WOW unbelievably delicious - everyone loved the meat but as a vegan I enjoyed a zucchini taco that was perfectly sauced up, super rich and delicious. Jonathan's phone number has changed however.... this needs to be updated. phone # is 951-258-5928 highly recommend giving Jonathan a call for your next party / event read more

Update: I had hired Jonathan again. This time it was for my 40th high school reunion. Time flies. Tyrick was our guy. He was early and did a great job all night. We did run out of one meat early and only had one bag of chips; however, the rest of the food made up for the deficiencies. The mango salsa is still the standout. Please note that Jonathan gets his business by word of mouth and uses text messages for his communication so if you're okay with a more informal booking, you'll be fine. I've used this business for many years and have never been let down. read more

Thank you Jonathan for making my daughter's birthday a blast. The food was wonderful and everyone is still raving about the Tacos. I was concerned about hiring someone that I didn't know as to whether they would actually show up. Jonathan not only showed up but came early, and made himself at home. The food was fantastic with a nice presentation. Jonathan was nice enough to stay until I brought out the cake and gave me the left-overs. Thank you Jonathan, can't wait for my next event! read more

Jonathon came by and just served his tacos at my company lunch today. He was very easy to work with and was very prompt. He served about 50 employees and did so in a very professional and timely manner. Also his pricing is unbeatable. The food was delicious and all my coworkers can't stop talking about it. The steak and chicken were great, but my favorite was the pork, it was amazing! He let me know that he preps his meats the day before so they can marinate all day. He also had fresh made mango salsa, onions, cilantro, and red & green sauce. There was also rice, chips, and beans served. He made it very easy for us by providing plates and utensils. The only thing I had to get was the drinks. I look forward to having Jonathon serve at another one of our company events and I would highly recommend him for any events you might have! read more

The best I have ever had! Jonathan catered about 50 guests at my sister laws surprise birthday party. His food and service was superb! The price was unbeatable! He provided three types of meats. Chicken , steak, and el pastor. I made sure to try all three. It was delicious! His mango salsa was my favorite. Not too spicy, just perfect! He also provided red sauce, and of course rice and beans. He was on time and everyone could not stop raving about him. We will definitely be using him for many other events to come. Sure glad I found him! read more

Everyone was impressed with Jonathan's Mobile Taco. He came early just to make sure he had enough time to set up and have food ready for the guests. He catered for about 60 people and everyone kept telling me how smart it was for me to have a taco stand. Everyone loved the food, the different options of meat and salsa. He was making the "Jonathan Special" for a few guys and they could not stop telling me how tasty it was and creative. There was still a lot of food leftover and he left everything so that people can keep eating. I totally recommend him to anyone who's throwing a big party and want quality food and service. He and his staff were very friendly. He was on top of things and overall I was very happy with his service. I'm so glad I found him on Yelp. He will be catering all my parties from here on out! Thanks so much Jonathan. Pleasure meeting you! read more

These guys catered a party I had Saturday night in Venice. The guys were super early, set up incredibly fast, were very professional, and the food was absolutely amazing! Every guest commented to me about how good the food was! The tacos were excellent and the "fusion" was spectacular. They provided plates and plastic ware and they helped make the party a huge success. I'm definitely going to hire them again and I'm sure multiple people from the party will hire them in the near future. These guy are the best! 5 starHs!!! Be aware that this is a taco cart. Similar to a hot dog cart. It's about 7 ft tall and is set up very quickly and its very sufficient for any type of party whether it be a backyard, street side, or indoors. read more

I catered a 50th birthday party for 40 guests and our chef was Ty and he was very nice and professional. 4 stars was due to arrived half hour late due to had to fill propane tanks but stayed longer. The food was really good, included 3 meet, rice, beans, chips, plates, forks, sauces: red, green verde and mango, all were good.the service was great even Ty made a special plate and delivered to the birthday girl. I would use them again read more

Jonathan's the taco dude I'll be using from now on. I've used other services before, and they're good, but Jonathan was just as good, food was absolutely awesome, and the price was definitely the best. I threw a surprise bday for my wife in our backyard, and for about 30 people, we almost finshed all the food that was supposed to be for 50 ($350). The asada, al pastor, and pollo were great. The pico, onions/cilantro, other salsas were great. Tortillas, great. Rice and beans, great. Jonathan and his guy John, great. They were prompt, setup was quick, the food was prepared right there, and everyone just loved it. Their service and attitude were friendly, comfortable, and professional. With all the other shit I had to worry about for the surprise bday, food was thankfully, not one I had to worry about. We like to throw a lot of parties in our backyard, and so for the years to come, I'll only be using Jonathan when tacos are needed (they're always needed). read more

We were hosting a NYE party at our house and last minute we decided it would be a cool idea to have a taco cart. Sure enough we called Jonathan the day before NYE and he came through to make tacos at 12AM the very first few moments of 2014. It was a great treat for my guests especially after all the drinking! He was polite, courteous and made some amazing food. I can't thank him enough for his great service. We had the pleasure of having Veggie, Shrimp and Chicken tacos! read more

