When I arrived, you can't park outside unless you use Vallet parking, the guy I saw never once asked to see the info I'd been told to bring, Stewart Willis was sitting in his office and made an excuse to pop in and say hi. The advisor made a few notes , most of my questions were about taxes, IRA conversions, avoiding Medicare Premiums like I'd seen on the tv show. He said he wasn't a tax guy but they had them and it was too close to tax time for them to do my taxes. He talked about investing my money and I had to ask what they charged. I was told I would get an email in a few days re a plan for investing. Never got an email or any contact. After several weeks I called them, was eventually put through to the guy I had seen who apologized for letting me fall through the cracks. He sent me an email requesting secure information most of which I had taken to the meeting. Didn't mention accessing funds or IRA conversions etc. I didn't send anything and have heard nothing since! My appointment was in March!! Draw your own conclusion re what you see on the show and what they actually want you to do!!

One volunteer who represents schwab helped guide us set up a special needs trust so that this money can earn interest for our child's benefit. As we set the account up, Schwab offered us a debit card for the easy of using funds as needed. After many months of caring for our child we noticed Schwab was "borrowing us" the money and charging us interest. A lot of interest!!!! When we realized this we called and they told us we set the account that way. Why wouldn't they explain this to us. Why would we "borrow" money that is out there for the child's benefit. When we brought it to their attention they said, nothing they can do. We spoke to many people who never called back. Then wrote a letter, no resolution.

Fidelity froze my accounts and they are refusing to release my assets to me. I have a home mortgage payment that is due and has been set up for automatic payment out of my account. With my accounts frozen and no access to my money I can't pay my mortgage payment. After much conversation Fidelity will send money to my bank to cover today's mortgage payment but no more than that and when it will arrive they can't tell. They are refusing to give me timely access to my money. Complaint goes to the regulators next.
