He has a nickname in the native community because of this - Tam Scam. I switched to Dr. Tam after my dentist retired (maybe 8yrs ago give or take) Had great teeth back then, no problems but then I got a cavity. Cavity filled, problem solved right? Nope. The filling came out. Again and again and again. I've been getting this same tooth filled almost annually since I first got that cavity and over the years it's only gotten worse. That cavity became an abscess (which is agonizing and in severe cases potentially life threatening) I had a root canal and it was filled in again. Yet again the filling has come undone, the cavity exposed and now I have no nerves there to tell me how worried I should be. Today part of that tooth has literally just fallen off while I ate food that wasn't even very solid and now it feels sharp and scrapey, which is what prompted me to write this review. Thank you Tam, for making a simple cavity an ongoing ordeal for me and making sure that I never take dental health for granted ever again. Just so you could earn a few extra bucks off my health coverage. Well maybe more than a few...

I'm very pleased so far: they're on time, prompt, thorough, and attentive. My cleaning was fantastic, one of the best I've had in years. Dr Ryan has done a great job with a filling and starting the work on a crown I needed: it's been pain-free, and all explained as I go along. And the front-of-office staff are super, too. They worked with me when I was changing my insurance coverage, and helped me maximize the benefit. They rang me a week after my temporary crown just to see how I was feeling (no discomfort at all, as it happens). And they'll give you vouchers for free parking at the Purdys Wharf parkade, too.

I could not be more thrilled with my choice! First of all, the office is very slick and modern and they are very high-tech. They do everything on the computer and appear to have lots of neat dental software to get the job done, which is refreshing (my last clinic was kind of stuck in the 1990's, honestly). You can book appointments online, and they will even email and text you reminders for appointments - as a busy, mobile person permanently attached to either a computer or smartphone, I really appreciate the convenience. The staff is all super nice here and really make you feel comfortable. I can't remember the name of the hygienist who did my cleaning but she was SO warm and friendly and clearly explained everything she was doing, which took a great deal of anxiety out of the process. I am really glad that my instincts were correct and my rather random choice of clinic paid off! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I called this place and the first thing the receptionist said was "I'm so sorry i can't fit you in today." She did find an appointment the next day. Wonderful! A new dentist, a woman, told me it was time for a crown on one of my molars. She did such a terrible job, she created a large gap between my teeth...a food trap. I was having discomfort from day one, I even delayed paying them because my tooth was causing me pain. I found a new dentist that helped filled the gap, treated me with respect. This new dentist has now advised me that decay is now to the bone. I now have to have a very expensive procedure that involves an implant. Doesn't bother me. Like I said before, need dentist, go to dentist. Anyways, I made an appointment and went. The staff are some of the friendliest people you ever want to meet! They have coffee while you wait, which I thought was weird.. coffee breath? Not really something I want right before someone digging in my mouth, but it's a nice touch. The Hygienist is nice and knows her stuff. As for my dentist? She could be my best friend. She is amazing. So friendly and genuine in her interactions with you. She also worked with me and my dental plan so that she didn't go over. She explained what was going on with my teeth, showed me photos (which I thought was cool) during the process of filling a tooth. Gross and awesome all at the same time. She's constantly checking in while working on your teeth to make sure you're doing okay and diligent with keeping your airways clear! If you get fillings and have to wear "the raincoat" you know what I'm talking about. Her dental assistant is also a sweet heart. They are an awesome team, the whole lot of them. I can't lie, I thought the building was pretty sketchy on the outside but I would 100% recommend anyone who needs a dentist going here. The inside is lovely and I've only had fantastic experiences and results here.
