We are poor. We had a mental health crisis. They saw us relatively quickly. Despite my partners mania and outbreaks, they stayed with us thru the intake process. They did not want to give us meds we did not want, which feels wise, but they n the end they prescribed them. They were respectful and professional but also friendly and empathetic. The prices were very reasonable. They helped us fill out both the disability forms and the social security forms. Look perhaps if you are well in off you can get fancier care. But if you have need of low cost quality health care esp behavioral medicine you can not do better than Jordan Valley. read more

I went to Jordan Valley in January, express care with my daughter. The reason we went was to rule out flu given it has a 48 hour window to treat. I specifically said I did not want rsv and to my surprise was charged for rsv (my daughter is older and we would not do anything for rsv outside of symptom control). I have spent months trying to talk to someone. Billing has been very kind and trying to get a manager or someone to call to discuss. No one seems to care that I am being charged for a test they did not perform or if they did, it was done against parental consent (no rsv result has ever been disclosed to me, even as I have been fighting this bill). I am planning on reporting Shay Davis to the state board of nursing. This is no longer about the cost but the principle. This should not be allowed to happen to anyone or any patient. If you can go somewhere else, please do. read more

Besides the fact I go above and beyond on the my chart app to keep my prescriptions filled at least 4 to 7 days in advance, I no longer have Medicaid and am paying out of pocket cost. So now I'm not getting my medication sent in. I've been out 5 days and I have spent dang near 2 WHOLE days at the Dr office trying to get them sent in. When I had medicaid they would go above and beyond to get them sent and filled. But today I get a call back from the nurse and there isn't anything they can do. "I'll just have to be patient." Smh But here it is every time I go in for a 5 second visit to talk to the nurse they put it in for a 20 min visit on the my chart app. Hmmm read more

Jordan Valley needs to work on proper follow ups with patients. I often did not get appointment reminders, or was told a different location. My PCP was awful and showed no interest in my healthcare concerns. Didn't follow up with treatment plan. Dental is a joke, good luck getting in or getting any of your dental work completed in a reasonable time. Just save yourself the mental stress and find somewhere better. This place is horrible, my friend that lives in Missouri, went to this location to get STD tested after being raped. The staff had zero empathy or compassion for her situation. Instead the staff member that was supposed to help her out laughed at her and made her feel more humiliated than what she was feeling already. If you work in healthcare especially at a facility such as this and have zero empathy for the patients then why are you even in the healthcare industry? I've never felt more dismissed, stigmatized, or unsupported by a medical provider than I have here. Despite being open about my mental health and recovery journey, I was denied a basic letter of support for a medication I've been prescribed for over a decade--based on an unwritten rule that was never communicated to me. When I tried to advocate for myself, I encountered delay, lost lab work, and a complete lack of empathy. Even the patient advocate seemed more interested in defending the clinic than addressing valid concerns. I came here seeking help and left feeling discriminated against for having a disability. My husband is on dangerous medications for a severe mental illness. This facility constantly rescheduled appointments without good notice. They disregard the fact that going on and off medication because of delayed appointments, they disregard the need for those medications to continue to work or function on a day to day basis, they disregard the suicidal thoughts that inevitably come with extreme medication issues. And today one of their medical assistants literally laughed at my husband while he attempted to explain to them what this disruption in meds is doing to his life. Dental: I have had many visits and fillings and an extraction. None of which done by a DDS. Had to leave for root canals elsewhere. Pain prescription was forgotten(not called in). So much pain and my mouth was a mess. Behavioral: I had made many appts and was called back each time to say that the councelor was booked and my appt moved out months. Medical: I went in to get a perscrition refill and was told By "Dr" that she would not refill as I may become addicted. If she would have looked at my history, she would have seen that I have been on this med for 23 yrs as needed and never used the whole amount before refill time. (anti anxiety) turns out, she wasnt an MD and couldn't perscribe. I asked several times to speak with a counselor for depression and anxiety. She walked out without addressing this need. Luckily the behavioral nurse stepped in and helped me. Note: this is the only dental office that takes medicade in Springfield and surrounding areas. Sad. read more