We hired Jonathan for our daughters graduation party of 50 people. He was THE BEAT taco guy we have had. On the fly he made Vegan tacos before he grilled the meat!!! He didn't hesitate to tell us he could feed the Vegans when we initially didn't request this. He also made a delicious side dish on the fly as well. He was professional and friendly. We will use him for sure next time. The food was DELICIOUS! His salsa was BOMB!! read more

Jonathan was on top of everything!! He worked my wedding in long beach and they were a big hit. Not only was the flavor on-point but Jonathan worked well with the crowd, polite and courteous. He was eager to serve, came early, stayed late, got ahold of me early for confirmation and directions. We'd love to work with him again! A big thanks for helping us at the Cerritos Bahia Jonathan! read more

When I called Jonathan two days before my event that I needed catered for 60 people, he came to the rescue and took care of everything. He was always available over the phone and through text for updates on the menu and ETA. He created a customized menu for the my guests including vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options. My favorite was the salmon and portobello taco, it was amazing! He arrived with all his supplies and condiments for the perfect plate of tacos. The food was authentic and delicious, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely hire Jonathan again for future event. read more

Horrible service! I was very disappointed with this service due to the fact that Jonathan didn't deliver what he promised. First of all, he sent someone else on behalf of him. Second, the guy didn't bring enough meat for the expected people (minimum service of 50 people is what he advertises), instead he brought for 30 people. Third, the guy brought half of the Horchata. Fourth, never supplied with the plates, napkins and utensils because they decided to use ours instead of the ones he promised with the service. Fifth, the guy took off after setting up to pick up the rest of the Horchata. Sixth, tacos weren't ready until one hour and fifteen minutes later. Seventh, the guy was always on his phone! Eight, the guy ran out of meat!!!! Lastly, the guy decided to take off an hour early without asking me first. I will never hire this business ever again. It completely sucks! read more

Bomb tacos! The beef tacos are good! They cater, so you can really get a good deal. Birthdays, parties, graduation parties, they do it. 400 C notes to do a party of 50. They are very professional. Great food! read more

Heard great things about this place HOWEVER, Rude customer service. Was just inquiring about a catering. The guy who answered the phone presented himself like he wasn't a business owner but rather he was hiding from the repo man or bill collector. Him: hello? Me: yes, hi is this Jonathan's Mobile Tacos Him: who's this? Me: I'm just inquiring about catering for July 5th. He said they were booked. Which is fine. But the guy was rude and obnoxious. Even if he wasn't booked, it would've definitely second guessed hiring this guy. How would he or his staff talk to my guests? Sure he may have 5 stars but unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to try his food. He won't be getting any business from me and I can refer people to someone else next time. read more

It saddens me to give this business such low ratings but I'm being kind. We wanted to use his service for our daughter's birthday and decided to contact him. We scheduled a taste testing and the owner claimed he'd call to confirm but never did. My husband called and left a couple messages but no reply. That really pissed me off and disappointed us. Really bad business practices. read more

I work at a corporate and every month we have a company luncheon. We called a few different taco places to see if they could provide what we wanted, but a few of the places said they couldn't, it was out of our budget, they didn't have everything we wanted, and some even just told us to call us a different place and suggested places for us. We were about to give up and find a different type of food for this month's luncheon. However, one of my co-workers was able to find Jonathan's taco service on yelp. We were a bit hesitant to use him at first because we did not known anyone who used his service. We called him the next day and he offered us a great deal. We had about 50-60 people and he said he could give it to us for $350. Great price! (It's a bit more if you use your card though.) We wanted to start serving people at 12pm sharp so he came early, got prepared, and was able to do that. He said he got up at 6AM to prepare everything for our lunch. We had three different meat options-- carne asada (beef), chicken, and al pastor (pork). I wasn't able to try the beef because I was one of the last ones to get my food, so he ran out of it, but he told me his personal favorite was the pork anyway. I realllllllyyy enjoyed the pork. The chicken to me was a bit mediocre, but I think it's because I ate it after I ate the flavorful and juicy pork first. When he first arrived, we thought it would not be enough food, considering at our company, people love to eat. We even went out to get more food, but got a phone call telling us that he kept saying it was okay and not to worry. We ended up not getting the extra food. Each employee got about 3-5 tacos each, and it was plenty. I had 5 tacos to myself-- 4 pork and 1 chicken. Must I say again, the pork one was delicious!! Jonathan told me that the tacos taste the best with the mango pico de gallo with the green sauce on top, which is what I did. IT WAS SO GOOD. Jonathan also provided beans and rice as well, but I'm not much of a rice or bean eater, so I didn't really try that. His services included plates, the meat, beans, rice, mango picodegallo, reg salsa, green sauce, onions and cilantro, as well as tortilla chips. The tortilla chips aren't like the tostitos ones you find at the market. These were thick, crunchy, and I liked them a lot more. The only thing was that he ran out of the mango pico de gallo pretty fast. Seemed like everyone loved it. Other than that, everything was perfect and everyone was extremely satisfied with the food. He is extremely nice and would recommend him to anyone who wants to use his services! read more

