Whoever is training this staff deserves a big shout out because these employees go above and beyond. They take the initiative. They make suggestions. They cheerfully show you where the product is located and share their knowledge. Whether it's locating that one thing you need that they don't have, or locating more than what they have in stock and having it held for you until you can pick it up. They will even special order product for you and call you when it arrives. So nice to have great customer service. I drive over 200 miles just to stock up here. You can't beat their prices. Of course, I had to buy something to support the store and ended up blowing close to $100 on toys, treats and grooming supplies (lucky dogs). It's actually kind of genius to include the free wash as I would have never spent that much without it. I was really disappointed with my curbside pick up experience at this PetSmart…read more I chose curbside because I had a shoulder injury needed help with two 40-pound bags. When I arrived, the phone number on the curbside side was so faded from the sun that was almost impossible to read, so I couldn't call to let the store know I was there. Instead, I had to go inside, stand in line, and then wait while an employee was paged. When my order was finally brought out, I was given it in a shopping cart, and I was singly told to "have a nice day." no one offered to load the heavy bags into my car. That completely defeats the purpose of curbside pick up, special for customers who choose it because they need assistance. Thankfully, I have someone at home who could help me unload the bags, but I still need help getting them into my vehicle. I hope the store replaces the faded curbside signage and better trains employees and what curbside service is supposed to include. Make a big difference for customers with injuries, disabilities or anyone purchasing heavy items.

Over the last two weeks I left 4 messages asking them to please call me back to get one of my pets groomed. This store does not call back, even though the manager of the department says they are supposed to return all calls. Well I was finally at the store today to get my 5lb. toy poodle groomed. Now I am handicapped so I sat my dog down on counter for only a few seconds. Well the groomer immediately tried to shove their collar over my hands and my dogs head, then he suddenly ripped my dog out of my hands telling my its against the NEW policy to set pets on counter. My mistake I did not see the new sticker. However after ripping my dog out of my hands he continued to yell at me while holding my dog in the air in one hand. I immediately asked for my dog back, I told him I'm not putting up with how he was abusing my dog nor his total attitude towards me. Then he tells me "Well, its your own damn fault!" There were two other customers waiting in line behind me. One woman asked him why hes being a total jerk. "That's it, I'm not grooming your dog either for calling me a jerk!" So two of us walked out because of him having a bad morning and screaming at people, abusing our dogs. I called the store from the parking lot and got a female store manager. I explained everything to her and even went as far as making sure she knows I am a letter writer and will be writing to the corporate office "customerrelations@petco.com because she barely spoke. She hinted she would have a talk with the groomer and she was very sorry I walked out before talking to her. I won't hold my breath thinking she will actually follow up on the complaint. So I am writing here and also sending to corporate offices.

A line of customers was forming while the manager on duty sat at the front counter texting on her phone. She didn't greet anyone, didn't acknowledge the line, and didn't make any effort to help people who were clearly waiting. For reference, the manager was a blonde overweight woman in her mid 50's working the front counter during my visit. I asked for her name so I could follow up with corporate about the experience and she refused to give it, which tells you a lot about the accountability at this location. Customers were standing there waiting while she stayed focused on her phone like the store was closed or something. No urgency, no customer service, nothing. A manager sets the tone for the entire store, and if this is the example being set, it explains why the experience felt so chaotic and unprofessional. Petco corporate seriously needs to look at what's happening at the Henderson location. Customers should not be ignored while staff sit at the front texting.

I also want to give credit to Flamingo Pet Clinic for helping treat Chewie and taking care of him. Because of their care, Chewie is doing much better now, and that has been a huge relief for us. They use towels that are stained and dirty. So bring your own The shampoo and conditioner is not strong so bring your own. They have a mat to lay down on the tub so it's softer for your dog. But after the wash, residual soapy water and hair lie underneath this math and when you go to use the velocity dryer in your dog, that dirty water gets shot up to your pet. So I take the mat out rinse off the tub to clear soap and hair, and use the towel to dry my dog and lay on the CLEAN tub for my CLEAN dog. This way when you're using the strong velocity dryer, everything can get dry without getting re- wet from water sitting underneath the mat. A employee tells me I can not have the towel under my dog. When the sign says do not put towels on the ground/floor. Apparently laying a towel down in the clean tub where I just scrubbed my dogs feet CLEAN, is going to STAIN the towels that THEY STILL KEEP FOR USE!!???! I get if you're going to have that rule but at least have towels that are not stained for use I didn't even WANT to use it on my dog.