This place is a scam to collect federal money, for the sole benefit of senior administrative staff, provide jobs to the least qualified, and take advantage of poor people. If you are sadly compelled to use them, prepare to have appointments scheduled when your doctor is not there, pay everything up front, only to be billed later for additional services that are not even yours. The doctors and nurses are fine, but the rest of the staff is a joke. Good luck getting your billing corrected once it is in error- and it will be in error. Expect an appointment to take at least 4 hours, as they over-schedule all services. Expect to observe the desk employees playing and making no effort to help people, and expect to be rudely treated at every single interaction. Do all you can to not use these people for anything. So... I'll start by saying that I am a nurse who went to trucking. I have extremely bad yearly sinus issues. Being chronic, I know what I need and at home it's typically an in-and-out issue--back to work I go. On the other hand, I also usually keep what I know I'm going to need with me, but this time I didn't. However, I considered it an opportunity to find a secondary provider positioned closer to my employer and to, perhaps , build a new working relationship. Not at all what I had hoped for. Let me clear. After the Tuskegee experiments, after the way the Jews were experimented on during Nazi Germany, etc, we now have something called "informed consent". For those of you who don't know, this means that your provider has an *obligation* to set before you your options, explain the pros and cons, and to, finally, leave the option as to what to do with your body up to you. The front desk lady was polite and handled her job well. The triage nurse/pct was kind and helpful. But then this other little girl came into my room with a covid kit. She didn't tell me what it was (of course I knew), didn't ask me anything. She just went to work opening the kit to shove it up my nose. Mind you, I had a lab-kit due the following morning by my employer. I had to say, "Um, wait a minute... What have you got there?" Before she even took the liberty to tell me what she was about to do to me, or to ask my permission. I refused (had already informed the front desk personnel that I would). Strike one. I chalked it up to lack of bedside, she angrily tossed the kit away before leaving the room. Next, the practitioner was off-putting. Also no bedside manner. She came into the room to ask me, immediately, why I refused the kit. For one, because it's my body and I didn't want to be violated two times in a row if I didn't have to. Secondly, because I knew what was wrong with me (the following day's covid test returned negative, but I took it anyway because it was forced on me by my employer, and I like to work). But two times, um. No. But I was asked with such an attitude that I felt like a person whom knew no better would have felt guilty or stupid, just because she thought she knew what was good for me (hence the Tuskegee correlation--some health professionals think they know what's better for you than you, and that's not their choice to make). Strike two. Next, I explained my situation. I was told I was "viral", to which I asked just how she would know that (there were no swabs performed, urinalysis, blood work--nothing), to which she replied she "knew" based on the length of my issue. Um. Nope. Strike three. We will never return to that facility. I am now on my way back home (eight hours away and out of our way) after paying for services not rendered. The experience was truly a let-down because I already don't trust many with overseeing my health needs. So we're headed home and I am increasingly miserable, but covid-negative (at least one positive). To anyone reading this, please remember that you have the right to receive the correct medications for your ailments in a timely manner, but you also have the right to refuse any medication (and your provider should not guilt you, but instead offer you positively-reinforced education as to your needs). You have the right to be informed before having your body violated in any way. You have the right to make your own choices for your own body. If you don't understand something, never hesitate to ask your provider questions before allowing something you don't want. read more

I had emergency removal of a tooth that took two days to get out. Two months later, the site still isn't closed all the way and the two visits I made to address it, I was just loaded up with antibiotics and told to have a nice day. I couldn't open my mouth, my jaw is still swelling at times and the standard of care is crap. They treat patients as if they are pain medication seekers, but pull a tooth and complications are blown off and you're told to take Tylenol and go away. The last time I was there, I didn't even see a dentist. Just an oral hygienist who messaged back and forth with the doctor who never stepped foot in the room. How can you care for a patient by what is on the screen and never even seeing them face to face? read more

