Widespread incompetence. Nice people, but they routinely fail to do their job. On two separate occasions (2025 and around 2022), my homeowners insurance lapsed with no warning from them. I was willing to forgive it the first time, but not the second. Perhaps even more unbelievably, on both occasions I was the one who brought the lapse in coverage to their attention. While they apologized when this was brought to them, that does not make up for this level of ineptitude. Quite simply, they have no system in place to catch issues like this--something that should concern any potential customer, especially high-net-worth individuals. read more

They sold me a car insurance policy with Progressive. Paid my premiums in one lump some for the entire year for a decade. But when you are in an accident, no one is there for you. I was in a car accident 2 weeks ago and still have not talked to my claims adjuster. All B&P will do for me is connect me to a worthless message taker at Progressive that promises a call back that same day but it never happens. I've left 10 messages in 2 weeks and still have not talked to a live person yet. Do not recommend. I understand that B&P does not control Progressive but they vouch for them by selling me their policy AND they should be of more assistance when their customers are getting the runaround. read more

I just had an incredibly rude conversation with a Toni King that was supposed to send me an electronic copy of my insurance policy. First off, I tried to take care of this myself but apparently the insurer doesn't have log on capability for property policies. Secondly, I was upset by the notion that I was paying for 2 insurance policies this whole time. Granted I was mistaken about this second policy being set up by the mortgage company and that I was never refunded. However, I updated the insurance brokers with any new information I received and thought I was well on my way to being done with all this when I hung up with a new lady I've never interacted with before. Apparently, my name is being tossed around the office today with accompanying eye rolls. The secretary is giving me attitude about Lisa being my account manager ("we don't have a Linda"). Lisa was the most professional of the bunch, telling me Toni was supposed to send me the email. Toni gets on the phone and tells me she's received ALL my emails and EVERYTHING is being handled and she's sending me that email and to have a NICE day. I'd LOVE to Toni! If you would do your job and send this policy to my mortgage company so I don't have to be involved. Better yet, send them the bills so this doesn't keep happening! I'm sure I can expect this electronic copy of my policy any day now. How long does it take to send an email?? RIDICULOUS customer service! read more

I used to use a Geico for my personal auto and home insurance and switch to Bennett and Porter about 6 to 7 months ago and have never looked back. The customer service has been amazing and my agent Kyle Graf has been so easy to work with and so accommodating for anything that I have needed. Not to mention that he saved me several hundred dollars a year on my auto and home insurance!!! I also switched from Geico Commercial to Bennett and Porter insurance for my commercial auto insurance plan and my agent is Eric Dahl. I just recently filed a claim and I can't tell you how helpful Eric was in helping me through that claim and I also found out in that process that Eric was smart enough to add the correct coverage on my auto insurance when I first signed up to make sure that I was fully protected and ended up saving me thousands of dollars because of it in this one claim alone. Also not to mention that I now pay about $4000 less a year because of switching over to Bennett importer insurance plus getting a way better coverage insurance policy. This is not exaggerated at all. I really couldn't believe how much money they have been able to save me! It's been a win all around and I cannot recommend them enough. We have had insurance policies with B&P for 5 properties and 1 car since 2012, and we never had never tried to make a claim until this month. While B&P have been very good at collecting our premiums, we did not know how they would be at dealing with a claim until now. They failed miserably. Our rental house developed a pinhole leak in a plastic pipe, and this problem was reported to B&P the same day that we learned of it. The insurance company adjuster was not impressive in how he inspected and communicated on this issue, and they have rejected our claim because they said the leak was old and the policy has 'weeks, months, and years' clause. We tried to engage the broker, B&P, to help us understand our policy, as we thought B&P would represent our interests, but they were not helpful. When we asked what type of policy would have covered this, they recommended we get sewer backup coverage for extra cost. The entire process of assessing the issue and damages has been confusing, and we are now consulting with lawyers and preparing a lawsuit to cover the damages. read more

Kyle Graf is incredible, give him a little time & he can tell you who, what, where, when & how (much it will be)....7 months ago we needed homeowners ins, Kyle handled everything and at that time I asked for a quote for auto, price was right but we really wanted policy to include OEM parts on auto parts replacement, he never pressured us once. (Through my research I found very few auto policies will use only OEM parts, but the price of policy is high). Fast forward 7 months, one phone call to Kyle and we now have home & auto policies with Bennett & Porter. Called today, Deb kindly put me through to Jennifer and she answered ALL my questions in less than 4 minutes, that, my friends, is great customer-service. If you're frustrated with your ins company ( I was a 20+ year policy holder/roadside membership with AAA who couldn't answer my policy questions over the phone!) Eric Dahl and Toni King!!! First Eric, I own a small business that Eric helped me with establishing insurance for 6 years ago!!! I have to confess in the world of networking the grass seems to be greener on the other side and so for a bit I left Eric to go with another carrier... BIG MISTAKE! Eric has been there day and night even helping answering a question that was of urgent matter after hours! He is there for his clients and his customer service is above the rest- he needs to give seminars on how he does it because it is unsurpassed. The last amazing thing he helped me with is he helped me save over a 1000.00 a year on a policy he doesn't even write. Who does that??? I do NOT recommend this agency at all! Furthermore, I REALLY advise anyone who has Kyle Graf as their agent to consider asking to be assigned a new agent or go to a completely different agency all together. I was widowed almost 7 months ago and since that time Kyle has given me bad advice or been tactless to the extreme.  I just had to email his manager to forbid him to contact me while I suffer one more month of his agencies management before my broker of record takes effect. Don't bother! We have gone thru 4 different reps in the last 3 years, no notice, not word and of course when we call, the secretary who has been bought off for the day, tries to push us to another salesperson. Every year, we ask for a review and it always comes back " we have the best pricing out there". Just did a quote and it came back $500 a year cheaper.....seriously? We have a rental condominium in Scottsdale which was insured by State Farm. Every year the policy kept creeping higher and higher. This year we decided to give a Broker a shot at quoting.
