No one likes breaking bones but sometimes let's face it, shit happens. So when I crashed a mountain bike, breaking my collarbone into multiple pieces, severing some muscles along with it for good measure, I needed medical assistance ASAP. I really didn't have time to shop around for a surgeon. This wasn't a nose job, this was my shoulder snapped in half, bulging out of my back. Not exactly time for a second opinion, just cross my fingers that the on-call knew what he was doing... Enter Dr Nissanoff. Within minutes I could tell I was in good hands. There was no doubt in his voice, his plans were matter of fact as he told me what was going to happen, no hesitation. He'd apparently done this surgery a number of times and actually specialized in shoulder and clavicle injuries. Other surgeons in that hospital ask him to operate on them when needed, so if someone was going to cut me open it might as well be the man that other professionals trust the most. It's now just shy of a month after the surgery and I feel far better than I thought possible. I figured my summer was screwed, anticipating months of slings and pain. Little did I know I'd be in physical therapy by week three, back to about 95% range of motion by week four, and only a little stiffness/soreness here and there. I have a plate and nine screws holding all the pieces of my collarbone together but beyond that I feel exceptional, my chest and back muscles were reattached with very skilled hands. Time and time again I hear encouraging words, "Wow, your surgeon really stitched that well, you'll barely have a scar!" Lately it's been. "How are you practically back to normal in four weeks?" Yesterday it was "They had you lifting *weights* in physical therapy? Already??" I'd like to bullshit and pretend I have super healing powers, that I'm just magically about four weeks ahead of schedule in physical therapy, but I'm not going to steal the credit here. My trust in Dr Nissanoff was obviously well founded, and for that I thank him. If someone is granted the time to shop around for a surgeon, I'd recommend him without hesitation. What I would NOT recommend is crashing a mountain bike on a trail of rocks at about 25 miles per hour, especially if you have to hike a mile and a half out to the road in shitty cycling shoes afterwards. Hey, at least I'm back in one piece. Thanks to the doc of course.

I can't recommend Michael at Fabrizio Physical Therapy enough…read more I came in after dealing with a torn rotator cuff and honestly felt like I had tried just about everything -- different exercises, Rolfing, ShoulderReliever.com, and anything else I could find -- with little to no lasting improvement. I was close to giving up and accepting that my shoulder might never feel normal again. Then I started working with Michael. From the beginning, he had an excellent bedside manner, really listened, and approached the process with a "never quit" attitude. He was patient, thoughtful, and consistent, and he adjusted the work as I progressed instead of just giving me a generic routine. That made a huge difference. What stood out most was that Michael genuinely cared about getting me back to normal. He pushed when I needed it, explained what we were doing, and helped me stay committed even when progress felt slow. I don't think I would have recovered the way I did without him. I'll honestly miss working with him. Great therapist, great person, and a great experience overall. I highly recommend Michael and Fabrizio Physical Therapy to anyone dealing with a shoulder injury or looking for a physical therapist who truly pays attention and sticks with you.

I tore a ligament in my left shoulder and, after looking at my MRI, the doctor said I had to have surgery to regain full mobility in it. I felt severe pain every time I tried to raise it over my head and I could not lift much with it. After a few months of this I found my way to David Fabrizio's office. After just the first visit where he maneuvered my arm in many mysterious ways and massaged deep into the shoulder tissue, I felt such tremendous relief. Two more visits and my arm felt pretty much brand new! I could not believe it. David is a miracle worker and I got my arm back without surgery. I will be forever grateful to him for that. He also happens to be a great guy with the warmest energy and sense of humor.

I have waited quite some time to write this review. I have been visiting Dr. Ash for several weeks…read morenow twice a week and just recently started physical therapy there as well. I'm someone who's hypermobile and I have a lot of various issues with my body, including an old shoulder injury that I had surgery on. All of that had compounded into my dislocating a rib, which is how I found myself at the office. I have been through over a dozen clinics and therapists and chiropractors in my life and can genuinely say that this has been one of the best experiences and it's genuinely giving me hope that I will be able to not have to constantly live in discomfort. Dr. Ash listens intently to everything that you have to say and he's not afraid to allow your input to guide what he does. You spend a significant amount of time in his office for appointments doing a variety of things to help address whatever your issue is. For me it's an array of manual adjustment, stretching, and compression therapy. I'd after my first session with Dr. ashes relatively new physical therapist , I am excited to continue going. He spends significant one on one time with you and really make sure that you're actually understanding and gaining the benefits of the exercises - not just putting you through the motions. I can't count the number of times I found a great physical therapist, but then was passed off to doing the actual exercises with an intern. That's not the case here. 10/10 recommend and will keep coming back and genuinely can't believe I found somewhere that might actually be able to help genuinely fix my body. Only other call out is make sure you read the parking signs because there's only street parking available and I wouldn't recommend parking in the one hour meter slots unless you're sure that your appointment will be less than that time. If you're willing to go 3 to 4 blocks away from the office, you'll find easy 2 hour free parking and honestly, you should walk around after your appointment anyways to help everything settle in.

