I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

Imperial Solar was fair and transparent during the evaluation, and efficient and detail-oriented throughout the installation. The crew arrived on time and left the area clean. The system was installed professionally and looks excellent. Since our meter change, our bill has decreased by 80%, even during winter. We look forward to seeing our savings in the summer. We are very satisfied with Imperial Solar and highly recommend them to anyone considering a solar installation.

It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

Jason was the one that came out and he did a smaller system quote for me and my wife. Jason couldn't for the life of him tell me how the system was even more expensive than not using a prepaid ppa. I was also ignored by phone calls and "I'll get back to you" was what he told me. I would stay away and use some other company that is very clear about how the new incentives work.

After explaining the installation process, as well as my new charger's features, Jessie went right to work. The whole install process did not take very long. Walter walked me through how the charger works (pretty simple) including the WiFi connection. After he finished Jessie made sure that the area was clean and that all installation debris was picked up. I am somewhat disappointed that my chosen installation location (inside the garage) could not be used. But Walter showed me how inside the garage would have been a very tight fit. So overall I am OK with the set-up. Next month the Photon Brothers will come to install the Tesla Powerwall to go with my solar panels. I expect that everything will go smoothly!

The best part is he doesn't oversell you on things you don't need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck.