The Springfield and Hollister locations are both AMAZING These guys have made such a HUGE impact on my daily life I cannot find the words to describe my appreciation for the entire staff at these 2 clinics!!! They go above and beyond for their patients!! Thanks to Dr. P I have a better relationship with my children, my fiancé, and other close family members!! I am able to get out of bed, clean my house, attend my children's school and sports activities, attend church, and have a life that I'm PROUD of THANK YOU ALL sooooo much for giving me my life back!! Me and my brother have basically been waiting 2 years for our wisdom teeth removal surgery the lady receptionist to come call us in and take notes was being really rude to my mom because she was trying to say we would have to reschedule because no one told us that we couldnt have a sip of water before surgery and she was waving her hands in my moms face talking to her like she was dumb, her name was shelly b or something like that and then after she saw my brother making a complaint on the clipboard about her, the dentist came out and told my mom that we had to leave and wed have to reschedule something wev already waited so long to do, the service here is ridiculous i cant believe we got treated like this. read more

I was attacked by different members of Staff of Jordan Valley a nurse practitioner and a caseworker and then somehow I wound up in a situation where I was supposed to be fired from Jordan Valley Behavioral Health. But instead of them firing firmly in writing whenever this erroneous which way should have came up they wanted me to come in personally and meet with the main psychiatrist and I was not aware that I was going to be ambushed so when I eventually went back in against my better judgement to see what was going on I was treated in the most positive way Manor with a security officer presents for his protection. The nurse practitioner attacked me because I had my phone in my hand and she didn't feel like I was paying attention and then the case worker attacked me because I was wanting to take an emergency phone call while I was in a meeting with him and I explained to him that it was an emergency and he didn't care! read more

My sons girlfriend got pregnant 2 months after meeting my son. She claims to have been on birth control when I fact the pills she takes are opiates her mother gives her when Mikayla throws fits @ age 22. I explained she cannot use drugs or drink alcohol. She showed my message to staff at Jordan Valley and the nurse told her not to worry about it they don't report pregnant drug use. Your supposed to be a healthcare facility and your response only enables drug abuse. Then you tell her to call police about me harassing her- what kind of junk are your people? My son has this all recorded and your nurse is being reported right along with the trashy girl claiming to carry my grandchild and her mother who gives her drugs & alcohol! read more

Let me start by saying, I am not poor I have very good insurance. I went to the Republic office. I was so impressed with how well I was treated I was seen by Michelle Spencer. She was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to and just explained things so that I could understand them. The nurses are fantastic from checking me in to taking blood. I'm switching to this place from my Cox Doctor so is my husband. I highly highly recommend them to anyone. read more

I had been in services at Jordan valley for the past few years and it truly has been on thing after another but I've always tried to make things work and hope things would get better but the past month being there has been a absolute nightmare my wife and I went in to our pain management appointment and got bullied in changing our meds and we had both told them the other meds we were on and what we couldn't take and when we tried to fill mine my insurance wouldn't pay for it and they said that they would immediately do a prn and get it taken care of and we filled my wife's meds cause she has no insurance yet so we paid cash well after waiting a week I called back to see how thing we're going and caught the nurse in two different lies and so I called her on it and she got rude and started back peddling real quick and about that time my wife was having serious issues with her meds and I called up there about that and to see what they were doing on mine and got much more crap back from the nurse pretty much saying that we had to be on this stuff for a month minimum and after a few days I did get a call back from the nurse saying that my insurance still wouldn't pay from the meds unless it had naloxone in it and I pretty much told her that the research we had done that would clash with our other meds even more than the other and that we were not addict's and had no need to be on that crap and the easiest thing to do is just put me and my wife back on our other meds and to consult with our psych doctor and that way if that was ok everyone would be on the same page and she said she would call me back we'll after hearing nothing for a week and a half I called and tried to have my other pills refilled if that what my doc wanted to do and finally received a call back later in the day stating that I was taken off that med so the couldn't fill it and I ask them what I was supposed to do sense my insurance wouldn't pay for the other what was she going to do just let me tank off my pain meds and she no more cared than the man in the moon and made the excuse that I was getting loud and she was getting off the phone we'll no one ever called me back so my wife called up the and the office manager told her that the were ending services with me and that all my appointments were cancelled and that I can't see any of my other doctor's witch there were four total cause even my PCP was there and they are letting me tank off all my meds and they don't care they even tried to can my wife and screwed all her appointment's up because one of there receptionist jerks and one other doc lied about something they charted that she didn't do or say luckily she got that straightened out but the are still firing me and have sense fired the doc that started this mess but they want me gone because I called them out on this crap so I told my wife if that's the game they want to play fine because me tanking off my meds is going to land me in the ER and they don't care can anyone say lawyer read more

