I sent Lisa gross pictures of the wound and the bandages every day, and it was enough to ruin the strongest of stomachs.

I had to have a surgery asap and couldn't get an appointment anywhere. But Dr Melikian's assistant was able to get me into a surgery center in 2 weeks. Paperwork and all communication were super responsive. Best in class, absolutely recommending to anyone in need of a spine specialist

Although I live in Long Beach and had limited time to visit in person, Dr. Melikian was kind enough to initiate contact via email and responded promptly. He arranged a quick phone consultation at no charge. He came across as very amiable, genuinely concerned, and highly knowledgeable about the subject. During our conversation, he brought up additional tests and treatment options I wasn't previously aware of. The call was definitely productive and appreciated. My only gripe, generally speaking--not specific to his practice--is that stem cell treatments are exorbitantly priced and not covered by insurance. Expect to pay anywhere from $6,000 to $9,000 or more for various stem cell treatment options. So, not a go just yet until I figure out how to come up with the money, I will have to live with my back pain.

BIG FAT EGO. The…read moremainstream insurance-based medical system is a dinosaur and completely broken. My experience with Dr. Benmoshe is proof positive. This doctor is self righteous, arrogant and condescending. He is dismissive and aggressive. if you can't be crammed neatly into a diagnostic code with a corresponding drug, you are gaslit and treated with disdain for trying to help yourself. Doctors at Cedar Sinai are closed minded and 20 years behind on the current research. They hang on to their dusty, antiquated bureaucracy for dear life because of the money they paid for their precious education and patients suffer the consequences. This is precisely why concierge medicine is on the rise and trust in the old guard is bottoming out. AI is coming for your job sooner than you realize. And with a better bedside manner to boot. Get ready Dr. Benmoshe. Your way of practicing medicine is going extinct and I can't wait for you to reap what you sow. if you would like further details regarding my interactions with this physician, feel free to message me.

I am compelled to write this review after a series of deeply troubling interactions with the office…read moremanager, Unique (I don't know how she spells her name) at Dr. Gantwerker's practice. On my first visit, I witnessed her rude behavior firsthand during a phone call with another patient. It was so abrupt and discourteous that I nearly intervened. This initial impression sadly foreshadowed my subsequent experiences. I should have walked out of the office then and there but was not there to see the receptionist/office manager. Attempting to navigate my health care, precisely the daunting prospect of spinal surgery, I sought compassion and professionalism. Instead, my journey was marred by her curt and unprofessional demeanor. Despite my efforts to engage in constructive dialogue and secure an appointment to discuss my surgery with Dr. Gantwerker, her obstructive actions inhibit my attempts at each turn. I called back and put her on speaker. I had two friends with me listening so they could witness firsthand what I had been dealing with. She kept arguing with me over nothing, so I requested that she "please have Dr. Gantwerker call me" to discuss my concerns directly, only to be met with her not letting me speak but speaking over me. She then raised her tone and insisted I seek surgery elsewhere, then abruptly hung up. Such behavior is unbecoming of someone in her position and detrimental to the patient's well-being and the practice's reputation. I firmly believe that if Dr. Gantwerker were aware of her conduct, he would not permit her to represent his practice. Her decision to place personal sentiments above professional obligations, especially in critical healthcare matters, is unacceptable. My experiences have left me no choice but to seek care elsewhere, a decision made with a heavy heart given the excellent rapport and understanding I had developed with Dr. Gantwerker himself. Being treated with such disregard, especially when facing a significant medical procedure, is disheartening. It's a stark reminder of one individual's attitude's impact on a patient's healthcare journey. Since I did not receive a call back from Dr. Gantwerker as I requested, I cannot, in good conscience, entrust my health to a practice where personal biases override patient care. It is a disservice to the dedicated professionals in the medical field and, most importantly, to the patients they serve.
