Such a nice selection of goods - ranging in price to meet the needs of different budgets. I am a fan of Uzi and Black Crane - and they have a nice selection of these brands from what I have seen, but I have also discovered other brands and makers from across the globe that have awesome stuff. Their hours are not abundant (likely due to a covid still) but they are certainly open most days. When in doubt, call ahead. They are usually open after noon. It's a great shop and a wonderful part of Old City that I would highly recommend! Check it out if you haven't yet.

I love having a…read moreshop nearby that offers a nice selection of men's and women's clothing, spanning styles and price points that resonate with both my wife and I. It's a massive store with a lot of merchandise, so you're likely to find something you like if you're in the mood to shop. Even when we haven't wanted to shop, we've found things when just popping in to say hi. You can dress up, or dress down. Shop affordably, or splurge a bit. They've introduced us to brands that we didn't know, and are always refreshing their assortment. As an independent business, they're obviously not getting in a ton of sizes, so as with all boutiques, if you see a piece that you like, you're wise to jump on it at that moment...even if you may pay a premium. A lot of the negative reviews here seems to fall into the buckets of price, assortment, or staff attitude, which may have validity in those instances, but for myself, I've only had great experiences. From the first time I went in when visiting Philly a few years ago to now as a neighborhood resident. The consistent, positive experiences we've had is why we continue to go back and spend the few extra dollars on a piece to support their local business. Plus, the men's assortment usually has things that work with my own style preference (casual, understated, but seeking quality materials and a more tailored fit in the $40-120 range). The women's assortment tends to run a bit higher, but that could just the difference in what my wife and I have shopped there. The staff are always eager to talk to us about their new arrivals, but they haven't been too pushy, thankfully. Regardless, Sugarcube likely has something for just about everyone, and if your experience mirrors ours instead of some of the more negative reviews here, hopefully you'll enjoy shopping there and find that piece you've been searching for! Enjoy!

After arriving home, I noticed they were supposed to be discounted by $200 but I was charged full price. I figured it was an honest mistake. I returned to the boutique two days later and explained the situation. The manager immediately acknowledged that they were indeed supposed to be discounted. She promptly refunded the amount and apologized. I would definitely recommend this boutique for lovers of fashion, particularly those with a more experimental taste. The employees I've encountered were all friendly and helpful, and even when a mistake was made it was quickly resolved without any problems. Great selection that's carefully curated with helpful staff.

After some online research, Cactus Collective made the list, along with many other gems in Queen Village, and I'd have to say I had my best scores there. The two ladies working there were very warm and inviting when I entered, but also were cool with giving me my space to dig around--I never felt pressured, which I've found most helpful when perusing unique vintage items. The store has a very distinctive Southwestern personality that sets it apart from other vintage stores in the city. Though it's a small space, the clothes, accessories, and gifts were all merchandised in a way to make the customer feel as if they're shopping in someone's private closet. Later, after following the store on Instagram, I had questions about some items I was interested in buying via their online store. I received quick responses and the owner was patient with all my questions, and they shipped my item within 24 hours.