One doctor ignored the lab work and symptoms which showed that my autoimmune disorder was not being controlled. Went for two years like this before she was replaced by another doctor. This new doctor showed concern about this; however, he refused to provide the documentation that my employer requested to excuse my absences from work that were a result of the autoimmune disorder not being properly treated. This was after saying he would fill out the paperwork and making me wait a week to tell me he wasn't going to fill it out. He said he couldn't find any research showing that the symptoms I complained of were related to the autoimmune disorder; even though sites like the Mayo Clinic and the National Library of Medicine say otherwise. I managed to keep my job long enough to get insurance and see a competent doctor. Not only did he show concern that the autoimmune disorder was still not under control, but he sent me to a psychologist to help resolve the stress I was feeling which worsened the physical symptoms of the autoimmune disorder. After seeing her for a while, I was diagnosed with PTSD; which comes with its own set of physical and psychological symptoms that were ignored by Jordan Valley. Long story short: the doctors at Jordan Valley ignored the physical and psychological symptoms I discussed with them; I was nagged about smoking, even though I stated repeatedly that I needed some help to quit; my primary care doctor at Jordan Valley apparently didn't have access to recent (past 5 years) of research on the autoimmune disorder that I have; I was treated like I was looking for an excuse not to go to work, despite jumping through hoops to demonstrate that I wanted to keep my job; and I ended up losing my job as a result. I'm back to not having insurance, but I will not go back to Jordan Valley. My physical and psychological symptoms were ignored, and both doctors declined to perform additional testing to determine the causes of the symptoms. Posted complaint on social media. The person I was asked to discuss this with was rude, and has not gotten back to me about the results of her "investigation." read more

I have no experience with any other areas except the dental office here. I've always been greeted with kind people at the door as well. I called literally 18 dentists to finally go with Jordan Valley. I talked to every other dentist here and none of them were anywhere near what I was comfortable with except for Dr. White. She was very understanding and informative. I would choose this dentist within a 2 hour radius. read more

Its been awhile since I have been here, but recently I received something in the mail that reminded me just how awful this place is. I received a bill from them over 3 years after going there. Thats right 3 years. When I called about it they said they had sent me others ones, obviously they did not otherwise Im sure a collections agent would have called me. They told me they would get back to me with a solution but never did, I tried calling them for over two months and only ever got voice mailboxes. Then today I receive a letter from a collection agency. They obviously don't have their act together. The receptionist treat you like you are stupid and have no clue what you're talking about do not pass on messages and don't know how to look up your appointment. Good luck getting your medication in a timely fashion it takes at least 4 phone calls to make sure that they send the medication to the correct Pharmacy. And I've been without my pain meds overnight. I wish I never started going here they cost me more stress and grief than help. Reading the posts here and reading previous employees post why is this place still in business? When I go in there there's only one or two people waiting they act like they see a hundred people a day. I've spoken to a lot of nurse's assistants that have a very sharp tone and R rude me. Do not go to Jordan Valley for assistance. Was helping a homeless/jobless veteran with a roof/bed. They had a sore tooth. Went to Jordan Valley. Come to find out broken jaw and abscesses. Made another appointment for the next week. Not to fix anything, just to arrange payment. He's homeless/jobless. Jordan Valley required him to bring in MY paystub. Weird, but okay. Today he was sent home and denied medical service because I make too much money. Supposed to have a manager talk to him (did I mention the broken jaw?) to work on the situation. There would have to be some grandiose change in policy, procedure, and/or attitude before I ever recommend this place, even for a homeless person. read more

