He said no this isnt necessarily, pick the three meats and he will throw a couple portabella mushrooms on the grill for the few vegetarians. He said to include them in the final count and email him before the event with the number of vegetarians and to let the vegetarians know to request them from the servers, as if they put them out on the buffet everyone will eat them. We did this and he responded to the email with the final invoice which we paid before the event. Day of the wedding we find out at the end of the meal our vegetarians asked about the mushrooms and they were told it wasn't on the invoice and we never paid for it. Absolutely embarrassing and extremely unprofessional. Now our guests think we didn't do anything for them and it was our mistake. We did pay for them and was told they'd have mushrooms instead. Reached out to voice my disappointment vs going to a review and his response was my cordinator should have noticed it wasn't on the invoice (i told her this is how he wanted it done and that's why they weren't there) and he also mentioned the food that was there turned out good as if that was supposed to fix everything. She was beyond patient with me and kind the whole way through as I went back and forth on what to do. I had endless questions for weeks before booking. On wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. Her team showed up in professional attire, were kind, respectful, and prompt. They were so sweet and kept telling us how beautiful everything was and how grateful they were to be there. The food was SO GOOD. So good in fact we put the leftover scalloped potatoes, prime rib, and artichoke chicken straight in the freezer on wedding night and are just about to run out. Nola's came through, big time! Nola herself and her bartender, Brandi, arrived a couple of hours early and got themselves set up. We got to just go upstairs and take our time getting ready, and come down a few minutes before the party start time and have Brandi fix us a drink to have in hand as our guests arrived. So luxurious! The party was so fun, thanks in large part to Nola and Brandi and the fabulous food, drinks, and service. Our guests raved about all of the yummy platters - particularly the shrimp with aioli sauce, the mushroom flatbread bites, the smoked salmon toasts, and the charcuterie board with roasted and pickled vegetables. People got extra glowy and happy from Brandi's amazing cocktails, including incredible manhattans and French 75s. Nola and Brandi chatted with our guests and even joined in some of the dancing at the end of the evening! We got to get glamorous and visit with everyone fully after so many months of cancelled and postponed events and having to worry about getting together with too many people. When I called inquiring about what menu options we were interested in, I made it very clear which ones we wanted and emailed the information as well. It took over a week to receive the quotes, the quotes did not include everything that had been requested. Not to mention, the service charge for each quote was nearly as much as the food itself. I'm all of paying for services and their time, but the quote had the service time until 12am which why in the world would a caterer need to stay that late at a wedding? When I asked questions and inquired about receiving an updated quote, the owner responded in email with "I'm heading out of the office for the day, but will get back to you tomorrow." We never heard from her again. I was skeptical about this catering company to begin with as they had pretty questionable reviews, but after the experience we had, I am really glad we booked elsewhere. I gave them two stars and not one because I never actually tried their food.
