So we ordered Tuna Salpicao, Bicol Special (laing, which is taro leaves in coconut milk, and deep-fried pork chop) and their soup of the day, crab and corn soup. All were exceptional dishes, as far as Bigg's is concerned. They made the dishes their own and all were delicious and cooked nicely. Another thing about Bigg's that I enjoyed is the interior and their decor. You can really say that the restaurant has this American diner vibe to it. The walls are adorned with shelves filled with vintage soft drink bottles, some Americana memorabilia, and movie posters. Just brilliant! We really enjoyed our dinner there, and we'll definitely come back.

The worst thing about this establishment is the management and the staff, they can't get any order right and forcing our family to pay for food we order. They won't try to do their jobs especially the manager she can't even come to discuss detail to our bill and making us pay extra. So I warned anyone who comes here beware they will try to up charge for terrible food.

Although the interior decor is much the same as in the US, it seems the clientele here seems to be a bit more high end... in used to seeing a bunch of club goers grabbing breakfast here as the sun rises on them. Anyways on to the food. Actually not horrible, I found it more like comfort food for those of you who miss the traditions of being stateside. The serving of chicken fried steak was huge, but the patty was thin, and the serving of hashed browns was also inadequate. But you know there's just something about having chicken fried steak, hash browns, and sunny side up eggs for breakfast that just brings a smile to your face! The bacon was like really thin, like shabu shabu thin! Like it broke off when i tried to pick it up. Pancakes were on point fluffy and tasted great! Overall, hey man! It's Denny's... in the Philippines! So hoorah!!

Honestly, I had no idea this place existed, but luckily was paying attention when our driver drove past and I saw a massive line out the door at 1am. Luck would have it our hotel was just around the corner. We walked by one evening and decided it was way to crowded. With over an hour wait and every table filled we also knew pictures inside would be nearly impossible. With a couple hours to spare the morning we were leaving, we walked over after breakfast to check it out and maybe order something small to share. Of course, the desserts caught our eye and the rest was history. 1 massive dessert later, 2 of us could not finish, but throughly enjoyed every bite we ate. A daytime visit was the best choice. We pretty much had the downstairs to ourselves for pictures and several 2nd floor areas were purposely non-seating areas so patrons could take pictures. I could have spent hours here and would definitely return. The collection is unreal. The 50's vibe/atmosphere was on point, and the dessert (the only food I can judge) was delicious. If we had a place like this in Los Angeles, it would be a total hit.

If you're looking for a cool casual fun place to eat/drink or hang out with a retro theme, you have to check this place out. It's open 24/7. This is an American diner-style restaurant. It has a unique gas station theme, with classic cars, memorabilia, and a vintage vibe. They offer American comfort food like burgers, pizza, pasta, and hearty breakfast plates but surprisingly their Filipino favorite dishes are so good. Ordered the hipon (shrimp) sinigang & the sizzling squid. Both were so good. Loved the sauce on the squid. Loved all the veggies in the sinigang especially the okra & kangkong (watercress/morning glory). This place is great for casual dining and late-night cravings. They have a bar for those who want to enjoy a drink while soaking in the retro aesthetic. I stopped in here twice during my stay in the area. I also tried their chicken & waffle. It was really good too. I wish I tried their desserts but I was too full both times. They have merchandise to purchase as well if you need souvenirs. Staff were friendly.

I find their menu full of comfort food that's surely a hit to students and families as well. I personally recommend their White Cow milkshake with toppings (they have a wide range: from chocolate bars like Milky Way, Twix, KitKat to the classic brownie, cheesecake, Oreo cookies, etc.) Their restaurant has a great interior design with mementos from the past (Elvis with a guitar, diner booths, old comic books) that is a plus for me. They also have a flat screen TV that can serve as entertainment while having a scrumptious meal. The parking area may be limited, but I would definitely go back there to try out their non-dessert options, especially when I saw they serve huge fries with their burgers. :)

It is just like your typical American diner, with a mix of modern and vintage themes. The walls were decorated with posters referencing 80's pop culture, which includes a picture of Elvis Presley, Coca-Cola Bottles, black and white tiles, and other images that would make you feel nostalgic. I wasn't born in the 80's but the whole place just reminded of the time when people would just dance to Jazz music in really trendy and casual diners. During my first time there, I decided to order one of their all-day breakfast meals which included four pieces of waffles, bacon, sausage, hash brown, and eggs--a heavy and satisfying meal for brunch. I felt like a fatty that time for ordering so many food, but I felt like I deserve it. I also ordered their famous milk shake, which is to die for! You might gain a few pounds after your visit here, but that just proves how Jugo Bar's food is simply the BEST.

The Waffle Florentine (265 PHP) 3 pieces of fried chicken that's crispy and just enough breading for some heft. Spinach, Bacon and poached egg atop a stack of 2 quarter pieces of waffles, drizzled with a subtly mix of their Hollandaise sauce. It wasn't the most savoury breakfast we'd eaten, but it certainly offers much more value than a local breakfast chain. Taste it yourself you might like the calmness of this dish. The Breakfast Bowl Not something we'd recommend, but if you just need a basic breakfast then go ahead. It's not bad, just nothing special we'd order again. Just too ordinary. The Cheesecake Milkshake (136 PHP) It won us over with its stunning presentation and affordable price. It's a light milkshakes that's great for the summer and instagram. Taste is a good as it gets for milkshake. Ambiance was great, they played a chill mix of the latest hits. It perks you up in the morning. They also have beer pong tables outside for evening activities. We visited this place because me and my friends wanted to try a new place to eat at. At first, I thought this place was pricey until I saw their serving size - most of the items on their menu was good for sharing. I was able to try their Beer-Battered Chicken and Waffles (Php 256.00) and it was definitely worth it. The chicken strips were moist and soft, while the waffles and its syrup were good enough- although the 2 "bacon strips" they put along with the dish were not enough. Their Chicken Caesar Salad did not disappoint as well because of its serving size, it's definitely good for sharing and they did not skimp on the chicken strips. The Poutine (Php 156.00) was disappointing because its taste and serving size isn't what we expected. It was too small - it looked like it was rushed and the fries doesn't have it's usual crisp - the "cheese curds" part of the Poutine wasn't melted at all and their gravy doesn't do much. Another item that disappointed me was their Cheesecake Milkshake (Php 136.00) because I was able to try their other milkshakes and there was no difference - only its presentation - and I was not able to taste even a hint of cheesecake - only by its presentation was I able to figure out it was a cheesecake milkshake. Overall the experience at Diner on 16th was just okay. It's a place that people should visit and get to try when they are within the area. In the afternoon, it's a good place to just hang out and chill by yourself or your friends (they have a beerpong table!). There are power outlets on each table (at the booths) however, they don't have WiFi.

I've also wanted to recreate with a friend that very famous scene from Bande a Parte with Anna Karina wherein they danced in a diner. If you know what I'm talking about, you'd get that vibe once you step in this place. It's like the 60's vintage vibe but instead of being in France, you're in Manila.