And I say this not simply because I am here as an inpatient, but because of the way this facility treats me as a human being. Here, dignity, respect, compassion, and the value of every human life are not just words spoken to patients; they are values demonstrated through actions every single day. Words cannot fully express the honor and gratitude I feel for being under the care of such extraordinary people.I know my words may sound like an exaggeration, but I assure you, they are not. CRI has given me what I expected from a healthcare facility, but more importantly, it has blessed me with what my heart and soul needed most during this difficult chapter of my life: compassion, understanding, comfort, and the reassurance that I am more than just a patient. I am a person who matters. Please know that this institute truly lives up to its name and its mission. I would wholeheartedly recommend CRI to any family member, friend, or loved one who may need care and assistance. When someone you love is going through a difficult time, you want to know they are in the hands of people who genuinely care. At CRI, I have experienced that care firsthand. They don't simply promise excellence; they demonstrate it through their actions, their kindness, and the way they make you feel seen, heard, respected, and valued. To every person who has played a part in my care, thank you. You have touched my heart in ways that words could never fully explain. During a time when life has presented me with challenges I once again have to expect, you have given me reasons to feel grateful, comforted, and blessed. From the very depths of my heart, THANK YOU, CRI, for being more than a healthcare institution. Thank you for being a place where humanity shines through, where compassion is felt, and where people are treated with the dignity they deserve. You don't just care for people; you make a difference in their lives. And you have certainly made a difference in mine. With heartfelt gratitude and admiration, thank you for everything you do. You are truly AWESOME!

I understand because I did the same thing. Early September my Dad suffered a stroke and the doctors at Cedar Sinai said my Dad was a candidate to come here. So naturally I looked CRI up. Lots of mixed reviews so I can only tell you about our experience. Out of the 18 days my Dad was there, I was with him for 16 of those day & nights. So here it goes for my Dads stay on the 6th Flor - Nurses are amazing. Hilda, Ellin, Nellie and they went above and beyond every single time they were with my Dad. They were very kind. - Melissa from Food Services was kind, attentive and always making sure my Dad knew what food options he had. She's amazing! - Sonia with House Keeping, always making sure we had everything we needed. Including me. - Therapist: Jackie (PT), Laurent (OT) and Hailey (ST) did everything they can to help my Dad get better. They were patient & kind. NOW THESE PEOPLE WENT ABOVE & BEYOND FOR MY DAD. Physical Therapist: Lindsay & Josh. You both stood out above the rest. Josh was in training and he did great! Lindsay you are INCREDIBLE! Thank you for encouraging and pushing my Dad! You really made him work while also training Josh. He's going to be amazing because of you! I appreciate you both so much for pouring into my dad. Having you for therapy would always bring a big smile to his face. Nurse Assistant: JEREMY! This man needs a RAISE! Out of everybody there he spent the most time with my dad. He gained my dad's trust and my dad loved him. He was always kind, funny, attentive. He always made sure my dad was comfortable and was patient with him and took his time with whatever he needed. He was also very respectful not only to me but to my dad. Treated him like a really good human. I will be eternally grateful I will never forget him. If you have made it this far, one of the biggest suggestions I can give to you is make sure you are there to advocate for your loved one. If you notice I have not named any of the doctors because I had a terrible experience with the first assigned doctor. Terrible bed side manner and in and out like a toaster oven. I had to remove him from my Dads. I did get to speak with the medical director CHRISTOPHER BADOUKIAN however it seamed more like a "save face" room call so I wouldn't file a grievance against Dr. Shin for minimizing, my dad's symptoms and delaying care. Regardless I still give this place five stars because of the wonderful THERAPIST & SUPPORT STAFF they have here. They truly wanted me Dad to get better. ADVICE. ADVOCATE for yourself and your loved one. DON'T LET THE DOCTORS RUSH YOU & SPEAK UP. If you or your loved one put in the work, YOU WILL SEE PROGRESS. Still 5 Stars.

I cannot recommend Dr. Marc and Dr. Joe at the Stem Cell Institute highly enough…read more After suffering an MCL injury, I was weighing several options, including surgery and wearing a CTI brace. Rather than rushing me toward an invasive procedure, they took the time to truly listen to my goals. As someone who wanted to get back to an active lifestyle and back on the ocean as safely as possible, they carefully explained every detail of my ultrasound scans, the specific damage to my knee, and all of the available treatment options. I never felt pressured. I felt educated. Together we decided on regenerative treatment, giving my body the opportunity to heal itself. Six weeks later, I'm back on the ocean riding my board--something I wasn't sure would be possible so quickly. What impressed me most was their honesty. At my follow-up, they told me I was healing so well that I didn't even need another treatment. That level of integrity is rare. It showed me that their priority is the patient's outcome, not selling additional procedures. I appreciate the time they spent with me, the patience they showed answering my questions, and the genuine care they demonstrated throughout the entire process. They were recommended to me by a friend who had an outstanding experience, and I'm grateful for that referral. Now I'm happy to pay it forward. If you're facing orthopedic surgery or considering your options for a ligament or joint injury, I strongly encourage you to consult with Dr. Marc and Dr. Joe before making a final decision. It may not be the right solution for everyone, but in my case it helped me avoid surgery, get back to doing what I love, and let my body heal naturally. I couldn't be more thankful.
