Be wary of her - she submitted a number of false claims to my insurance without my knowledge. The claims were for work she did not do and some were for days I did not even have an appointment. And don't believe all the glowing reviews, even I left one at the end of my appointment just to get out of there because she pretty much stands over you as you write it. Beware!

All I did here is an assistant introduced me invisalign and braces, and then a doc came and did some simple check. Then the doc said: yes we could do it. Done. No advice, no plan. I even hesitate can they really do orthodontic treatment. The most surprised me part is it charge me without any informing. I have done this consultant in seven clinic and none of them charged me(while that maybe not usual), one of them informed me before I booked the appointment(so that I could decide if I would go). For general dentist request, I don't know. But for orthodontic, definitely not.

It had been awhile since I had been to the dentist and I choose this business due to its location, but against the advise of some friends and colleagues that know the Halifax area better than me. I arrived to be surprised by its posh appearance and realized it doesn't feel like a more traditional family dentistry (they even have televisions above the dentist chair) I assumed their services would come at a cost. Dr. Crosby saw me after his assistant poked around in my mouth for a bit. He seemed rather uninterested and routinely looked at his watch. I was informed I would need a ton of work done and reception would do up a proposed bill which would be explained to me. The proposed bill was for 5333$ and my effort for an explanation as to why it was so expensive went unanswered. They were however, eager to get me booked in. I left Complete Family Dentistry confused and frustrated, my teeth still hurting. I decided to head up the road to get a second opinion from another dentistry. Upon seeing a new Doctor I am now pain free after a root canal, cleaning and full new patient exam which cost me about a hundred dollars out of pocket. A tremendous difference from the 5333$ bill proposed by Complete Family Dentistry.

I've always had the same dentist, and it's definitely a good way to do it. First of all, I should say that they recently renovated and for a waiting room, their waiting room is quite nice. I never have to spend much time in there, either. If I have an appointment at 11:30, I almost always get in by 11:40. This is one of the best things, I think, a health office can offer. Short waiting times. So, on to the actual treatment. They're a dentist. They do the horrible scrape-y bit, they polish your teeth, floss, and give you some nasty fluoride to stick in your mouth for a while. None of it is very fun. There's no way around that, so I'm not gonna complain about it. However, they are very thorough and keep up a constant stream of patter. Plus, they don't ask you questions while their hands are in their mouths; that can be very annoying. They're also very good for getting things done. Today I needed two teeth capped, they did it right after my cleaning. That is awesome. So, the people are friendly. They ask how I'm doing, what I've been up to. They remember me. The dentistry itself is good, they notice when things are wrong and offer good advice (more than just the token 'Floss more!'), and help you stay healthy. Plus, they have really groovy sunglasses to protect your eyes from the lights. What more could you want?

I did it purely because it was closer to my house, and came to deeply regret that decision. Dr Carr was happy to take me back and was able to help me with a potentially serious problem that the dentist at the other clinic missed. I also get my routine cleanings and check ups done here. The hygienists are great and I've never had a complaint about their work. Like most dental clinics, they will do direct billing to most insurance companies if you have coverage and bring your card with you.

I've changed dentists a year ago and switched to Evergreen, I can tell you now, a year later, I made the right choice. Very nice atmosphere, TVs overhead and headphones. They do everything on the computer and appear to have lots of neat dental software to get the job done, which is refreshing (my last clinic was kind of stuck in the 1990's, honestly). You can book appointments online, and they will even email and text you reminders for appointments - as a busy, mobile person permanently attached to either a computer or smartphone, I really appreciate the convenience. The staff is all super nice here and really make you feel comfortable. I can't remember the name of the hygienist who did my cleaning but she was SO warm and friendly and clearly explained everything she was doing, which took a great deal of anxiety out of the process. They let me leave in pain and took $100 from me. How sad is this, I was absolutely shocked they wanted me to live with this pain until January. I made an appointment with a clinic in Bedford and had the tooth repaired the same day of my visit to Lacewood. I am shocked by the lack of urgency, empathy, and basic patient care demonstrated during this appointment. I took time out of my day, drove to the clinic in pain, and left in the exact same condition -- only poorer and extremely disappointed. For comparison, I contacted another dental clinic today, as a new patient, they immediately made arrangements to treat me and address the issue so I could be pain-free during the holidays. This is the level of care I would expect from my regular dentist--especially for a straightforward repair that could have been completed quickly.
