This is the Chevron Gas Station at the corner of Veterans Blvd & Main Street in Redwood City, CA…read more It has a food mart, a carwash, a fairly spacious lot, and multiple islands (with one pump per island). It has a nice location on Veterans Blvd, just a few blocks from Kaiser Hospital. I was just here last week with my coworker. I got gas, some snacks and used the restroom. Sorry, I can't review the car wash. I'm guessing alot of the poor reviews are from car wash users. I have a tip for you: mechanical car washes that use rollers or brushes will leave swirls, streaks, and fine scratches on your paint. "Touchless car washes usually use harsh chemicals to clean your car, then use high pressure spraying to clean it off. If you're okay with all that, then there's no problem. The price of gas was about average for the SF Bay Area. I had to get mid-grade to offset some cheap gas I pumped the night before. I went inside to use the restroom. WOW! This restroom was super clean. It was like a showroom for bathroom fixtures. The food mart was clean too. It was well stocked with all the snacks, drinks, and candies. BTW, do you know why gas stations sell junk food? Very rarely do you see celery sticks and melon balls. Drivers are usually in a hurry. It's a fact that hungry drivers get tired faster, and you don't want to stop again do you? So it's a good idea to grab a drink and a snack for the road. Maybe something to wake you up. I'm sure you'll find something in this food mart. So, average gas prices, clean restroom, and well stocked food mart! Oh, and friendly service! The lady clerk was very friendly and joked about high prices on the snacks. Located between Jefferson & Main St, on Veterans Blvd.

When I did come back the code didn't work and the guy said it expired. I asked if there was an expiration date/notice. He said no. Had to go ask his manager. Came back and was asking me why I didn't use it the same day or the next day. None of their business! Life gets busy. He did an override. Then told me to make sure to use it the day I buy it. Easy solution, just won't buy there again.

Did you even know that there was a gas station up here in this sneaky little center of commerce?…read more This place gets 4 stars for convenience (location for me), price (generally lower than the massive stations), being independent, and having gas pumps that actually flow at a decent pace. Note, these pumps don't have credit card readers in them, so you have to pay inside, which is a pain.

Instead, the cashier asked me if I was old enough to drive, and took several minutes to ring me up. I am almost 20, and although I am small, I do not need this sort of condescension in simple everyday interactions. The man proceeded to insist that I must only be 16, while smiling creepily at me. I told him no, and tried to move things along. He finally rang up the motor oil, and I left as quick as I could. Regardless of how old you think I am because of my size and lack of makeup, I deserve to be treated well. I came for motor oil, and received condescension and sexual harassment. Do not provide this place with business, or let your daughters near the creep that works there.

I had an interesting experience here today…read more First, some key observations: -NO PUBLIC RESTROOM -No carwash -small food shop with lots of stuff -very nice clerk -high gas prices It's mid-afternoon, and I'm driving down Woodside Rd with 1/4 tank of gas. Hmm, I better get gas before getting on Hwy 101-South to San Jose. I spot this Shell Station w/ a Food Shop, and decide to fill up. I carry the Shell gas card (with Premium status), and it gives me 5-cents off per gallon. While it's pumping away, I go into the food shop to checkout the snacks and drinks. OMG! No public restroom and that food shop is tight for space inside. But it's loaded with everything you could want. The usual stuff like: Snacks, drinks, sandwiches, candy, ice cream, etc. FACT: A hungry driver gets tired faster. So grab something to munch on while driving. The young lady working as cashier is very polite and patient with customers. This shop is small inside. When 3 customers come inside, you can barely turn around. I go out expecting the pump (# 3) to be finished. BUT NO! It stopped at the 5.5 gallon mark. Yikes, this is not good. I had to restart the pump, and then went back inside to find out why the pump stopped. The polite cashier told me pump #3 sometimes stops for no reason due to vibrations or shaking. Uh-okay, so the nozzle clicks off due to ground vibration. Okay, so more time to buy more junk food for the road. Gas prices are high here. On Feb 10, 2023, UL REG was $4.85 without discounts. Midgrade and Prem are over $5-gallon. But this station is on Woodside Road. A major roadway leading to freeways. Heavy traffic flow. People like me carry the gas cards of five major brands of gasoline. Shell is top tier gas, and today Shell got my business. This location has no carwash. There is enough room to maneuver pickup trucks, SUVs, and light trucks pulling trailers. Good luck when leaving, there's some tight turns around the islands. Subject: Complaint Regarding Very Bad Customer Service…read more I would like to report a very disappointing experience I had at your Shell station this morning, Sept 25 at approximately 8:30 AM. I am a regular customer who frequently purchases fuel at this location, and I have always had positive interactions with the staff. However, my experience today with a female employee described as having blonde curly hair, tall, chubby was unacceptable. I came into the store to purchase lottery tickets and brought coins that I had carefully counted and organized in advance. My transaction was very simple and should not have required a significant amount of time. Instead of completing my transaction, the employee repeatedly attended to other customers while leaving me standing at the counter without properly finishing my purchase. Although there may have been a language barrier, that should not have prevented her from providing basic customer service, paying attention, or treating me with respect. Throughout the interaction, she appeared uninterested, unfriendly, and dismissive. She did not acknowledge the inconvenience caused, showed no effort to assist me, and came across as very rude. As a result, I spent nearly an hour waiting when my transaction should have taken only a few minutes. I found this treatment particularly disappointing because all of the other employees I have encountered at this location have always been courteous, friendly, and helpful. I am not writing this complaint lightly. As a loyal customer, I believe every customer deserves to be treated respectfully and served in a timely manner. I hope management will review this incident and provide the appropriate coaching and training to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding any actions taken to address this concern.
