It was low to mid $200's for the shoes, pants, shirt, jacket, and bow tie. When I tried everything on, I asked specifically if I had to try on the bow tie. The person assisting me that day was Michael I believe, assured me that it was a one size fits all and that there was no need. So I relied on that to be factual, and that there would be no issues. (Silly me!) Come the day of the wedding, and I'm getting dressed and I've now noticed that my bow tie doesn't fit. I call the business up and tell them that I am currently at the wedding venue (not close by) and that my bow tie doesn't fit. The person on the phone kept asking when the wedding was and at what time, but I explained to them that I was far away and that the wedding started soon. They told me come in on Monday to resolve this with our manager. Today is Monday, and I came in after work and met with Jameel (I believe as his name, also person who fitted me) and Michael (same person who saw me try everything on). They apologized for not fitting it already for me, but showed me that ultimately it could technically be adjusted to fit me and that it was "so obvious", so that's why they didn't fit it for me. They also proceeded to inform me that since I left with the suit that day, that I agreed that everything was up to standard. Being told that after me asking to try everything on, felt like a slap in the face to say the least. The resolution I was offered was a compensation of $10, and an acknowledgment that they should've put it on me before I left, but ultimately it was my fault for leaving without trying everything on and not knowing how to properly adjust it to fit me. I'm leaving one star because I trusted them to come through for a special occasion, and it ended up with me showing up without a crucial part of the $200+ outfit, causing me to stand out in a way no one really wants since there is no way to hide not having a tie on, and got told afterwards it was ultimately my own fault for not trying it on beforehand after asking to or not knowing all together how to adjust it since it was "so obvious". I will not be renting from here again personally and will not recommend to others I know.

A satellite shop set up in New Hope the place runs a scottish vibe- as you can tell by the name but besides kilts and scarves and Guinness t -shirt (Guinness? highlands? someone's got lost lost) they sell tweed jackets and waist coats and these are wonderful. I wear a lot of waistcoats and in the cooler months a good tweed jacket and waistcoat with a scarf and hat and I'm good for temps into the 40's while looking fabulous. What really put me on a tear for this place though is the quality and price. Like I said I know a good tweed and got a waistcoat and jacket combination for $250. This is, I'm afraid to say this in case they pop up their prices, amazingly low and quality does not suffer. More than four months later, I still had not received the jacket mor had I heard from American Highlander. I reached out again. The response was an email asking me to call the store. When I called I was told the supplier no longer made that jacket. The person I spoke with said they would send me a catalog of the new jackets and vests. I could pick a set from the collection and keep the vest I have. That was more than two months ago and again, nothing. American Highlander has $250 of my money but I do not have my goods. They have never been proactive in addressing this issue, rather only respond when I reach out. And every response has been a lit. I will avoid this company from now on and recommend you do the same.

I really noticed the brush off when two white women entered one behind the other and were promptly not only greeted but asked if they would like any assistance. But because the sales girl was all over me with suggestions and asking me to come out and model, standing outside my dressing room talking to me, I just left without buying anything. Please reconsider this sales tactic. Not everyone likes is and some of us thoroughly dislike it. Take cues from the customer and if they seem to want to shop independently, let them do so. I've now had this experience in 4 different states, so I won't be back unless I know things have changed. Of course so when you are the bide, but ESPECIALLY when you are only in the bridal party. : ( Usually the bride's mom pays for a really awesome dress and the attendees are told what to buy. That, in itself, puts the party member at a disadvantage from the get-go. So what do you expect when you visit these bridal stores trying to find your size in that lime green stunner? While the bride spends a lot more $ by choosing, the bridal party is forced to spend $200+ on a silly looking sea green gown that they might be able to wear to a costume party. So what do we attendees need? Help, y'all! This is a true HTG story: The mother-of-the-bride, my sister-in-law, our little daughters (so looking forward to trying on dresses) all visited Elegant Bridal yesterday. It's a little shop on Main street that LOOKS LIKE it is a respite from the madness. We had called the afternoon previous to our visit, three times, and left messages that we would be in the next morning to see their junior bridesmaid dresses but we had a particular model in mind. The owner of the shop, Rafaela, I believe, did not return our calls. We were initially only able to receive a response via email, but finally, after numerous attempts, she finally called back. Rafaela told us when she called that we could certainly come to the shop but we shouldn't expect to try anything on until we basically swore on the lives of our children that we would actually BUY from the shop. We explained, "How can we buy the dress until we see it on our children?" After much back-and-forth, she agreed to let our us come in, after driving the 45 minutes to arrive, and try on the dresses. We left early in the morning to make our appointment on-time. As soon as we arrived, Rafaela had her posse of employees, and the dress we were looking (in a plastic bag) waiting for us near the entrance. We walked into her shop excited to see our little girls all dressed up. What we experienced was another story. Rafaela informed us that. miraculously, in the late night hours, the dress we wanted to try on had been sold and we were not only not allowed to try in on, but even touch it. When we then asked the size of the dress to get an idea of possible fit, she refused to tell us. Then we asked the price of the dress. She wasn't sure. We kindly asked, since the dress we wanted to try on had been sold somewhere near midnight, that we would like to try on something comparable to get an idea of the girl's sizes. Her answer was "No." She said, in full view of all the junior bridesmaid dresses in the store, that she had absolutely nothing for us to try on. "But," we explained, "We drove 40 minutes to get here and you told us last night we could try on the dresses." She curtly said, "Sorry, you can't" and refused to even take the bridal dress out of the plastic covering for us to look at. After some back-and-forth, we asked the simple question -- "If you knew the dress was sold, why didn't you call us back to alert us not to make the trip?" No response but a sideways look. Listen bridal shop owners, buying a $250 dress that your kid is only going to wear once is taxing on a mom. The absolute last thing we want is to bullied out of the store buy the owner. I have NEVER been so offended in my life. We left the shop in shock at the utter selfishness and uncaring attitude of this woman and I vowed to document our experience on google to save others the distress that we experienced. So wedding party moms and attendees, listen closely. If you go to Elegant Bridal, expect to be treated like you are diseased, and penniless, of which we are neither. But it really doesn't matter, does it. Even if we were, we should have been shown a modicum of respect. We weren't. SAVE YOURSELF YOUR HUMILITY AND THE PLEASURE OF NOT MEETING RAFAELA AND ELEGANT BRIDAL. YOU WILL THANK ME DOWN THE ROAD!

Also, they assured my mom at the first time she went that they would give her a deal, but then seemed almost offended when she brought it up later. Just felt very slimey. They could have sold us a beautiful dress but the pushiness turned us off of everything.