This guy is the best.... I called him last minute for a party that was happening at our home and he made it happen. We were only having 25 people and most say the minimum is 50. The food and service was great. We can't wait to use him again. Oh and when I was talking to the guy he also said that they do vegetarian food too. It was good to know considering I have vegans in my family. read more

How good are they? I hired them for a party, and all the guests were asking for their cards to hire them for theirs. Simple, but they care and actually make everything taste fresh and authentic. read more

Jonathan set up in our cozy backyard for a fundraising event about a year ago, and I've been looking for any excuse to hire him again! He arrived early to set up and provided plenty of delicious tacos, salsas and sides for 50+ guests. I'm a bit of a foodie that's picky about what I pay money for, and I'd happily have Jonathan over to cook for my guests and me again! Note to self: next time, ignore the guests for a while and eat more. read more

I give three stars for the food and three stars for service. The meats themselves were delicious. BUT the rice and beans were not, not at all. The rice was dry and looked liked it had been reheated many, many times. The beans had not flavor at all. The salsas looked watered down, the onion/cilantro was actually a container with chopped onion and cilantro sprinkled in with the onion. Three stars for service only because Jonathan never told me it wouldn't be him covering our event. The entire time we communicated he never once mentioned it wouldn't be him. Overall, the price was decent but I wouldn't hire hime again. I would much rather pay more for better tasting food. read more

We contacted Jonathan to cater our son's first birthday party for 60 people. They came early to set up and the food was delicious. Everyone was pleased. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking for a caterer. I believe the person that came to our party was Atilla, he's an awesome guy! Very professional and friendly. read more

I used Jonathans Mobile Taco Service for my 30th birthday at the Angels parking lot for a huge tailgate party on opening weekend. From beginning to end Jonathan was went above and beyond to provide not just AMAZING food but excellent service. He was at the gate 2 and half hours before the game to be one of the first to park and start setting up. He was all set up and ready to serve at just the right time when all my guests started to show up. The tacos were to die for, the aguas frescas were delicious and the service that him and his assistants provided was 5 star. Super friendly guys that will be earning my business again. read more

Good tacos. I especially enjoyed the chicken tacos. Excellent service too. We hired them for our church's luncheon. They were great!

We have used several different taco carts for many events but non compared to Jonathan's! When we were forced to change the date he was pleasant and willing to accommodate with the change. And the food was amazing! Great server who not only served well but packaged up all the leftovers for us. I strongly recommend Jonathan's and will be using them again for our next party read more

We hired Jonathan's Mobile Taco Service for a company lunch for 35 people. Jonathan was able to come out on short notice. (I called him on Friday morning for Monday lunch catering). He was professional, very reasonably priced and showed up early, which I greatly appreciate. The employees enjoyed the tacos. Jonathan was friendly and cleaned up quickly and effectively. He left the uneaten taco meat, tortillas and toppings with us, which was awesome. Jonathan mentioned that he can also make pastas, Mongolian BBQ, seafood dishes and a number of other cuisines. I'll definitely call him again when we need catering again. read more

If you need a caterer for your party, i do recommend Jonathans mobile taco. I initially gave him a date which turned out to be the wrong one (not checking my calendar) and when he confirmed a few days b4 the party i told him that its the wrong day. But he still managed to fix everything and accomodated us in his schedule. They came in an hour early to set up and they will bring everything that they needed for their taco, u dont have to worry about anything. Food was great! I dont eat chicken taco that much but their's is good and not dry. Asada and al pastor is amazing! We also added a hotdog wrapped in bacon :) job well done! Cant go wrong with Jonathans. Guests are happy. Would use their service again read more

Jonathan catered a suprise birthday party i threw for my brother at the end of April. His crew of his brother and sister in law arrived really early and were left on their own to set up, since i was still decorating, and they did so very considerately. The tacos were a hit!! Compared to other taco caterers, i have to say Jonathons tacos tasted the best! Jonathan threw in bacon wrapped hot dogs and extra yummy condiments as well for an incredibly reasonable price. We had a lot more people than expected but we still had plenty of food to share and even had plenty left overs!! I will absolutely use Jonathons service again for my next big event!! read more

We used Jonathan and his team for my brother's co-ed baby shower and were so impressed with the service and food. They made the party so easy on us, set up quickly, gave me ideas on what else to get, and made the party just perfect!!! The tacos were so good.....My husband had 7!! And they gave us leftovers when the party was over. They are the nicest guys and were so great to work with! The margarita machine is also an absolute must. Excellent tacos & service! First time experiencing these tacos @ a friend's birthday. The tacos were full of flavor - my favorite was the Al Pastor! Of course I'm always hungry so he personally made me a plate of the Al Pastor like I like it! He made me feel like one of the family rather than just another catering customer! read more
