I've been to this bar multiple times every time was friendly cordial happy people, tonight not so much she was rude. My beer was empty many times had to wait while she played on her phone. We were in town for our son's football game with a group of about 12. We didn't get service after waiting for 30-minutes at the place around the corner so we came here. We received great service and the food & drinks were good. Plenty of TVs to watch games. After our sons game was over four of us went back for dinner. read more

Menu is limited but they have great food, great service and are very good at roast beef. They cut the meat in front of you, you can literally see every part of your meal being made. Presentation fits the atmosphere (sporty/dive bar). Outdoor patio is very spacious and allows for social distancing. Food tasted really good, dipping sauces were above average. Onion rings were fresh but the sandwich was the star. I ordered the JP beefcake and it was more than enough food. Only 4 stars because of the limited menu and i can't give them 4.5 read more

Neat atmosphere. Great roast beef sandwiches. They were so tender and the meat was actually slightly medium-rare. Put some BBQ sauce on and you'll want another one - if you're still hungry after one. The chili cheese nachos were 'meh'. Nothing special. Just a line of chili and a line of nacho cheese sauce was on the top layer of chips. Fried green beans are tasty! Great bloody marry's with a pretty good sized beer chaser. I think they give what ever is almost gone because the chaser was a little flat. Regardless, the bloody marry had a pickle, lime and green olives in it and weren't too spicy. read more

Stick with the beef. Boneless chicken wings and sauces are of poor quality. It is a sports bar and they struggled to get the right games on.

I have been to this establishment many times. I have to say right off the bat, if you like a meat sandwich, beer and sports. This is the place for you! A small cozy sports bar where their menu is short and to the point. All their sandwiches are pretty darn good and they have a condiment bar where you can put on whatever you please. They have maybe 10 or so tvs with assorted sports on at all times. Fairly quick service and a friendly staff for the most part. read more

Jonny B's is a pretty decent bar in Mankato! Located close to campus and is in a popular area. The food is good, but the menu is really small! No options that could even be considered semi-healthy which isn't a deal breaker knowing that it is mainly a bar. They have superb roast beef sandwiches, which is what I would recommend. The vibe is kind of divey, but like I said, it is a bar. The owner has been there a good majority of the times I have visited and is very friendly and even bought us a round of drinks! Staff is very nice. As a bar I would give it a higher rating, but as an overall bar/restaurant/vibe, I would stick with a 3/5. read more

Best roast beef I've ever had and it's right on campus! Prices could always be better coming from a college student but you pay for the quality. Definitely one of my favorite bars to go to when I'm looking for a good meal and a beer.
