 8 am to assist me and that the shoes would be there at 8 (I asked him this numerous times). I got there (when I was supposed to be helping the groom) and no one was there. At 8:30, a sales associate showed up and had no idea why I was there and the shoes were not their either. They finally showed up at 8:45 on the UPS truck, when I had to be at the wedding at 9. When I went to return my suit today, I spoke with the assistant manager again and told him what happened. HE called me a liar and told me his employee told him she was there at 8am. I informed him that the Sicklerville store gave another groomsman who didn't get his shoes a full refund and again he called me a liar and told me that was because the groom had him down for a free one (which was not the case). He informed me his manager was on vacation and there was nothing he could do because she didn't call him back about the situation. He was not remorseful and did not care that I was upset or dissatisfied, when his business card says "satisfaction guaranteed." All in all, DO NOT EVER RENT SUITS from a Jos. A. Banks. I have called corporate and hope that they can rectify this situation, but it is yet to be seen. I am saddened that I no longer feel comfortable shopping at my local Jos. A. Banks or any for that matter due to being called a liar, and receiving horrible customer service. read more

I can't speak for the tuxes, but we had a very disappointing customer service experience here when we went in for a wedding consultation on Sunday morning. We booked an appointment online well in advance and showed up on time. There were two employees there - one outside smoking and the other helping a customer in the back. The employee who was outside followed us in the door and asked if he could help us, and we let him know we were there for our 11am appointment. He clearly was not expecting us and basically told us that we were out of luck because the employee in the back "didn't really know the system" and that we'd have to come back when the manager arrived. He said that the manager "should show up around noon but it might be later because he's French and you know how they are." And then he just stood there looking at us. No apology for their mixup, no offer to help us himself, no explanation, just a blank stare. Baffled, we left and he followed us out the door and continued his smoke break. I guess he couldn't help us because he wasn't done smoking? We went to the Men's Wearhouse in the same complex and had a fantastic experience. Save yourself the frustration and go there instead. read more