My 3 year old daughters doctor is here and we also come here for their urgent care and I have never had any issue with the staff here. The nurses and doctors are always very informative and great with kids. Today I went to get some paper work signed by my daughters doctor so she could attend pre school and the receptionist told me that I couldn't get them signed. I had called 2 days prior to set up an appointment to get this done and they told me to just come in. Today she tried telling me I needed an appointment and it takes 48 hours...I told her that I had tried to set one up and was told to just come in. I would understand her not wanting to walk back to get the paper signed if they were busy but we were the ONLY ones there. After several mins of explaining to her I just need a signature saying my daughter has had her shots and has no health condition she finally went to the back and came back with the paper signed...It was then obvious that she flat out just didn't wanna get off her chair and step away from playing candy crush. Another thing that bothered me was she told me I had to schedule my daughters 3 year old check up...which was already scheduled. I told her we already had an appointment and she was very snobby with her reply saying that I was wrong. Once she noticed that I did in fact actually already have my appointment she did not apologize for being rude and wrong. I hope I never come across this receptionist again. She seems very lazy and maybe not very knowledgeable of how to do her job correctly with out being rude to people. read more

Have never been here and not had trouble. The staff is never friendly and do not usually seem like they want to help much. I come here to get a simple shot but since I only live in Springfield half the year I bring my shot record of when I get the shots from a different location. However every time I come to get my shot there is a new reason why they can't give it to me, and they tell me I have to come back at a different time. I always end up getting the shot in the end it is just extremely frustrating when I come with everything I need and they still turn me away yet when I come back another day it is fine. I have been requesting my husband's blood work results since March 2017. I requested them at the republic office and on nextmd Nothing is posted on his nextmd and hasn't been. I requested my blood work results on nextmd and have called republic office on numerous times for both of them. The receptionist in Republic is rude she's hateful she lies. She said they could not upload our test results on the nextmd. The receptionist and republic transferred me to somebody that was supposed to be a manager her name was Michelle. I spoke with Michelle she spoke with your IT department and said that yes indeed the lady in Republic was supposed to upload my test results. She spoke with her manager Michelle did and she verified that republic would have to upload them. Last Friday I received three phone calls from the public after Michelle had called them and they were going to get my results uploaded on nextmd. they also said they were mailing my husband and mine results. Five days later I still don't have either one of our results. When I tried to call the Republic office and talk to them once again I was treated horribly. I requested that the rude woman transfer me back to the Michelle that she transferred me to last Friday and she refused. The Michelle only gave me her first name and said she was a manager and if I didn't get this settled to call her back. Well I can't call her back if the lady won't transfer me to her. I want my test results I want them now I'm tired of messing with them. They need to be emailed to me so that we make sure that my husband and I both get our test results. This is ridiculous. If something doesn't get done I am going to do whatever I have to do to make sure somebody is reprimanded for their lack of intelligence. Our insurance will be switching tomorrow mercy in January and I cannot be happier. read more

So in march I went for a doctors appointment who then referred me to Jordan Valley for follow up. Call them and had to battle with them for a month in a half almost 2 months to get an appointment with Jordan Valley! And to top that off the doctor was rude and talked to me like i was stupid during my visit!!! Then go and had to wait for almost a month to get my test results!!! I have to say the worst thing ever and it wasn't a thing that could just blow off this was for an extremely important matter!! Then now have to wait another week to get an additional appointment!!! Jordan Valley is the most incompetent health facility I have ever experienced. The doctor there wrote a script for my 6 yr old grandson for Ritalin. This was done without consent of his father, and against two other doctor's opinions. I suppose we could have gotten a lawyer, except his mother agreed to stop the script. There were no tests given other than an in office questionnaire. Very ridiculous considering the effects of such a strong medication. read more

My husband went there because of severe stomach pain and ringing in the ears. They addressed a problem that did not exist (acid reflux disease). We went through a week of aggravation from his visits to E.R.'s, Urgent care clinics, until the E.R. doctor at Cox suggested it was a hiatal hernia or an ulcer and he go on a bland diet. Problem solved. Why couldn't the doctor at Jordan Valley, (the first place he been to) tell him this? Since we don't have insurance, we racked up a lot of bills we're now going to have to deal with. read more
